소프트웨어 기반의 개방형 제어기에 대한 이해와 개발 (Understanding and Development of Software-based Open Architecture Controller)

  • Open architecture controller (OAC) is well known technology in factory automation. To better understand the requirements of OAC, authors have discussed the OAC related topics with a number of control experts who represents different segments of the machining industry. There is no common concept that is accepted or used, however, the common ideas for OAC is the control system that is hardware independent, interchangeable, and easily scalable. This paper presents summary of the understaning and requirements of OAC. Based on the requirements of OAC, authors developed the software based PC-CNC. The main focus of the PC-CNC was on the user customization capability and open interface between control networks in manufacturing system. This paper introduces the developed PC-CNC briefly. In addition to introduction of the PC-CNC, to fill the gap between end users and vendors of OAC, this paper presents two applications using OAC. One is a remote monitoring system. The OPC (Ole for Process Control) standard interface was used to monitor the status of open architecture CNC across network. The other is the remote production management module for machine tools using standard database interface.

  • In this paper, we present a remote control strategy for vehicles moving in an intelligent Vehicle Highway System(IVHS). We study a method for optimal off-line scheduling of a limited communication channel that is used for lead vehicle control in a platoon. The deviated distance from the desired trajectory is used for defining a cost functional that measures the performance of the system with communication constraints in relation to the desired system without communication constraints. The optimal communication sequence is obtained by simulations.

  • The research for development of remote monitoring and control systems composed three stages of research categories. At the first stage, we decided the suitable instrumentation devices for interface between H/W systems and waste water treatment facility. And at the second stage, we developed the software package for remote monitoring and data transmission system including data receipt system via wired telephone line. At the final stage we developed local control system for auto-process control of waste water treatment facilities. 유압밸브의 원격제어를 위한 Backcap 시스템 설계 연구 (Ddsign of a backcap system for remote control of hydraulic valves)

  • Backcap is an electric remote control system for the operation of directional flow control valves. This paper presents a new type of basckcap system which is characterized by its simple construction. The backcap is essentially a hydraulic cylinder of which the piston is connected to a spool of hydraulic valve and controlled by input current. An inherent feedback is imposed on its mechanism so that no artificial noe is needed. Characteristics of the backcap is verified by stability analysis, transient motion and steady state positioning for step inputs. Design parameter analyses have been executer by some analytical approaches and computer simulations, which lead to their optimal valves. These results contributed to an effective new backcap system and its design strategy.

중성자, 감마선, 엑스선 방사선 측정 및 통합 제어 시스템 개발 (Development of Neutron, Gamma ray, X-ray Radiation Measurement and Integrated Control System)

  • 본 논문에서는 중성자, 감마선, 엑스선 등의 방사선을 측정하는 통합 제어 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 원격 또는 네트워크상으로 측정 및 분석한 데이터를 디스플레이를 통해 모니터링 및 제어할 수 있는 장비로서, 현장에 가지 않고도 시스템 각 구성 부분의 상태를 보고 변경하여 원격으로 감시 및 관리할 수 있다. 제안하는 시스템은 감마선/엑스선 센서부, 중성자 센서부, 주제어 임베디드 시스템부, 전용 디스플레이 장치 및 GUI부, 원격 UI부 등으로 구성된다. 감마선/엑스선 센서부는 NaI(Tl) Scintillation Detector를 사용하여 저준위의 감마선 및 엑스선을 측정한다. 중성자 센서부는 Proportional Counter Detector(저준위 중성자)와 Ion Chamber Type Detector(고준위 중성자)를 사용하여 중성자를 측정한다. 주제어 임베디드 시스템부는 방사선을 검출하여 초단위로 샘플링하고 누적된 펄스 및 전류값에 대한 방사선량으로 변환한다. 전용 디스플레이 장치 및 GUI부는 방사선 측정 결과와 변환된 방사선량 및 방사능량 측정 수치를 출력하고, 사용자에게 제어 조건 설정 및 검출부에 대한 캘리브레이션 기능을 제공한다. 원격 UI부는 측정된 값들을 취합, 저장하여 원격 감시 시스템에 전달한다. 제안된 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 공인시험기관에서 실험한 결과는 중성자 검출부는 ${\pm}8.2%$ 이하의 측정 불확도가 측정되었고, 감마선, 엑스선 검출부는 7.5%이하의 불확도가 측정되어 국제 표준인 ${\pm}15%$ 이하에서 정상동작 됨이 확인되었다.

Java를 이용한 웹 기반 원격 감시제어시스템 개발 (A Development of Web-based Remote monitoring and control system using Java)

  • 본 논문은 Java 기술을 이용하여 TCP/IP 상에서 웹 기반의 원격 감시제어시스템 개발에 대한 예를 제시하였다. Java의 Socket 클래스를 이용한 클라이언트/서버 소켓 프로그램을 구현하였고 이를 레고 블록으로 만든 온실 모델에 적용하여 웹 기반 온실 감시제어시스템을 구축하였다. 구축된 웹 기반 온실 감시제어시스템은 온실의 정보를 클라이언트 프로그램에 잘 전달하여 표시하며 웹 상에서 동작하는 Java Applet 클라이언트에서 보내는 제어 신호를 서버를 통해 온실 모델에 잘 전달하여 동작시키는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

고속 전력선 통신을 이용한 섬유기계 원격제어 시스템 (Remote Control System for Textile Machinery using High Speed Power Line Communication)

  • This paper describes the high speed PLC-based remote control system that can monitor and control textile machineries bi-directionally through Internet. There are many textile machineries without network functions in the factory. We apply the PLC technology in order to give a network function to them in which the existing electric power line is used with network communication lines without separate wiring constructions. In order to realize this system, we have implemented a protocol for network communication of system, high-speed PLC modules, and Ethernet-to-UART modules. Finally we confirmed the effectiveness of system by applying actual test environments.

  • Most of maritime metallic structures are adopted a CP(Cathodic Protection) System for protection of corrosion in advanced country. So, we had been developed a remote corrosion monitoring control system. And we want to know the characteristics of efficiency, reliability, durability and so on. On the view point of it, we have to test in real field. in terms of design, cathodic protection systems, corrosion monitoring systems and optimal corrosion control systems compare to general commercial products. So, these systems have being studied to improve their capability. In this paper, the result of field testing center design of intelligent cathodic protection system including anodes, a real-time wireless remote corrosion monitoring and corrosion control system are described in naval ports.

Remote structural health monitoring systems for next generation SCADA

  • Recent advances in low-cost remote monitoring systems have made it possible and practical to perform structural health monitoring (SHM) on a large scale. However, it is difficult for a single remote monitoring system to cover a wide range of SHM applications due to the amount of specialization required. For the remote monitoring system to be flexible, sustainable, and robust, this article introduces a new cost-effective, advanced remote monitoring and inspection system named DuraMote that can serve as a next generation supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for civil infrastructure systems. To evaluate the performance of DuraMote, we conduct experiments at two representative counterpart sites: a bridge and water pipelines. The objectives of this article are to improve upon the existing SCADA by integrating the remote monitoring system (i.e., DuraMote), to describe a prototype SCADA for civil engineering structures, and to validate its effectiveness with long-term field deployment results.

  • 선박 추진제어플랫폼은 안전한 항해를 위한 추진기관으로 사용되는 선박주기엔진의 원격운전 및 제어를 담당하는 시스템이다. 본 시스템은 안전하고 신뢰성 있는 운항을 보장하는 시스템이며, 원격제어 기술이 요구되는 시스템이다. 본 연구에서는 해당 시스템의 국산화를 위한 연구의 일환으로서 선박 추진제어시스템의 속도전달장치의 구현에 대해 연구하며, 시스템 분석과 설계 및 구현을 통해 해당 분야의 노하우와 원천기술을 확보하고 추후 추진 제어플랫폼의 통합화를 위한 기반기술을 확보하고자 한다.
