This study aims to examine the structure and meaning of the perception of rural amenity which rural and urban residents have. Many Lickert scaled questions measure how much important the respondents think about the various items related to rural amenity respectively. It reveals that there is not meaningful difference in the relative importance among three upper dimensions composing the construct of rural amenity, historic-cultural dimension, natural environmental dimension and living condition dimension. This means that our respondents are not willing to pursue historic-cultural aspects and natural environmental aspects at the risk of living condition being able to enjoy comfortable and affluent opportunities. And also, this results reveals that people might have a quite different perception compared with academic discourse putting much weight on historic-cultural dimension and natural environmental dimension.
In this study, the relative importance for the perception of managers on the comprehensive rural village development projects was evaluated using the AHP method. The fields for evaluation were 4 fields including human relationships, working conditions, work compensation and work burnout. Also, the relative importance for the perception of managers and priority order were analyzed through 15 evaluation items. The analysis result shows that the human relationships among 4 fields were regarded as the most important field, followed by work compensation, working conditions and work burnout. Also, the relationship with the chairperson for the human relationships, continuity of employment for the working conditions, salary for work compensation, and mental stress for work burnout were considered respectively as the most important item. Also, salary among all evaluation items was considered as the most important item for the relative importance, followed by continuity of employment, relationship with village residents and mental stress. However, work load, consulting firms, impersonal treatment and the relations between the administration showed relatively low importance and priority order. It is considered that this analysis result will be used as important preliminary data for establishing the role of manager in the comprehensive rural village development project.
The purpose of this study was to examine wandering behaviors of the elderly with dementia at elderly care facilities, thus finding out the current status of supportability and safety of wandering space for facility residents and looking into the convenience of management for the control and Support of the elderly with dementia in wandering space, from the aspect of managers. Study methods consisted of literature examination, on-site assessment and investigation, observation and questionnaire survey. And via a questionnaire survey of facility workers at study subject facilities, the current status and facility workers' perception of wandering space and their job-satisfaction were examined. Collected data of 133 respondents were used for analysis. Data were processed with the SPSS 18.0 program, and such analytic techniques as frequency, percentage, mean, multiple response analysis, chi-square test and correlation analysis were carried out. The problems of physical environment of wandering space for the elderly with dementia: First, it is urgent to establish wandering space. Second, thoughtlessly installed chairs in the corridor impeded wandering behaviors. Third, the grips installed in the corridor space were irregular, thus causing inconvenience for wandering behaviors. Thus making residents' use of it difficult. In order to improve these problems, it is necessary to newly or additionally establish wandering space and modify the location of chairs or establish alcoves, thus reducing impedimentary elements for wandering behaviors. Providing a proper wandering space is important for facility residents. And it is also important for facility workers to manage facility residents.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to compare community residents' perceptions, participation, satisfaction, and behavioral changes between a health promotion demonstration health center and general health center. Method: The design of the study was ex-post facto that compared community residents in demonstration health centers and general health centers. The sample included 2,261 community residents who were conveniently selected from demonstration (792 participants) and general health centers (1,496 participants). Result: The results of the study were as follows: 1) Perception and participation rates of exercise, nutrition, and hypertension management programs were significantly higher in the participants of demonstration health centers than those of general health centers.; 2) Satisfaction rates of all programs except the smoking cessation program were significantly higher in the participants of demonstration health centers than those of general health centers. However, only the exercise rate among risk behaviors of participants was significantly higher in demonstration health centers than general health centers. Conclusion: Systematic efforts for health promotion were effective not only in improving the community's awareness, participation, and satisfaction of the program, but also in changing health behaviors. This evidence should be used to foster and disseminate health promotion programs toother health centers to improve community residents' health status and quality of life.

Cancer illness representations and screening history among residents of Kolkata, India, were investigated along with socio-demographic characteristics in an effort to understand possible motivations for health behavior. A total of 106 participants were recruited from community locations in Kolkata, India and completed surveys including demographics, the illness perception questionnaire-revised (IPQ-R), and previous experience with cancer and screening practices. Participants were 51.5% college educated, 57% female, 51.5% full-time employed with average age of 32.7 years (R: 18-60 years). Descriptive statistics were generated for the subscales of the IPQ-R, cancer-screening practices and cancer experience. Correlation analyses were conducted to investigate associations between cancer representations and socio-demographic variables. Univariate ANOVAs were calculated to determine gender differences in IPQ-R subscales and differences between participants who knew someone diagnosed with cancer versus those who did not. While 76% of participants knew someone with cancer, only 5% of the sample engaged in cancer screening. Participants perceived cancer as a serious illness with negative emotional valence. Younger age (r(100)=-.36, p<0.001) and male gender (F(1, 98)=5.22, p=0.01, ${\eta}_2$=0.05) were associated with better illness coherence. Males also reported greater personal control (F(1, 98)=5.34, p=0.02, ${\eta}_2$=0.05) were associated with better illness coherence. Low screening rates precluded analyses of the relationship between illness representations and cancer screening. Cancer was viewed as a threatening and uncontrollable disease among this sample of educated, middle class Kolkata residents. This view may act as a barrier to seeking cancer screening. Public awareness campaigns aimed at improving understanding of the causes, symptoms and consequences of cancer might reduce misunderstandings and fear, especially among women and older populations, who report less comprehension of cancer.

Recently, the rapidly growing new generation of renewable energy projects has emerged as an artificial building that creates a mix of natural environments and disruption to the environment. It serves as a quality inhibitor for rural landscapes and implies the absence of favorable rural landscape. Therefore, the study looked at the color scheme of residents, visitors, and experts in the village, which changed the color of the landscape, and analyzed the color scheme of residents, visitors, and experts. In order to do so, the village was divided into three types and conducted a survey by the general public and experts. In the case of the survey, residents of the three districts (Yeoju, Dam yang, Jeju) were surveyed for 210 residents, and the survey conducted a survey and analysis of 30 people in the area. As a result, both the general public and experts recognized the color change in the energy business, which resulted in the identification of associations and colors of the village. In addition, the recognition and satisfaction of the current situation showed that the education programs for the public were more important than the professionals, as the public show ed low levels of public awareness. Based on this research, we expect to be able to utilize the plan as a guideline for the project of installing solar panels, which is expected to be implemented in the beginning of the project, and can be used as a guideline for the establishment of the solar panels.
This study was carried out for 1 year between 1990 and 1991. The interviewers visited 513 households to evaluate the perception of the residents using the Simple Piped Water Supply (SPWS), and examined the pollution source surrounding 48 SPWS facilities and water quality by the chemical and microbiological method. The purpose of this study was to find out problems linked with SPWS and to investigate more efficient way of improvement in rural water supply. The results of the study are summarized as follows: 1) Approximately 44.0% of the sampled population have been served by simple piped water supply. 2) The drinking water was mostly taken from the springs in 8 sites and valley water in 40 sites. 3) Considering the type of distribution of the SPWS, there are 40 natural gravity systems and 8 pumping systems. 4) Out of the 180 SPWS in Chun Sung Area, 73.9% of the SPWS facilities %'ere used more than ten years. 5) 47.4% of the SPWS facilities are neighbored with pollution source. 6) 42.4% of the maintenance crews were not committed to their job but instead, the facilities were operated by some residents or community leaders who were personally concerned about quality of the facilities. 7) About 36.9% of the residents complaind that the amount of daily water supply is not adequate. 8) About 55.6% of the residents felt that the water quality is good for drinking water and therefore, But in contrast, the biochemical tests indicated that most of the SPWS met the drinking water quality standards. 9) Under the present water analysis system, The method of sampling and analysis are not effective, so that analysis system shoud be done by local health center.

The causes and effects of intra-urban spatial inequality have received much scholarly attention. However, the effects of urban spatial inequality on resident perceptions and the mechanisms through which it is sustained and reproduced remain mostly unknown. This study aimed to investigate whether regional deprivation, the relative socioeconomic standing of a region, affects the residents' perceptions of upward social mobility. By employing the ordinal logistic multilevel model to analyze nested data collected from Seoul, South Korea, this study found that the regional deprivation has a significant negative effect on residents' perception of upward social mobility. The results of this study suggest that one way in which spatial inequality is sustained and reproduced is by the effects of regional deprivation, having negative impacts on the aspirations and socioeconomic activities of residents. This study is expected to provide meaningful implications for planning and policy aimed to combat spatial inequality.
The purposes of this study were to understand the resident' attitudes toward national parks and to identify the residents' perceptions of tourism and the influence of socioeconomic characteristics on their response. In winter of 1997, 153 questionnaires were obtained from a convenience sample of households within Soraksan National Park boundary. The residents perceived both positive and negative environmental and economic impacts of tourism, however, they were reluctant to attribute social costs to tourism. Despite some negative tourism impacts, most of the residents supported additional tourism development and disagreed to limit the number of visitors. Their perceptions of tourism impacts were varied with age, education level, economic dependency on tourism, place of residence, and length of residence.
Background: We conducted a cross-sectional study of residents within and outside Fukushima Prefecture to clarify their perceptions of the need for smartphone applications (apps) for explaining exposure doses. The results will lead to more effective methods for identifying target groups for future app development by researchers and municipalities, which will promote residents' understanding of radiological situations. Materials and Methods: In November 2019, 400 people in Fukushima Prefecture and 400 people outside were surveyed via a web-based questionnaire. In addition to basic characteristics, survey items included concerns about radiation levels and intention to use a smartphone app to keep track of exposure. The analysis was conducted by stratifying responses in each region and then cross-tabulating responses to concerns about radiation levels and intention to use an app by demographic variables. The intention to use an app was analyzed by binomial logistic regression analysis. Text-mining analyses were conducted in KH Coder software. Results and Discussion: Outside Fukushima Prefecture, concerns about the medical exposure of women to radiation exceeded 30%. Within the prefecture, the medical exposure of women, purchasing food products, and consumption of own-grown food were the main concerns. Within the prefecture, having children under the age of 18, the experience of measurement, and having experience of evacuation were significantly related to the intention to use an app. Conclusion: Regional and individual differences were evident. Since respondents differ, it is necessary to develop and promote app use in accordance with their needs and with phases of reconstruction. We expect that a suitable app will not only collect data but also connect local service providers and residents, while protecting personal information.
