Previous studies on user training have largely focused on assessing models which describe the determinants of information technology usage or examined the effects of training on user satisfaction, productivity, performance, and so on. Scant research efforts have been made, however, to examine those effects of training by using theoretical models. This study presented a conceptual models to predict intention to use information technology and conducted an experiment to understand how training for computer skill acquisition affects primary variables of the model. The data were obtained from 32 student subjects of an experimental group and 31 students of a control group, and the information technology employed for this study was a university electronic mail system. The study results revealed that attitude toward usage and perceived behavioral control helped to predict user intentions ;; outcome expectations were positively related to attitude toward usage ; and self-efficacy was positively related to perceived behavioral control. The hands-on training for the experimental group led to increases in perceived ease of use, self-efficacy and perceived behavioral control. The changes in those variables suggest more causal effects of user training than other survey studies.

The nation's birthrate has been rapidly falling. The purpose of this study was to explore the factors related to low birthrate, by analyzing TV dramas dealing with childbirth and rearing. Content analysis is well suited to research probing widespread cultural notions or behavior. If any part or all of the dramas discussed an aspect of childbirth and rearing, we recorded verbatim quotes and paraphrased some specific points. Using the technique of multiple observers, inter rater as well as intra rater reliabilities were measured. The results showed that emergent themes in TV dramas on low birthrate are social environment, family context, and value changes. The conclusions and implications of these findings are discussed.

The purpose of this study is to design simple BIM query language for visualizing BIM information as the viewpoint of use-cases by using open source viewer cost-effectively. recently, the studies related to the facility management using BIM are being researched world-widely. In this studies, it's important to develop the BIM query to obtain the needed data from BIM database. To implement it, the trends in related studies were reviewed and the open source-based BIM viewer architecture was analyzed. And then the architecture considering the simple BIM Query Language (sBQL) was designed to represent the geometry and property of the BIM database. Lastly, the system by using the proposed sBQL grammar was developed.

As the inventory costs of repairable items in military logistics continue to increase, many studies for optimal inventory level of these items are being carried out in advanced countries, including the US, to reduce these costs. Research on inventory level optimization for repairable items aimed to achieve the availability goal of a system with a MIME(Multi Indenture Multi Echelon) repair policy structure first began with Sherbrooke's METRIC and developed into various types. This research is to analyze and compare recent V-METRIC related studies to search for another variation in this field. This paper mainly looks at how to determine optimum inventory level for each repairable item to achieve a specific availability target within a limited budget, and also how to minimize inventory cost while achieving its availability target by determining optimal inventory level of each repairable item.

Objective : To research the trends of study related to osteoarthritis with acupuncture in PubMed, and to establish he hereafter direction of acupuncture for osteoarthritis. Methods : We searthed in PubMed, with osteoarthritis and acupuncture limited by abstract, human, English. Results : 1. The pattern of study was as follow: Review article(2), Clinical Trials(13), randomized controlled trials(13). bee venom acupuncture(1), electroacupuncture(1). We further estimated 15 articles. 2. The lesion of osteoarthritis & kinds of acupuncture were as follows: knee(12), hip(2), cervical vertebral(1), bee venom acupuncture(1), electroacupuncture(1). 3. Most clinical trials are related to decrease of pain, functional improvement. 4. 10 of clinical studies provide affirmative result. And they recommend acupuncture for osteoarthritis. 5. 4 of clinical studies provide negative result. And these studies are designed by sham acupuncture method.

This study explored the relationship between parental reaction to children's negative emotions, child's self-regulation and stress-coping behaviors. This study also examined the mediating effect of a child's self-regulation between parental reactions to children's negative emotions and a child's stress-coping behaviors. The sample included 407 elementary school 5th-6th grades and their parents (comprising 407 couples) in Seoul. The research results are summarized as follows. First, parental reactions to children's negative emotions were significantly related to the child's self-regulation and stress-coping behaviors. Secondly, it was also found that parental reactions to children's negative emotion were both partially and indirectly related to a child's stress-coping behaviors through the child's use of self-regulation.

Objectives : To review and summarize the existing evidence on acupuncture treatment for cancer and cancer related symptoms. Methods: Literature searches were made through domestic and international databases. Data were extracted according to pre-defined criteria. The methodological quality was assessed using the Modified Jadad scale. Results: Seven studies were included. Two of the studies were high in methodological quality. One study concerning acupuncture treatment for cancerous dyspnea reported insignificant differences between the treatment group and placebo group. The other study concerning auricular acupuncture for cancer related pain showed significant pain relief compared with the control group. All the other studies were non-blinded or uncontrolled trials. Conclusion : The hypothesis that acupuncture may be effective for the treatment of cancer is not supported by the data in recent clinical trials. More accurately designed randomized control trials (RCT) are needed.

Relationships between parents' home literacy attitudes in low-income families and children's emergent literacy were studied with 107 children 4- and 5-years of age and their parents. Instruments were Kim and Kwon's (2006) questionnaire about parents' literacy attitudes, the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test-Revised(Kim et al., 1995) and the Concepts About Print(CAP; Kim & Kim, 2004). Results showed that parents of younger children were positive about reading books; parents of older children were positive about reading instruction. More positive parental feelings about reading and higher frequencies of reading with the child were related to children's higher vocabulary scores. Children's CAP was positively related with amount of parents' reading instruction, home literacy resources, and number of child's books in the home.

If large pressure fluctuation is observed in the draft tube of a Francis turbine at part-load operation, we have generally called it draft-tube-surge. As occurrence of this phenomenon seriously affects the limit of turbine operating range, extensive studies on the surge have been made since proposal of surge-frequency criterion given by Rheingans. According to the literature survey of related topics in recent IAHR symposiums on hydraulic machinery and systems, in which state-of-the-art contributions were mainly presented, a certain review of them may be desirable for an outlook on the future studies in this research field. Thus, in this review paper, the authors' previous attempts for the last three decades to challenge the following topics: a rational method for component test of a draft tube, nature of spiral vortex rope and its behavior in a draft tube and cavitation characteristics of pressure fluctuations, are introduced together with other related contributions, expecting that more useful and significant studies will be accomplished in the future.

Pre-eclampsia is known to cause considerable maternal morbidity and mortality. Thus, many studies have examined the etiopathogenesis of pre-eclampsia. While many pathophysiological factors related to pre-eclampsia have been identified, the precise etiopathogenesis of pre-eclampsia remains unclear. Numerous studies have identified factors for the early prediction for pre-eclampsia to lead to preparation and closer observation on pre-eclampsia when it occurs. This article reviews on current studies of biomarkers and genetic factors related to pre-eclampsia, which may be important for developing strategies for early prediction of pre-eclampsia.
