LonWorks를 이용한 액체헬륨 제조장치의 원격감시 및 제어 (Remote Monitoring and Control of Helium Liquefier Using LonWorks Network System)

  • This paper presents a realization of LonWorks communication based remote monitoring and control system for old-dated Helium Liquefier to be automated in operation and data acquisition. Through Inn nodes, tank level, valve position, gasbag level and temperatures are collected and valve position is adjusted by step motor control. Also, field data acquired can be monitored at a remote site through LAN.

Development of an Autonomous Navigation System for Unmanned Ground Vehicle

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) and also estimates how well autonomous navigation and remote control of UGV can be performed through the optimized arbitration of several sensor data, which are acquired from vision, obstacle detection, positioning system, etc. For the autonomous navigation, lane detection and tracing, global positioning, and obstacle avoidance are necessarily required. In addition, for the remote control, two types of experimental environments are established. One is to use a commercial racing wheel module, and the other is to use a haptic device that is useful for a user application based on virtual reality. Experimental results show that autonomous navigation and remote control of the designed UGV can be achieved with more effectiveness and accuracy using the proper arbitration of sensor data and navigation plan.

  • These days, a study on 'Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV)' has made very active progress in many countries. Even if it is being expected that there will be a great demand of USV for wide field, such as military operation, private sector, and etc., the study of USV in Korea is still at an early stage. For this reason, we have made a very small USV which is composed of dual mode (autonomous and remote control). The TCP/IP communication is applied to the USV.

  • In this paper, we propose the system that can monitor and control the camera in the remote place using the PDA. The server PC attached to the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) acquires the current status (On/Off) of the devices through the RS-232 serial communications. Also, the moving image frames captured from the wireless camera is compressed in the JPEG format and is stored in the server. The PDA, which is connected to the server through wireless internet, receives the data about the status of the devices and controls the devices according to the circumstances of them. Also, it can receive the images from the server simultaneously. So, we ran monitor and control the specified area in the remote place using the PDA through the wireless communication.

  • 최근 스마트폰의 발달로 우리의 생활은 더욱 편리해 졌으며, 이를 이용하려는 이용자 역시 급격하게 증가하였다. 이에 다양한 어플리케이션들이 출시되고 있지만, 스마트폰에 내장된 기능들로는 한계점이 있어, 모바일 단말기와 액세서리를 결합한 앱세서리가 주목받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 블루투스 통신을 이용한 리모트 컨트롤 앱세서리를 설계 및 구현하고, 이를 전동차 시스템에 적용시켜 모바일 단말기와 시스템 하드웨어의 강인성이나 사용의 편리성에대해 검증을 하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 인터넷을 이용한 원격지 공정관리 시스템을 개발하는데 있어서 유지보수가 용이하고, 기능의 추가가 쉽도록 자바 언어와 GoF 디자인 패턴을 이용한 설계기법을 보인다. 시스템의 구현을 위해 현재 운전되고 있는 설비들의 상태를 파악할 수 있도록 설비 제어 박스에 있는 PLC에 RS232C와 RS422/RS485 통신모듈을 추가하였고, PLC를 통하여 제어되고 있는 정보를 송수신하기 위해 RS232C 통신을 Ethernet으로 변환시켜주는 변환기를 설치하였다. 다계층으로 구성된 시스템을 구현하기 위해 Swing 컴포넌트를 사용하였으며, Applet과 Frame GUI를 동시에 지원하여, 관리자가 인터넷을 통하여 원격지의 작업공정 진도를 쉽게 파악할 수 있도록 하였다. 다계층 구조의 주요 목적은 클라이언트들 간의 자원을 공유하는 것이다. 제안된 시스템은 원격지에서 설비를 제어하기 위한 소프트웨어를 제작하는데 도움을 줄 수 있고, 이와 비슷한 소프트웨어를 제작하려는 개발자에게 기존 코드를 쉽게 재사용하여, 새로운 기능을 쉽게 추가할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

  • Driverless Train Control System has been recently introduced and commercialized in Korea. It is expected that the vehicle with driverless operation system will be used in new lines such as Sinbundang line soon. Therefore it is necessary to change the system operation and conception of the existing train operation system and the necessity of driverless vehicle monitoring system meeting a new paradigm is rising. In order to dispel concerning about safety issues caused by driverless train operation, the importance to establish vehicle error detection, useful fault diagnosis and rapid action plans is higher than ever. For this, efficient and higher level of vehicle supervision & control system should be essentially supported. In this study, remote driverless vehicle monitoring system using by radio communication is suggested to be used for monitoring and controlling important parts of the vehicle and diagnose and take quick actions when vehicles are in trouble at control tower at real time.
