나트륨 섭취 감소를 위한 식품표시 개선에 대한 연구 (A Study on Introduction of New Food Labeling for Reduction of Sodium Intake)

  • The objective of this study is to provide direction in the improvement of sodium labeling in an effort to reduce consumption. We surveyed confirmation and importance of food labeling and nutrition information and we also analyzed the willingness to pay on new nutrients labeling. Consumers checked the sell-by-date, product name, method of intake, but not nutritional information. They also checked for calories and carbohydrates but they were not interested in sodium, sugar, and trans fat which are health hazard nutrients. It is necessary to improve nutrition labeling, because consumers are experiencing difficulties in obtaining sodium information under the nutrition labeling system. Consumers will pay about 0.66% more if new sodium labeling is introduced. In conclusion, food labeling system can be improved by smooth and efficient access of information. for health-hazard nutritional components, such as sodium, it is important to introduce policies that reduce their intake. This can be done by providing consumers with clear and concise information. The social costs of high sodium intake could be reduced, hence improving the national health.

한국 제조업의 에너지효율 향상평가 (Energy Efficiency Improvements in the Korean Industry)

  • This study analyses the energy consumption increase by using a physical production index (PPI) based decomposition method. The energy efficiency of the Korean industry deteriorated to a large extent in the 1992 to 1997 period. This outcome, however, does not contradict the result of a previous study that the physical energy intensities (measured by energy use per production unit) decreased in four Korean energy intensive industries such as steel, cement, petrochemical and pulp and paper in the same period. Although the physical energy intensities in four industries considered decreased significantly, the energy efficiency of the Korean industry deteriorated because the increase in the value-added production was smaller than that in the physical production except for the steel industry. This outcome suggests that the reduction in the physical energy intensity alone will not result in reducing the economic energy intensity, thereby reducing the increase in the energy consumption of the Korean industry. Therefore, it necessitates to restructure the Korean industry towards a higher value-added production and to strengthen energy efficiency improvement efforts in the Korean industry. As the overinvestment in the energy intensive industries caused a deep price fall of Korean products and a reduction of the value added of the Korean industry and with it an increase in the economic energy intensity, a decrease in this intensity will highly depend on reducing the overcapacity in the energy intensive industries which was partly responsible for the currency and economic crisis of 1997.

실물옵션 게임을 이용한 OPEC의 원유공급 투자모형 (An Investment Model for OPEC Crude Oil Supply with Real Option Game)

  • 시장점유율을 고려한 OPEC와 비OPEC의 게임을 고려한 원유공급 투자모형을 분석한다. 국제유가의 불확실성을 반영하기 위하여 확률투자모형인 실물옵션 모형을 이용한다. 원유공급시설의 확장 및 감축을 위한 조정은 국제유가로 표시되는 분기점으로 나타난다. 국제유가가 확장(감축)분기점을 초과(하회)하면 OPEC는 공급시설을 확장(감축)한다. 최근 국제유가를 활용한 시뮬레이션 분석 결과, 확장분기점은 배스켓 가격 기준으로 높게는 56.93달러/배럴, 낮게는 48.44달러/배럴인 것으로 나타났으며, 감축분기점은 36.52달러/배럴과 36.93달러/배럴 사이에 머무는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 무기성 산업폐기물을 이용한 $CO_2$ 고형화 연구는 폐콘크리트 시멘트 미분말 등 무기성 산업폐부산물의 성분 중의 CaO 또는 MgO 성분과 지구온난화의 주범인 $CO_2$와 반응시켜 탄소를 안정적으로 고형화시켜 대기 중의 $CO_2$의 발생을 저감시키는 연구이다. 본 고에서는 산업 현장 및 도시에서 발생되는 $CO_2$의 대기 방출을 저감시킴과 동시에 산업폐부산물의 유효 자원화를 위한 $CO_2$ 고형화 연구의 국내외 기술 동향을 파악하고, 이를 통해 한국형 $CO_2$ 저감 및 활용 기술을 제시하고자 한다.

대형선망어업의 생산력 재편과 경영 개선 과제 (The Study on the Reorganization of the Large Purse Seine Fisheries in Korea)

  • The aims of this study are to examine urgent problems for reorganization into future-proof large purse seine fisheries in order to positively cope with rapidly changing domestic and foreign fisheries circumstances. First, this paper provides current situations of the large purse seine fisheries. The current situations of it are composed of fisheries influence such as vessel number, vessel power, and fisher number, use of resource and fishing places, and changes in products and sales of species caught by the large purse seine. Secondly, this paper reviews current problems of the large purse seine fisheries including cost reduction and increase of value added. Thirdly, this paper suggests basic development direction and countermeasures for strengthening competitiveness of the large purse seine fisheries. In conclusion, urgent problems of the larger purse seine fisheries can be summarized as inefficiency of distribution structures and retarded landing system and facilities as well as the worse of profitability according to shrink of fishing places, reduction of products, lack of workers, and increase in oil price. To solve the urgent problems, the large purse seine fisheries should be changed into an industry with low cost and high efficiency, and also need to introduce of new production system, strengthen autonomous management of natural resource, and increase in value added to products.

상위수준합성을 위한 배정가능범위 축소 스케줄링 (Mobility Reduction Scheduling for High-Level Synthesis)

  • 본 논문은 자원제약 조건하에서 파이프라인 데이타패스 합성을 위한 스케줄링 방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 연산의 배정 가능한 제어단계들 중에서 처음과 마지막 제어단계에 임시로 연산을 배정하여 스케줄링 해가 존재하는지를 평가한다. 만약 해를 발견할 수 없다면 이는 자원제약 위반에 의해 연산을 그 제어단계에 배정하는 것이 불가능함을 의미하기 때문에 그 제어단계를 배정 가능한 제어단계 후보에서 제거한다 제안 알고리즘은 점진적 배정가능범위 축소에 기초하여 스케줄하고 자원 배정에 대한 영향을 고려하여 성능개선을 위한 해를 찾는다. 벤치마크에 대한 실험결과는 기존 방법들과 비교하여 개선된 실험결과를 보였다.

바이오에탄올 생산을 위한 바이오매스 자원으로서 버섯골목의 이용 가능성 평가 (Evaluation on the utilization possibility of waste mushroom logs as biomass resource for bioethanol production)

  • In order to investigate the possibility of waste mushroom logs as biomass resource chemical and physical characteristics of normal woods and waste mushroom logs such as crystallinity value, energy consumption, total sugar yield after hydrolysis chemical compounds and molecular weight distribution after acid hydrolysis, were examined. In the results, crystallinity of waste mushroom logs which were three year passed after the inoculation was decreased drastically from 49% to 33% during the cultivation. Lignin contents as chemical compounds of normal woods and waste mushroom logs were 21.07% and 18.78%, respectively. By the results of measurement of energy consumption, the size reduction of normal woods required a significantly higher energy than that of waste mushroom logs. In the hydrolysis, total sugar yield by enzyme and acid hydrolysis were high in waste mushroom logs(53% 57.5%) than in normal woods(42.9%, 47.17%). According to the molecular weight distribution using GPC, low molecular weight compounds were distributed in waste mushroom logs. Based on these results, waste mushroom logs have enough potential as material for developing alternative energy because of easily conversion to sugar by various hydrolysis methods and requirement of low energy consumption during size reduction.

Environmental Governance Practices of Local Government Units on Waste Policy Implementation

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study is to determine the level of environmental governance practices of Local Government Units (LGUs) on the implementation of waste policies. It determines the level of compliance with the waste policies implemented by LGUs particularly on waste resource conservation and waste reduction; the degree of the implementation of the environmental governance on education, values, health, and economic sufficiency. Also, it determines the initiatives done by the local government units to decentralize the leadership on waste sustainability. Research Methodology: The survey method was employed to gather information from municipalities and cities on waste programs implemented by the local government units. The data were gathered from households, schools, businesses and industries; and local government units. Results and Conclusions: The findings revealed that the level of environmental governance on waste reduction and waste resource conservation was fairly implemented by the local government units. The LGUs used the four areas of governance to keep the municipality self-sufficient, well-managed, and free from waste issues. The research can be used by the academe as a good teaching material for social responsibility, public administration, strategic management, and environmental-related courses.

주택 라돈 저감의 건강 효과와 사회적 편익 (Health Effects and Social Benefit of Residential Radon Reduction)

  • 라돈은 폐암사망 위험을 일으키는 방사성 가스이다. 본 논문은 조건부가치측정법(CVM)을 이용하여 우리나라 주택에서의 라돈 노출로 인한 사망자의 통계적 생명가치(VSL)를 20억 5,373만 원으로 추정하였다. 2020년의 경우, 주택 라돈으로 인한 사망자 수는 2,330명, 그 사회적 비용은 4조 7,836억 원으로 추정하였다. 주택에 대한 국가 라돈 농도 규제기준을 200Bq/m3로 설정하면 691명의 사망자 수가 감소하여 1조 4,191억 원의 사회적 편익이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 논문은 주택 라돈 노출의 원천과 특징 및 건강위해성(health risk)을 상세히 논하고 주택 라돈 저감을 위한 정책 예산의 획기적인 증액이 중요함을 강조하였다.

한국 탄도만 낙지자원의 이용과 관리 (Autilization and management of common octopus (Octopus minor) resources in the Tando bay on the southwest coast of Korea)

  • This study is to contribute to income growth of fishermen by the common octopus fishery characterized in the Tando Bay on the southwest coast of Korea. This area is engaged in Longline fishing (301 persons), Shovel fishing (196 persons), Trap fishing (14 persons) and Torch light fishing (40 persons) in 2008. Population who is joined in the spring becomes main fishery target population of longline fishery in the fall because entering fishing ground in August, and is joined in the fall becomes main fishery target population of longline fishery in the spring because entering fishing ground in December. Average size of common octopus examined by longline 6.26cm, 5.82cm for Shovel fishing, 8.09cm for trap, and expressed big difference by fishery. It needs necessary various kinds of Octopus resource management actions and methods in continuous use. Specially, Fishing force increased by fishing automation system, so the reduction of fishing force is needed to increased by fishing force. Government support and fishermen's self-conscious of resource management is needed.
