ISP(Information Strategy Planning) is the methodology to light the objective and the business system architecture, and to recognize the strategic situation for the establishment of effective information system in an organization. Customer Needs Research is one of the Research Methodology that analyze the customer needs effectively and use to establish the policy and the direction of corporation. Both have the important role to establish the strategy for the corporation. The former can propose the corporate information strategy in MIS, the latter can be used to research the customer needs about a corporation, to establish the business management strategy and to decide the way corporate must head. But each has studied independently and there is no integrated methodology of ISP and Customer Needs Research. Actually, a lot of corporations still establish ISP to increase the business efficiency rather than to satisfy the customer needs. Customer satisfaction is the final objective of all business so that corporations have to find the customer needs through Customer Needs Research and make ISP oriented to customer satisfaction through the result of Customer Needs Research.
Objectives: Limited research has investigated the specific needs of patients with cancer. This study was performed to explore patients needs and the related factors. Methods: The data were collected by 1 National Cancer Center and 9 regional cancer centers in Korea. An interview survey was performed with using a structured questionnaire for the subjects(2661 patients who gave written informed consent to particiate) survey 4 months after diagnosis and review of medical records. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. Results: When comparing the relating factors related with patient needs to the sociodemographic characteristics, the female group showed a higher level of recognition for physical symptoms, social support needs. The younger group showed a significantly higher level of recognition for health care staff, psychological problems, information and education, social support, hospital services needs. In addition, the higher educated group showed a higher level of recognition for health care staff, physical symptoms, social support needs. The higher income and office workers group showed a higher level of recognition for hospital services needs. When comparing the relating factors related with patient needs to the cancer, the breast cancer group showed a higher level of recognition for all needs excluding physical symptoms, accessibility and financial support needs. The combined radiotherapy with surgery and chemotherapy group showed a higher level of recognition for psychological problems, information and education, social support needs. Conclusions: This study showed that needs on patient with cancer was significantly influenced by female, higher educagion, lower income, having religion, office worker, liver cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, chemotherapy, and combined therapy.

While 'Computer self-efficacy' is widely studied In the social science field with regard to the training effectiveness, little research has focused on clarifying the role of 'needs' in relation to self-efficacy and outcome expectations. in this regard, this study investigated the effects of 'needs to learn computer shills,' extending the social cognitive theory. A survey instrument was adopted and modified from previous studies to measure behavioral modeling, prior experience, Perceived computer self-efficacy, Perceived needs to learn computer skills and outcome expectations. A total of 209 practitioners were surveyed in this study. As a result, most part of the social cognitive theory was again Proven to be effective, and the 'needs to learn computer skills' was proven to be significant as a moderating variable between computer self-efficacy and outcome expectations. Implications of the research were discussed, and further studies were suggested at the end.
Background: Assessment of supportive needs is the requirement to plan any supportive care program for cancer patients. There is no evidence about supportive care needs of Iranian breast cancer patients. So, the aims of present study were to investigate this question and s predictive factors. Materials and Methods: A descriptive-correlational study was conducted, followed by logistic regression analyses. The Supportive Care Needs Survey was completed by 136 breast cancer patients residing in Iran following their initial treatment. This assessed needs in five domains: psychological, health system and information, physical and daily living, patient care and support, and sexuality. Results: Patient perceived needs were highest in the health systems and information (71%), and physical and daily living (68%) domains. Logistic regression modeling revealed that younger participants have more un-met needs in all domains and those with more children reported fewer un-met needs in patient care and support domains. In addition, married women had more un-met supportive care needs related to sexuality. Conclusions: The high rate of un-met supportive care needs in all domains suggests that supportive care services are desperately required for breast cancer patients in Iran. Moreover, services that address informational needs and physical and daily living needs ought to be the priority, with particular attention paid to younger women. Further research is clearly needed to fully understand supportive care needs in this cultural context.
Based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, this research only employs whether to meet consumer needs as a measure, and focuses on the Collaboration Series between Uniqlo and KAWS to discuss the influence of the collaboration between fashion brands and artists on consumer needs. What's more, this paper also proposes whether the collaboration with artists as brands can meet the higher needs of consumers and influence new consumer groups. Finally, it is concluded that the collaboration between fashion brands and artists plays an active role in meeting the higher needs of consumers and can expand new consumer groups, which will provide reference and theoretical basis for enterprises to conduct collaboration with art, incorporate the needs of consumers into the scope of planning, and consider the collaboration with artists more comprehensively.
Purpose: The purposes of this study were to identify the perceived nursing needs and the differences by general characteristics of parents of infants in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and to provide useful evidences developing a new intervention for family-centered care in NICU. Methods: A convenience sample of 121 parents of infants in NICU was used and the participants asked to complete the Korean version of NICU Family Needs Inventory (NFNI) from April to May, 2014. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. Results: The participants reported high average score in the perceived nursing needs. In subscales, needs for assurance rated highest score and needs for information, proximity, support, and comfort were followed. Mothers reported higher nursing needs score than fathers except the subscale of support. Conclusion: The findings suggest that nurses in NICU actively provide information about treatment, nursing, results of laboratory tests, and current status to give reassurance to parents. Not only providing informational support of parents of NICU infants, but also finding methods to contact to parents is necessary. In addition, nurses need to provide optimized intervention in current healthcare system and hospital environment.
The purpose of this study was to explore nursing needs during labor pain that had been suffered by women who have given birth. It is essential to identify the nursing needs in order to solve nursing problems and to provide better care for the parturients. The sample consisted of 20 women of primiparas and 17 women of multiparas. They underwent normal labor and delivered a healthy baby at term. The data had been collected through the unstructured interviews conducted 1-2 days after delivery in the admission room from March 1998 to March 1999. On average, the interviews lasted for about 30 minutes. Interviews were taken with the consent of the subjects. The data are categorized according to the similarities of their contents. Seventeen subordinate categories and six superordinate categories have been identified. Six superordinate categories are 1) physical nursing needs 2) nursing needs of medical behavior 3) emotional nursing needs 4) informational and teaching nursing needs 5) nursing needs of pain control 6) nursing needs of respect(personality). Seventeen subordinate categories include: comfortable posture, touch, professional knowledge and techniques, duty execution, support, company and talk, stable surroundings, reassurance, information on delivery, explanation of medical behavior, information on surroundings, instruction on the case of pain, arbitrary adjustment, artificial adjustment, respect, interest and reflection of opinions. The result of this research is the same as that of foreign research and the items of the questionnaire in Korea are the same as the foreign one. Despite the same result, however, this dissertation is significant in that the research identifies the parturients nursing needs and classified the data and thus the basis has been formed to develop the tools to assess the nursing needs of the Korean parturients. The findings can be used as the guide for nursing intervention of parturients.
Objectives : This study examined the health policy researchers' needs and their accessibility towards health insurance claim datasets according to their academic capacity. Methods : An online questionnaire to capture relevant proxy variables for academic needs, accessibility, and research capacity was constructed based on previous studies. The survey was delivered to active health policy researchers through three major scholarly associations in South Korea. Seven-hundred and one scholars responded while the survey as open for 12 days (starting on December 20th, 2010). Descriptive statistics and logistic regression analysis were carried out. Results : Regardless of the definition for operational needs, the prevalent needs of survey respondents were not met with the current provision of claim data. Greater research capacity was shown to be correlated with increased demand for claim data along with a positive correlation between attempts to obtain claim datasets and research capacity. A greater research capacity, however, was not necessarily correlated with better accessibility to the claim data. Conclusions : The substantial unmet need for claim data among the healthcare policy research community calls for establishing proactive institutions which could systematically prepare and make available public datasets and provide call-in services to facilitate proper handling of data.
this study has dual purposes; one is to develope a new theoretical framework in consumer behavior area by applying the human ecological approach, and the other is to test the theory empirically area by applying the human ecological approach, and the other is to test the theory empirically by examining prepurchasing behavior of housing. Research methods adopted in this study are library search and survey research with self-administered questionnaires. The statistical methods used in the survey research are factor analysis, chi square test, and multivariate analysis with crosstablulations. According to the human ecological approach, ecological environments are important sources of consumer needs which , in turn, are satisfied by purchasing behavior in the market. Within this theoretical framework, consumers con improve the quality to life by perceving clearly what their needs are thereby making the most possible efficient purchasing decision making. The major findings of the empirical research on the basis of the theoretical framework are as follows; 1) Housing needs significantly vary with different ecological environment. 2) consumer information search behavior does not differ significantly by housing needs. 3) Housing needs turn out to be an intervening variable between ecological environments and consumer information search behavior. the results of this study show that the human ecological approach is useful in consumer behavior studies. The empirical result that consumer needs are not significantly satisfied by consumer behavior suggests a now direction in consumer education.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the educational needs for practicing neonatal intensive care among Korean nursing students. Methods: An explorative, sequential, mixed-methods design was used. Qualitative content analysis was conducted of in-depth interviews of six nursing students, five clinical practice faculty members, and five nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit. The results of a survey of 174 nursing students were analyzed quantitatively. Results: Nursing students, clinical practice faculty members, and nurses wanted opportunities for direct nursing practice and education in school during neonatal intensive care practice. In terms of specific educational content, nursing students expressed the highest observation-related educational needs for communication with medical team members, and they expressed the highest practice-related educational needs for operating medical equipment used for neonatal intensive care. The nursing students' needs with regard to the method of practice education were highest for orientation from the head nurses. Conclusion: Communication and operating medical equipment were found to be areas with high educational needs for practicing neonatal intensive care among Korean nursing students. Further research is needed to develop an educational framework and setting for practicing neonatal intensive care that would meet their needs.
