Analysis Method for Integrating Components of Product (제품의 구성 부품들을 통합시키기 위한 분석 방법)

  • This paper presents some of the methods used to incorporate the parts constituting a product. A new relation function concept and its structure are introduced to analyze the relationships of component parts. This relation function has three types of information, which can be used to establish a relation function structure. The relation function structure of the analysis criteria was established to analyze and present the data. The priority components determined by the analysis criteria can be integrated. The analysis criteria were divided based on their number and orientation, as well as their direct or indirect characteristic feature. This paper presents a design algorithm for component integration. This algorithm was applied to actual products, and the components inside the product were integrated. Therefore, the proposed algorithm was used to conduct research to improve the brake discs for bicycles. As a result, an improved product similar to the related function structure was actually created.

Didactical Approach on Topology -Centered on convergence and continuity- (위상에 대한 교수학적 접근 -수렴성과 연속성을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to show that the topology is closely related to some subjects learned in school mathematics and then to give motivations for learning of the topology. To do this, it is showed that the topology is an abstracted device that deal with structure of limit and continuity introduced in school mathematics. This study took a literature study. The results of this study are as follows. First, the formal definition of general topology to structure open sets was examined. The nearness relation together with the closure operation was introduced and used to characterize for construction of general topology. Second, as definitions for continuity of function, we considered the intuitive definition, definition, structured definitions using open intervals and definition using open sets and then we investigated their roles. We also examined equivalent definition using the nearness relation which is helpful to understand continuity of function. Third, the sequence and its limit are treated in terms of continuous functions having the set of natural numbers and its extended set as domains. From these, it can be concluded that the convergence of sequence and the continuity of function are identified as functions that preserve the nearness relation and that the topology is a specialized tool for dealing with convergence and continuity.

Stable activation-based regression with localizing property

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive regression method based on the single-layer neural network structure. We adopt a symmetric activation function as units of the structure. The activation function has a flexibility of its form with a parametrization and has a localizing property that is useful to improve the quality of estimation. In order to provide a spatially adaptive estimator, we regularize coefficients of the activation functions via ℓ1-penalization, through which the activation functions to be regarded as unnecessary are removed. In implementation, an efficient coordinate descent algorithm is applied for the proposed estimator. To obtain the stable results of estimation, we present an initialization scheme suited for our structure. Model selection procedure based on the Akaike information criterion is described. The simulation results show that the proposed estimator performs favorably in relation to existing methods and recovers the local structure of the underlying function based on the sample.

A Study on the Knowledge Organizing System of Research Papers Based on Semantic Relation of the Knowledge Structure (연구문헌의 지식구조를 반영하는 의미기반의 지식조직체계에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest a pilot model of knowledge organizing system which reflects the knowledge structure of research papers, using a case analysis on the "Korean Research Memory" of the National Research Foundation of Korea. In this paper, knowledge structure of the research papers in humanities and social science is described and the function of the "Korean Research Memory" for scholarly sense-making is analysed. In order to suggest the pilot model of the knowledge organizing system, the study also analysed the relation between indexed keyword and knowledge structure of research papers in the Korean Research Memory. As a result, this paper suggests 24 axioms and 11 inference rules for an ontology based on semantic relation of the knowledge structure.

  • In this paper, we will find some recurrence relations of classical multiple OPS between the same family with different parameters using the generating functions, which are useful to find structure relations and their connection coefficients. In particular, the differential-difference equations of Jacobi-Pineiro polynomials and multiple Bessel polynomials are given.

An Improved Function Synthesis Algorithm Using Genetic Programming (유전적 프로그램을 이용한 함수 합성 알고리즘의 개선)

  • The method of function synthesis is essential when we control the systems not known their characteristic, by predicting the function to satisfy a relation between input and output from the given pairs of input-output data. In general the most systems operate non-linearly, it is easy to come about problem is composed with combinations of parameter, constant, condition, and so on. Genetic programming is proposed by one of function synthesis methods. This is a search method of function tree to satisfy a relation between input and output, with appling genetic operation to function tree to convert function into tree structure. In this paper, we indicate problems of a function synthesis method by an existing genetic programming propose four type of new improved method. In other words, there are control of function tree growth, selection of local search method for early convergence, effective elimination of redundancy in function tree, and utilization of problem characteristic of object, for preventing function from complicating when the function tree is searched. In case of this improved method, we confirmed to obtain superior structure to function synthesis method by an existing genetic programming in a short period of time by means of computer simulation for the two-spirals problem.

RBF Network Structure for Prediction of Non-linear, Non-stationary Time Series (비선형, 비정상 시계열 예측을 위한 RBF(Radial Basis Function) 회로망 구조)

  • In this paper, a modified RBF(Radial Basis Function) network structure is suggested for the prediction of a time-series with non-linear, non-stationary characteristics. Coventional RBF network predicting time series by using past outputs sense the trajectory of the time series and react when there exists strong relation between input and hidden activation function's RBF center. But this response is highly sensitive to level and trend of time serieses. In order to overcome such dependencies, hidden activation functions are modified to react to the increments of input variable and multiplied by increment(or dectement) for prediction. When the suggested structure is applied to prediction of Macyey-Glass chaotic time series, Lorenz equation, and Rossler equation, improved performances are obtained.

Fuzzy Relation-Based Fuzzy Neural-Networks Using a Hybrid Identification Algorithm

  • In this paper, we introduce an identification method in Fuzzy Relation-based Fuzzy Neural Networks (FRFNN) through a hybrid identification algorithm. The proposed FRFNN modeling implement system structure and parameter identification in the efficient form of "If...., then... " statements, and exploit the theory of system optimization and fuzzy rules. The FRFNN modeling and identification environment realizes parameter identification through a synergistic usage of genetic optimization and complex search method. The hybrid identification algorithm is carried out by combining both genetic optimization and the improved complex method in order to guarantee both global optimization and local convergence. An aggregate objective function with a weighting factor is introduced to achieve a sound balance between approximation and generalization of the model. The proposed model is experimented with using two nonlinear data. The obtained experimental results reveal that the proposed networks exhibit high accuracy and generalization capabilities in comparison to other models.er models.

  • The purpose of this study is, According to society changing fast, human life is changing in the direction of complexity and variety, the middle class and multiple structure have been generated in relation between architecture and function. Accordingly, considering the analyzed elements of the main floor space planning and relation of the factors in space planning of Seoul s public libraries. The Public Library is variety of function is abstracted to the plan for Space Composition Form from future public library, analysis of “This point of user, how to composition is the space of different function” and “How to is the connection between the educational function and the other function, complexity of space.” With above distinctive themes and the research, the typology of public library in seoul city, At the first, the research shows that the public library is 8 type, and high in typology of “TYPE 7 (A3-B2-Cl)”. Secondary, There appears public library, such as in the satisfaction of the One-Function-User is high in “TYPE 3 (A1-B2-C3)”, in the satisfaction over the Two-Function-User is high in “TYPE 6 (A3-B1-C1)”

  • Structure-borne noise is the interior noise that results from the low frequency vibrational energy transmitted through those body and joint parts. The relation between the excitation of powertrain and resultant interior sound must be analyzed in order to identify and predict the structure borne noise. The method of acoustic source excitation is preferred than the method of mechanical force excitation to measure the NTF(noise transfer function). Because acoustical method is more convenient and reliable. In this paper, to analysis and identify vehicle interior noise by powertrain is performed, and the vibro-acoustic transfer function is extracted from experimental measurement. These are important step of TPA(transfer path analysis) to identify effect of interior noise resulted from powertrain running excitation.
