공명기를 이용한 고배속 슬림형 드라이브의 유동기인 소음저감에 관한 연구 (Reduction of Aerodynamic Noise for a High-Speed Slim-Type Optical Disk Drive by Applying the Principle of Resonator)

  • As the demand for the lap-top computer has been increased, most users ask quiet environment to work comfortably. Therefore, noise problems of an ODD are of great interest. For the high speed ODD, the flow induced noise is caused by the turbulent flow[1], which is known to be a major source of overall noise of a slim type ODD. In this study, we introduce a new attempt to reduce the noise level using the concept of Helmholtz resonator[2].The experimental analysis is carried out for several cases at different resonance frequencies and different hole patterns. The results show reductions in the noise level from the acoustic noise absorption point of view.

제2종 위상정합용 $KTiOPO_4$와 고리형 공동을 이용한 제2고조파 발진 (Second Harmonic Generation with a Type II Phase-Matched $KTiOPO_4$ and an External Ring Cavity)

  • 진동수 안정화동 Nd:YAG 레이저, KTP 단결정, 그리고 외부 공명 공동을 사용하여 제2고조파 발생 장치를 제작하였다. 제2종 위상정합을 이용하는 경우 문제가 되는 정상광선과 이상광선 사이의 벗어남 각과, 두 광선이 모두 공동에 공명하게 하는 이중 공명의 조건을 결정의 온도와 광 입사각의 조절을 통해 최적화 하였다. 그 결과로써 318mW의 근원파에 대해 26mW의 제2고조파 출력을 얻을 수 있었다.

High Pressure Synthesis and Physical Properties of the Solid Solution, $SrLaAl_{1-x}Ni_xO_4(0

  • A complete solid solution (SrLaAl1-xNixO4) between insulating SrLaAlO4 and metallic SrLaNi(Ⅲ)O4 oxides were prepared under high oxygen pressure (1.5 kbar, 800 ℃). They have tetragonal K2NiF4-type structure in all the solid solution range. Compared with lattice parameters of the same solid solution prepared under normal condition (1 bar, 1200 ℃), large decrease in the c-parameter was induced by high pressure treatment while no noticeable variation of the a-parameter was observed. Although marked changes of structural parameters, magnetic susceptibilities, and electron paramagnetic resonance spectra were consistently occurred before and after x=0.5, overall behaviors were essentially the same with those of solid solution prepared under normal condition. Such a phenomenon is explained by assuming the formation of partially filled narrow σ*x2-y2 band for x>0.5. Lattice contraction along the c-axis by high pressure treatment seems not to broaden this band. Particularly, the continuous absorption characteristic of a high free carrier concentration for x>0.5 and the absence of Ni-O in-plane stretching mode in the infrared absorption spectra supports this picture. However, the conductivities increasing with temperature for all solid solution suggest that some localization character, of probably Anderson type, remains for x>0.5.

유기 킬레이터들을 이용한 구리 식각에 대한 반응성 평가 (Reactivity Evaluation on Copper Etching Using Organic Chelators)

  • The reactivity evaluation of copper is performed using ethylenediamine, aminoethanol, and piperidine to apply organic chelators to copper etching. It is revealed that piperidine, which is a ring-type chelator, has the lowest reactivity on copper and copper oxide and ethylenediamine, which is a chain-type chelator, has the highest reactivity via inductively coupled plasma-mass spectroscopy (ICP-MS). Furthermore, it is confirmed that the stable complex of copper-ethylenediamine can be formed during the reaction between copper and ethylenediamine using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and radio-thin layer chromatography. As a final evaluation, the copper reactivity is evaluated by wet etching using each solution. Scanning electron micrographs reveal that the degree of copper reaction in ethylenediamine is stronger than that in any other chelator. This result is in good agreement with the evaluation results obtained by ICP-MS and NMR. It is concluded that ethylenediamine is a prospective etch gas for the dry etching of the copper.

Presurgical assessment of splenic tumors in dogs: a retrospective study of 57 cases (2012-2017)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical and imaging characteristics of canine splenic tumors and to establish guidelines for the presurgical assessment of splenic tumors in dogs. Fifty-seven dogs that underwent total splenectomy for the treatment of splenic tumors were evaluated by examining medical records, hematologic results, diagnostic imaging results, and histopathologic results. The maximum lesion size from ultrasonography was significantly different between malignant and benign tumors (p = 0.002). There was a correlation between tumor margination and type of splenic tumors (p = 0.045). Precontrast lesion attenuation on computed tomography was significantly different between splenic malignant and benign tumors (p = 0.001). The mean ${\pm}$ SD precontrast lesion attenuation of malignant tumors was $40.3{\pm}5.9$ Hounsfield units (HU), and for benign tumors, it was $52.8{\pm}6.8HU$. In conclusion, some variables of the imaging examination could be used to distinguish the type of splenic tumor. Based on the study results, using a diagnostic flowchart would be effective in increasing the survival rate of patients with splenic malignant tumors. In addition, fine needle aspiration or magnetic resonance imaging prior to surgical exploration and histopathologic examination may be useful in achieving a more accurate diagnosis.

신경 섬유종증 1형 환자의 양측 후두 신경통: 증례보고 (Bilateral Occipital Neuralgia in a Patient with Neurofibromatosis Type 1: A Case Report)

  • Plexiform neurofibromas (PNFs) represent an uncommon variant (30%) of neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1), in which neurofibromas arise from multiple nerves as bulging and deforming masses involving connective tissue and skin folds. We report the case of a 17-year-old man with known NF-1 presenting with bilateral occipital neuralgia that began in his late adolescence. His chief complaint was radiating pain in the occiput induced by protective helmet wear when riding alpine skiing. Craniofacial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) confirmed the presence of fusiform masses arising from the bilateral greater occipital nerves. Histopathological examination of the biopsy samples showed PNFs. After surgical treatment, the patient's symptoms completely improved. Unlike cutaneous neurofibromas, PNFs have different clinical characteristics and have the risk of malignant mutations. Correct diagnosis and adequate surgical treatment are necessary for PNFs.

  • Recently, there has been continuous technological development in the semiconductor industry, and semiconductor manufacturing technologies are being advanced and highly integrated. For this reason, ceramic material having excellent heat resistance, wear resistance, and conductivity are used as components in semiconductor manufacturing. Among them, the probe card's space transformer is used as ceramic material to prevent electronic signal noise during the electrical die sorting of semiconductor function testing. However, implementing a bulk-type space transformer with a thickness of 5.6 mm or more is challenging, and thus it is produced in a structure with a stacked ceramic film. The stacked space transformer has low productivity because it is difficult to ensure hole clogging and a precise shape. In this research, an ultrasonic horn is designed to manufacture a bulk-type ceramic space transformer through ultrasonic drilling. Vibration characteristics were analyzed according to the ultrasonic horn, and the natural frequency was measured.

Si3N4장벽층을 이용한 경사형 모서리 접합의 터널링 자기저항 특성 (Tunneling Magnetoresistance of a Ramp-edge Type Junction With Si3N4 Barrier)

  • 경사형 모서리접합을 이용한 터널링 자기저항(tunneling magnetoresistance; TMR) 특성을 연구하였다. 박막 증착과 식각은 스퍼터링과 사이크로트론 전자공명 (electron cyclotron resonance; ECR) 장치를 각각 사용하였다. Si$_3$N$_4$ 장벽층을 이용한 접합의 다층구조는 NiO(60)/Co(10)/NiO(60)/Si$_3$N$_4$(2-6)/NiFe(10) (nm)이었다. 상하부 반강자성체 NiO에 삽입된 wedged 형태의 고정층 Co와 장벽층 Si$_3$N$_4$위에 경사진 비대칭 구조에서 자유층 NiFe간의 접합에서 일어나는 특이한 스핀의존 터널링 현상이 관찰되었다. 외부자장이 0Oe일 때와 접합경계선에 수직방향으로 90Oe일 때 측정한 접합소자의 전류전압특성 곡선이 현저하게 구별되어 나타났다. TMR의 인가 전압의존성은 $\pm$10 V일 때도 약 -10%을 유지하는 매우 안정된 자기저항 특성을 보여주었다.

  • 풍력 발전 분야는 앞으로 에너지 대란에 있어서 이를 해결해 줄 중요한 돌파구 중의 하나이다. 지금까지 연구되어 온 풍력발전기의 Tower에 대한 분야는 정적인 해석에 그치고 있다. 본 연구에서는 타워의 형태를 크게 두 가지 Tubular Type와 Jacket Type으로 정하고 이것에 대한 각각의 특성을 파악하며, 그 경향을 찾아내 이를 실제 설계 및 제작에 적용하고자 하였다. 본 논문에서는 타워의 모드별 고유진동수를 파악하고 이것에 대한 특성을 연구하였으며, 작동 중 발생하는 하중과 해상 설치 시 작용하는 부가질량의 영향에 대하여 고려하여 그 특성을 파악하였고 두가지 유형의 타워의 특성을 비교하여 그 경향을 예측 할 수 있었다.

H-형태 소형 개구를 가진 직사각형 도파관 탐침의 공진 투과 (Resonant Transmission of a Rectangular Waveguide Probe with H-type Small Aperture)

  • 근접장 마이크로파 현미경에 사용되는 도파관 탐침 구조에 대해 기존의 폭이 좁은 사각형 개구를 대신하여 H-형태 개구 구조를 제안하였고, 두 구조의 성능 평가지표로서 투과 효율과 스팟 크기를 비교 분석하였다. 비교결과로 투과 효율은 비슷하였지만, 스팟 크기 면에서는 H-형태 개구 구조가 훨씬 작아서 해상도 측면에서 개선된 형태의 탐침 구조로 사용될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이런 H-형태 개구의 이점을 이용하면 광 정보 저장, 나노리소그래픽, 나노 현미경과 같은 근접장 광학 장치가 상당히 성능 개선될 것이다. 또한, 도파관 탐침에 공진기가 부착된 구조에서 투과 효율이 향상됨을 확인하였다.
