광회선 다중화장치 원격감시시스템 구축 (Construction of the remote monitoring system for MX-13 digital multiplexer)

  • The MX-13 digital multiplexer for leased line is one of the main facilities, so it is periodically monitored by the operator. Operators connect dummy terminal to the MX-13 digital multiplexer manually, and execute preventing inspection. When alarms occurred, they are manually checked by the operator. But, in order to get mere efficiency of accident prevention and monitoring facilities with rapid response to the accident symptom, and to get higher reliability from the companies who lease communication lines, we need to construct this system which is adequate to monitor IvlX-13 digital multiplexer in almost real time. We construct remote monitoring system for MX-13 digital multiplxer to meet those requirement. After constructing the system, it's possible that the local operator can manage local monitoring system to check the status of MX-13 digital multiplexers. Also, Center operator can monitor the facility which has problems, and located in the specific local areas with the use of Center monitoring system.

Line Based Transformation Model (LBTM) for high-resolution satellite imagery rectification

  • Traditional photogrammetry and satellite image rectification technique have been developed based on control-points for many decades. These techniques are driven from linked points in image space and the corresponding points in the object space in rigorous colinearity or coplanarity conditions. Recently, digital imagery facilitates the opportunity to use features as well as points for images rectification. These implementations were mainly based on rigorous models that incorporated geometric constraints into the bundle adjustment and could not be applied to the new high-resolution satellite imagery (HRSI) due to the absence of sensor calibration and satellite orbit information. This research is an attempt to establish a new Line Based Transformation Model (LBTM), which is based on linear features only or linear features with a number of ground control points instead of the traditional models that only use Ground Control Points (GCPs) for satellite imagery rectification. The new model does not require any further information about the sensor model or satellite ephemeris data. Synthetic as well as real data have been demonestrated to check the validity and fidelity of the new approach and the results showed that the LBTM can be used efficiently for rectifying HRSI.

  • Recently, with the advancement of internet network the system has been needed to be controllable and observable through internet at industrial workplace. In this study, we developed the digital timer which has a communication function to control and observe many kinds of devices by combining relay and timer used for each type of control panel to realize control solution based on internet to be easily applicable at workplace with low cost and adding 485 serial communication module to have parallel expansibility and safety. And, this system was experimented and designed for easy system management and status check from remote station through internet, appling the developed digital timer to parallel sequence control of motor. As the result of experiment, the circuit configuration would be more simplified than the existing, and it is expected that multi-connection control and monitoring can be simply implemented with low cost equipment at industrial workplace.

  • The shoes process management monitoring system for supporting SCM is developed in this study. This system consists of a monitoring program, a conveyer system, a pneumatic unit, a controller, an USB camera, and a server and a client computer. To operate the developed system easily, the monitoring program using LabVIEW in the Windows environment is developed. This program consists of 5 modules: production management, inventory control, media management, defective management, and communication management. The developed system has several advantages: reduced time for managing process work, decreased labor costs, effective operation, and continuous work without an operator. Nowadays advanced manufacturing companies are trying to find a way to check the performance of their production equipments and plants from remote sites. Thus, to manage the developed system from remote sites, communication network is constructed. In order to evaluate the performance of the monitoring system, experiments were performed. The experimental results showed that the developed system provided a reliable performance and a stable communication.

Comparison the Mapping Accuracy of Construction Sites Using UAVs with Low-Cost Cameras

  • The advent of a fourth industrial revolution, built on advances in digital technology, has coincided with studies using various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) being performed worldwide. However, the accuracy of different sensors and their suitability for particular research studies are factors that need to be carefully evaluated. In this study, we evaluated UAV photogrammetry using smart technology. To assess the performance of digital photogrammetry, the accuracy of common procedures for generating orthomosaic images and digital surface models (DSMs) using terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) techniques was measured. Two different type of non-surveying camera(Smartphone camera, fisheye camera) were attached to UAV platform. For fisheye camera, lens distortion was corrected by considering characteristics of lens. Accuracy of orthoimage and DSM generated were comparatively analyzed using aerial and TLS data. Accuracy comparison analysis proceeded as follows. First, we used Ortho mosaic image to compare the check point with a certain area. In addition, vertical errors of camera DSM were compared and analyzed based on TLS. In this study, we propose and evaluate the feasibility of UAV photogrammetry which can acquire 3 - D spatial information at low cost in a construction site.

비대면 공학교육에서 공개 및 실명 여부에 따른 학습자 질문 방식의 전략과 효과에 관한 연구 (Strategies and Effects of Questioning Methods Based on Anonymity/Openness in Remote Engineering Education)

  • Students' questions are essential and important for learning, but previous research and experience of instructors shows that there is a lack of interaction between instructors and students in online classes. This research studies how learners can effectively ask questions in online classes at engineering colleges. Based on two axes of anonymity and openness, the four different types of questioning methods were suggested as 'onymous/public', 'onymous/private', 'anonymous/public' and 'anonymous/private.' In this study, seven communication channels were applied to check their effectiveness in an online class. The results showed that learners' satisfaction with learning outcomes increased compared to previous offline classes, while satisfaction with teaching methods was similar. Additionally, among the four types of questioning methods, the preference and effectiveness of 'anonymous/public' was highest, followed by 'onymous/private'. This study suggests several implications of educational approaches to online education in engineering colleges.

SHAP 기반 NSL-KDD 네트워크 공격 분류의 주요 변수 분석 (Analyzing Key Variables in Network Attack Classification on NSL-KDD Dataset using SHAP)

  • Purpose: The central aim of this study is to leverage machine learning techniques for the classification of Intrusion Detection System (IDS) data, with a specific focus on identifying the variables responsible for enhancing overall performance. Method: First, we classified 'R2L(Remote to Local)' and 'U2R (User to Root)' attacks in the NSL-KDD dataset, which are difficult to detect due to class imbalance, using seven machine learning models, including Logistic Regression (LR) and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN). Next, we use the SHapley Additive exPlanation (SHAP) for two classification models that showed high performance, Random Forest (RF) and Light Gradient-Boosting Machine (LGBM), to check the importance of variables that affect classification for each model. Result: In the case of RF, the 'service' variable and in the case of LGBM, the 'dst_host_srv_count' variable were confirmed to be the most important variables. These pivotal variables serve as key factors capable of enhancing performance in the context of classification for each respective model. Conclusion: In conclusion, this paper successfully identifies the optimal models, RF and LGBM, for classifying 'R2L' and 'U2R' attacks, while elucidating the crucial variables associated with each selected model.

원격제어 이동로봇의 장애물 회피를 위한 퍼지 제어 (Fuzzy Control for the Obstacle Avoidance of Remote Control Mobile Robot)

  • 원격제어 이동로봇은 임의의 사용자가 조이스틱과 같은 장치를 이용하여 조작함으로서 사용자가 직접 나서지 않고 간접적으로 주어진 업무를 수행하는 로봇을 말한다. 이러한 원격제어 이동로봇은 기본적으로 사용자에게 보다 많은 정보를 제공하기 위하여 영상정보를 이용하며, 사용자는 로봇으로부터 전송되는 영상정보를 눈으로 보고 판단하여 로봇에게 명령을 전달하는 형태로 이루어져 있다. 이러한 원격제어 이동로봇의 단점은 통신시스템에서 발생하는 통신지연과 영상정보에서 발생하는 사각지대로 인하여 사용자가 보지 못하는 장애물과의 충돌 가능성이 존재한다는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 위와 같은 문제를 해결하고자 원격제어 이동로봇에 퍼지 제어를 적용하여 사용자의 명령에 추종하면서 실시간으로 장애물 회피가 가능한 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 여기서 제안한 퍼지 제어기의 성능 평가 및 적용 가능성을 확인하기 위하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 이용하여, 장애물 회피와 경로 추종, 추종 경로위에 장애물이 존재할 때 이동로봇의 장애물 회피에 관한 모의실험을 통하여 퍼지 제어기의 적용 가능성을 보였으며, 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

마을 공동 우물용 지하수 정수 장치의 원격 모니터링 시스템 개발 (Development of Remote Monitoring System for groundwater purifier apparatus for community wells)

  • 최근 지하수의 오염이 심각해지고 있다. 특히 축산농가 근처의 지하수 오염은 더욱 심해지고 있으며, 음용수로 마시기 어렵다. 그러나 일부 지역에서는 오염된 것을 알면서도 마시고 있다. 본 논문에서는 마을 공동우물에 설치할 수 있는 지하수 정수 장치를 설계 하였다. 설계된 지하수 정수 장치는 RO 멤브레인 필터를 사용하고, UV 살균을 통해 중금속, 박테리아, 유기화합물 등의 오염물질을 제거할 수 있게 하였다. 또한 원격 모니터링을 위해 전기 전도도, 압력, 유량 등의 센서를 부가하였다. 원격으로 모니터링하는 압력 및 유량 데이터로 RO 멤브레인 필터의 파울링 및 오염의 여부를 판단할 수 있으며, 급수의 전기전도도를 통해 유입되는 지하수의 오염 및 상태의 변동을 파악할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 설계된 지하수 정수 장치를 시골 농가에 설치하여 원격 모니터링 하였다. 15일간 지하수 정수 장치를 운영하고 모니터링 데이터를 분석한 결과, 생산수 유량은 평균 2.67L/min이고 급수의 압력 평균 7.09kgf/㎠로 RO 멤브레인 필터가 파울링 및 막힘없이 필터링되고 있음을 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 평균 전기전도도는 급수 796.6 uS/㎠이고 생산수 55.6uS/㎠로 일반적인 수돗물과 유사한 값을 나타내고 있어 주변에 오염원이 발생하지 않았음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 따라서 설계된 지하수 정수 장치는 원격 모니터링을 통해 필터의 교체 시점을 미리 확인할 수 있고, 지하수의 오염 여부에 대한 상태 확인이 가능하다.

ACCURACY ASSESSMENT BY REFINING THE RATIONAL POLYNOMIALS COEFFICIENTS(RPCs) OF IKONOS IMAGERY

  • IKONOS 1m satellite imagery is particularly well suited for 3-D feature extraction and 1 :5,000 scale topographic mapping. Because the image line and sample calculated by given RPCs have the error of more than 11m, in order to be able to perform feature extraction and topographic mapping, rational polynomial coefficients(RPCs) camera model that are derived from the very complex IKONOS sensor model to describe the object-image geometry must be refined by several Ground Control Points(GCPs). This paper presents a quantitative evaluation of the geometric accuracy that can be achieved with IKONOS imagery by refining the offset and scaling factors of RPCs using several GCPs. If only two GCPs are available, the offsets and scale factors of image line and sample are updated. If we have more than three GCPs, four parameters of the offsets and scale factors of image line and sample are refined first, and then six parameters of the offsets and scale factors of latitude, longitude and height are updated. The stereo images acquired by IKONOS satellite are tested using six ground points. First, the RPCs model was refined using 2 GCPs and 4 check points acquired by GPS. The results from IKONOS stereo images are reported and these show that the RMSE of check point acquired from left images and right are 1.021m and 1.447m. And then we update the RPCs model using 4 GCPs and 2 check points. The RMSE of geometric accuracy is 0.621 m in left image and 0.816m in right image.
