  • GOCI the world first Ocean Color Imager in Geostationary Orbit, which could obtain total 8 images of the same region a day, however, its spatial resolution(500m) is not enough to use for the accurate land application, Super Resolution(SR), reconstructing the high resolution(HR) image from multiple low resolution(LR) images introduced by computer vision field. could be applied to the time-series remotely sensed images such as GOCI data, and the higher resolution image could be reconstructed from multiple images by the SR, and also the cloud masked area of images could be recovered. As the precedent study for developing the efficient SR method for GOCI images, on this research, it reproduced the simulated data under the acquisition process of the remote sensed data, and then the simulated images arc applied to the proposed algorithm. From the proposed algorithm result of the simulated data, it turned out that low resolution(LR) images could be registered in sub-pixel accuracy, and the reconstructed HR image including RMSE, PSNR, SSIM Index value compared with original HR image were 0.5763, 52.9183 db, 0.9486, could be obtained.

  • Analysis on forest through satellite image data can be obtained from normalized burn ration (NBR) and normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) from descriptive information of reflection on the earth's surface recorded each waveband. This study focuses on the efficiency of NBR through comparative analysis after obtaining NBR and NDVI of images form 1 you, 2 years and just after the forest fire and the time of forest-preserved of the area before the forest fire in Sacheon myeon, Cangneung City where the forest fro broke out. As a result, it shows dynamic changes with greater range that differences between NBR images rather than differences between NDVI images, which means it would be better to use NBR image for the analysis of the degrees of damages from forest fire or the status of vegetation restoration and also NBR image more distinctly shows both than NDVI image in forest fro damage area.

  • This paper attempts to propose a method to improve the snapshot boot method, one of the methods to enhance the booting speed of the embedded Linux based system and to increase its efficiency. Snapshot boot is a method of using suspend/resume that is a method of saving and restoring the entire information of the current tasks, and it enhances the booting speed by processing a restoration of previous tasks from the bootloader instead of processing the Linux booting. The facing problem of snapshot boot is that it takes a long time to create images and save them to the storage device during the suspend process since it targets every pages. Additionally, if the switch is turned off while creating an image by some extraordinary circumstances, then the image is not created and thus, the resume process of snapshot boot cannot be executed. The suggest method in this paper creates the snapshot image for once only and utilize the image to enhance the speed and stability on booting.

  • Recently, demand for digital image processing devices increases rapidly, more clear images have been required. But, in the process of digital image acquisition, processing and transmission, image degradation occurs due to various external reasons and researches about noise reduction are on the rise. Therefore, this study suggested the algorithm to process AWGN(additive white Gaussian noise) by separately processing as three levels according to the pixel distribution in the mask in order to remove AWGN(additive white Gaussian noise) which is added in the image. Regarding the processed results by applying Barbara images which were damaged by AWGN(σ = 15), suggested algorithm showed the improvement by 2.87[dB], 2.95[dB], 2.88[dB], 1.52[dB], 1.49[dB], 1.58[dB] and 1.25[dB] respectively compared with the existing MF(5 × 5), A-TMF(5 × 5), AWMF(5 × 5), MF(3 × 3), A-TMF(3 × 3), AWMF(3 × 3), GF(5 × 5).

  • There is currently a burgeoning demand for image synthesis from photos and videos using deep learning models. Existing video synthesis models solely extract motion information from the provided video to generate animation effects on photos. However, these synthesis models encounter challenges in achieving accurate lip synchronization with the audio and maintaining the image quality of the synthesized output. To tackle these issues, this paper introduces a novel framework based on an image animation approach. Within this framework, upon receiving a photo, a video, and audio input, it produces an output that not only retains the unique characteristics of the individuals in the photo but also synchronizes their movements with the provided video, achieving lip synchronization with the audio. Furthermore, a super-resolution model is employed to enhance the quality and resolution of the synthesized output.

  • This study aims to seek adequate and optimized method of applying high quality three-dimensional spatial data created via high-resolution digital aerial photograph image and aerial LiDAR data onto three-dimensional planning of environmentally friendly, ecological restoration of rivers in accordance with irrigation and flood control objectives of urban rivers. Through three-dimensional modeling of before and after the restoration, the research also offers basic information regarding restorations of rivers. Also the transition from the conventional two-dimensional planning into three-dimensional planning environment using smart spatial information acquire accuracy of river analysis, analyze possible civil complaints and suggest solutions to potential problems.

  • As supplying of automatic surveillance or patrol systems based on image processing, the needs on object extraction technology from images increases. The extraction is more difficult when the lighting condition is changed from time to time. There are many approaches to extract objects from images excluding shadow. They have a common problem something like loss of object region according with shadow removal. In this paper a restoration method using color information of objects to complement the problem is presented. The usefulness of the method is verified using images taken from different lighting conditions and selected from well-known DB.

  • Recently environmental and ecological river management have been held in high repute, therefore it needs to river restoration and management works considering topographical shape of river. This study estimated the change of topographical shape in Gab- and Yudeung-River using time-series aerial photos. Especially, we selected location points of river facilities as weir and bridge that were built and removed and the confluence of Gab- and Yudeung-River. And we investigated the change of time-series flux and flow-direction. Also, through the estimation of sediment by river flow together, it is possible to supply decision making data that is very important to instream flow and environmental and ecological river restoration in urban stream.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate factors and variables which have significant effects on visual preference of urban stream in Taejon city and to suggest design & management information for urban stream. These works consist of two phases. First, we tested the Hyechon college students' visual preference for 36 spots of urban stream slide and then selected 10 spots slide by the Sturges' formula. Second, we analyzed factors and variables of visual preference of urban stream using the semantic differential scale method and then processed using descriptive analysis, factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. The difference of landscape adjectives between the highest score of visual preference slide (No.10) and the lowest score of visual preference slide (No.2) was cleanness. 2. Three factors, the nature, the cleanness and the movement, were derived from the factor analysis. 3. Factors covering the visual preference of urban stream have been found to be the landscape of urban stream, the nature, the cleanness, and the movement. The visual preference factors of urban stream need to be considered in creating or restoring the ecological urban stream landscape.

  • Global warming also has effects on the phenology. The limitation of phenology study is an acquisition of phenology data. Satellite images analysis can make up limitation of monitering data. This study is to analyze spatial distribution and characteristics of phenology changes using MODIS images. Research data collected images of 16 day intervals of 11 years from year 2001 to 2010. The data analyzed 228 images of 11 years. It can figure out changes of phenology by analyzing enhanced vegetation index of MODIS image. We made a comparison between changes of phenology and flowering of cherry blossoms. As a results, Startup of season spatially was getting late from southern area to north area. Startup of Phenology was foreshortened 13 days during 11 years, and change ratios of cherry blooming was getting more faster from 0.18 dat to 0.22 day per year during that same period.
