A Study on the design of Database for photograph of Road Facilities (도로시설물 관리를 위한 Photo Database 설계에 관한 연구)

  • For effective management of information about establishment and repair of road and road facilities, we built GPS-Van mapping system that CCD Cameras, GPS receivers and INS are integrated and using it surveyed test area. Suggested a scheme that possible put acquired data into photo database systematically. Prototype of road facilities management system using the database shows us that extraction of qualitative information and management are possible through relation attribute information. And it raise cognitive faculty of user about objects using field photographs.

Reliabilty of a System with Standbys and Spares

  • This paper investigates the reliability characteristics of a system consisting of a unit operating on-line and backed by n spares among which m units are kept "warm" as standbys ready to go on-line. The on-line unit has an arbitrary lifetime distribution, while the warm standbys have exponential failure time distributions. The Failed units are repaired and brought back to service. The cold spares do not fail while in storage. Solution of this extremely complicated queuing problem using a "renewal counting" approach is presented and extended to the situation where the warming-up takes non-negligible time. Finally, an approach to the economic system management is discussed, considering the long-run availability, cost of keeping spares and repair facility, and the associated cost of restarting the system, after a system failure. The model presented in this paper will have many applications including the determination of the spares inventory and the number of field spares to be "carried".

  • This article concerns the problem of determining the optimal spare inventory level for multiechelon repairable-item inventory system. The system we are concerned has several bases and a central depot. When an item fails, it is dispatched to a repair facility and, a spare, if available, is plugged in immediately. When the failed item is repaired, it is sent to the base and either used to fill a backorder or stored at a spare inventory point. We develop an optimal algorithm to find the spare inventory level at each base spareswhich minimizes the total expected cost and, simultaneously, satisfies a specified minimum service rate. The algorithm is applied to examples with good results.

  • This paper studies an economic manufacturing quantity (EMQ) model with two types of failures and planned preventive maintenance of the production facility. One is a type I (major) failure which should be corrected by a failure maintenance and the other is a type H (minor) failure which can be minimally repaired without interrupting the production run. The objective is to determine the lot size and preventive replacement policy minimizing the long-run expected cost per unit time. We consider a control policy with a constant production lot size and preventive maintenance after completing n production runs. It is assumed that both preventive and failure maintenance times are random and the demand arriving during a stock-out period is lost. An expression for the expected cost per unit time is obtained in the general case. A special case is discussed and numerical results are provided.

  • It is important to build new irrigation facilities as a countermeasure against new water demand, however the effective use of existing facilities is rather advantageous economi cally and socially.Since many irrigation facilities were constructed before 1960's, the functions of them have been declined and rehabilitation of deteriorated facilities needs great expenses. To operate the irrigation facilities efficiently, the criteria for the maintenance and repair of irrigation facilities should be established according to the importance of structures. for the reasonable evaluation of the irrigation facilities, the Irrigation Facility Inquiry System(IFIS) was developed. The present status of the irrigation facilities are grouped by the type and scale of structures, and the characteristics of irrigation facilities under control of Farmland Improvement Association(FIA) were analysed.

  • This paper concerns the problem of determining the spare inventory level for multi-echelon repairable-item inventory system with finite number of operating items. We consider the system which has several bases and a central depot. When an item fails, it is dispatched to a repair facility and, a spare, if available, is plugged in immediately. When the failed item is repaired, it is sent to the base and either is used to fill a backorder or is stored at a spare inventory point. Using queueing network, we develop an algorithm to find the spare inventory level which minimizes the total expected cost and, simultaneously, satisfies a specified minimum fill rate. The results of the algorithm clearly indicate that the algorithm successfully generate output with optimal solution.

The already informed theories or interval determination methodology for the patrol inspection. repair. and overhaul inspection are difficult for adopting because or the several restriction problems in applying the maintenance schemes as the theory So, the model for determining the optimizing exchange interval or part, maintenance interval of auxiliary machine, unit equipment etc. was presented to apply in the maintenance easily and appropriately.

  • In this study, medium capacity EHP and GHP for air-conditioning a building with a floor area of $1,200\;m^2$ are compared economically. To consider all the factors of initial and operation costs effectively, an annual equal payment method is proposed. For the initial cost, equipment, construction, installation, electric facility, financial subsidy and tax cut are considered. Basic electricity, energy(electricity and gas), space charge, labor, insurance and repair are considered for the operation cost. Under the assumptions made in this study, overall cost of EHP is less than that of GHP. However, different outcome may result if different assumptions are made. This study is useful for performing an economic evaluation of various air-conditioning systems.

  • Most of the irrgation structures are shortage of feasible facility management. The surveyed data to irrigation structures related to maintenance record were built and interface program between GIS and database were developed . It was conducted to develope a system for safe appraisal and repair works on agricultural irrigation structures. The system assisting onsite field investigation and determining the typical rehabilitation method of typical agricultural structural problems such as fractures and cracks of members was developed.

  • AS City traffic means, the electric railway of the role is overwhelming with recognizing good merits of safety, no environment disruption and accurate destination time. Currently, Korea subway are running about 290km through eight subway lines. The latest constructed subway had been made by imperoved matherials which is going on improving. Therefore, we researched this project to keep up facilites easily, repress a leakge current and reduse install cost and repair time in changing facility at overhead Contact wire system because of arc by reforming construction plan about Expansion Joint and Air Section which is regarded as weak point when facilities are fixed and maintianed of Rigid Trolley bar System. as above we can contribute various part to making useful O.C.S(overhead contact wire system)
