  • Typical activity-based travel analysis has been focused on passenger travel using household survey data. The current research focuses on freight transport using one-day travel survey data. Passenger travel can be seen as the outcome of traveller's subjective decision-making, whereas freight transport is the outcome of shipper or transport company's optimized scheduling. The research conducts an activity-based analysis of freight-vehicle trip chains. In particular, the research focuses on the difference in travel pattern between shipper-oriented private vehicle and transport company-oriented business vehicle. The research analyzed the travel diary of freight vehicles collected as part of the third national logistic survey in 2005. The diary is freight driver's one-day travel record including the information of loading capacity, item transported, destination, arrival time, etc. The analysis results show the difference between private and business vehicles in the travel pattern regarding the sequences of destination, destination type and item transported and the multi-dimensional information of the three sequences.

A case in point is the world's third largest U.S. major grain trader, Gavilon, merged with general trading company Marubeni in 2012. What are Japan's strategies and their implications? Research design, data, and methodology - The study analyzed Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries data, and data from daily and weekly papers. The paper employed various data and research methodologies. Results - The Lee Myeong-Bak government tried for three years to create a company similar to Cargill, but the project eventually failed. • When existing trade creates a product, a series of processes is terminated when a seller or a buyer subscribes for transportation insurance and is guided through customs procedures according to the terms of the sales contract and then receives payment for it. Training practical Trade kowhow is also educated focusing on the procedures of these contracts. A new paradigm of the fourth industrial revolution was launched in the development of information communication technology and computer technology. Also, due to the Xinhuo tradeism triggered by the United States, the risk of commodity trading is further increasing. Currently, trade practical education of university and industry is carried out for most lecture and discussion. Since 2014, the curriculumof the department of trade has been increasingly managed by the NCS process. The curriculumof the department of trade department has the advantage of being managed in consideration of the characteristics of the company that wishes to find employment and the level of work content. Standardized, the curriculumcan faithfully reflect the characteristics of the company and the level of the work content. In the new era, a new educational method that reflects the trend of the 4th industrial revolution era is necessary. In this research, we propose that service trade practical education should be educated mainly on contracts, not on procedural basis as with traditional commodity trade education.

  • Privatisation has emerged within the past few decades as one of the most significant challenges to public ports and their governments throughout the world. More than forty countries have committed to some form of port privatisation thus far and they will quite likely be joined by dozens more by the turn of the century. A decision to privatise ports can be driven by a variety of forces. The most obvious is to relieve a financially strapped government by turning to the private sector for an infusion of capital required to modernise and sustain port operations, or to bolster the national treasury. Inefficient and costly port operations can seriously impair the competitiveness of a nation’s export industries and artificially raise the cost and thus constrain the availability of imported goods. Privatisation in certain circumstances therefore holds the promise of stimulating economic growth particularly for those whose livelihood depends directly upon port activity and trade. The main objective of this paper is first of all, to introduce a variety of methods of port privatisation after reviewing the reason why port facilities should be privatised. This paper also aims to make some proposals with which a port privatisation process in Korea can be improved after summarising the present Terminal Operating Company(TOC) system propelled by Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
