과학기술인 복지 정책에 관한 이론적 고찰 - Soft Infra 구축을 중심으로 - (Theoretical Review on the Welfare Policy of Science & Technology Personnel)

  • Science & Technology (S&T) is the most important thing to attain competitiveness in the 21st century. Our traditional S&T policies have been focused on hardware infra structure. But, we should consider soft infra of S&T to enhance welfare development of S&T personnel. S&T should be had a correct understanding method of the creation for S&T culture. It implies that S&T policy in the 21st century should consider non-material factors which include social, human, environment and culture. Under this background. This paper defines the concept of welfare of S&T personnel. Also this paper deals with the change of S&T policy of Korea and analyzes the characteristic of each phase. This paper argues that all actors (for example S&T personnel, corporate using S&T, public) should participate in the process of S&T innovation since the 21st century is the generation of popularization of S&T. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a few methods of welfare improvement of S&T personnel to reinforce soft infra structure of S&T.

금은화(金銀花)가 Bleomycin에 의한 폐섬유화(肺纖維化)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Effects of Lonicerae Flos on bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis)

  • Objective : Idiopathic Lung Fibrosis(IPF) is chronic fibrotic interstitial pneumonia. The pathogenesis is unclear. Lonicerae Flos is known to prevent the inflammation and reinforce the immune system. The effects of Lonicerae Flos on bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis is evaluated. Material and Methods: Lonicerae Flos extract was given to the Normal rats, control(bleomycin) rats everyday and treated(bleomycin and lonicerae flos) rats 21.0 mg per body weight 109 for 14 days. 14 days after, we observed the change of leukocyte count and percentage of IFN-gamma and IL-4 in BALF. and that of Semiquantative histological index(SHI). Results : Compared to control rats, Lonicerae Flos decreased leukocyte count(P<0.01) lymphocyte, neutrophil percentage(P<0.05), SHI(P<0.01), IFN-gamma and IL-4(P<0.05) in Treated rats. Otherwise, macrophage percentage was increased(P<0.01) in Treated rats. Conclusion : This study showed that Lonicerae Flos reduced the change of inflammatory cells and cytokines in bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis and reduced the fibrosis of tissue. And, we needed many other distinct researches on lung fibrosis.

  • 현재 해상풍력 발전 타워는 강구조로 제작되고 있으며, 발전용량의 증가에 따라 타워 구조체 또한 장대화 되는 추세이다. 강조조물의 특성상 좌굴에 취약하며, 장대화 됨에 따라 세장비가 증가하여, 좌굴 및 진동에 취약한 특성을 보이게 된다. 본 연구에서는 신형식 구조체인 이중관-콘크리트 합성 구조(DSCT; Double Skinned Composite Tubular)를 적용한 해상풍력 타워를 제시하고 요구 성능을 만족하는 최적 단면 설계를 제시하였다. 관은 섬유보강 합성수지 (FRP; Fiber Reinforce Polymer)와 강재를 적용한 경우를 고려하였으며, 모두 요구 성능을 만족하였다.

Simplified P-M interaction curve model for reinforced concrete columns exposed to standard fire

  • In the authors' previous study, an axial force-flexural moment (P-M) interaction curve model was proposed to evaluate fire-resisting performances of reinforced concrete (RC) column members. The proposed method appeared to properly consider the axial and flexural strength degradations including the secondary moment effects in RC columns due to fire damage. However, the detailed P-M interaction curve model proposed in the authors' previous study requires somewhat complex computational procedures and iterative calculations, which makes it difficult to be used for practical design in its current form. Thus, the aim of this study was to develop a simplified P-M interaction curve model of RC columns exposed to fire considering the effects of fire damage on the material performances and magnitudes of secondary moments. The simplified P-M interaction model proposed in this study was verified using 66 column fire test results collected from literature, and the verification results showed that the proposed simplified method can provide an adequate analysis accuracy of the failure loads and fire-resisting times of the RC column specimens.

A Study of the Mechanical Properties of Patch-Bonded and Riveted Repairs on Cracked Al 6061-T6 alloy Structures

  • A comparison of Riveted and bonded repairs, bearing and net tension failures, and Al 6061-T6 plates is presented. The results are then compared with previous papers about bonded repairs on different patch materials and shapes. Aluminum alloys, including Al 6061-T6, have a face-centered-cubic crystal structure. Under normal circumstances, these types of crystal structures do not exhibit cleavage fractures even at very low temperatures. In aluminum-base structures, the cracked plate structures are frequently repaired using mechanical fasteners-either rivets of bolts- even though patch-bonding techniques are applied to repair and reinforce the structure. Static test results indicate that the riveted repairs are affected by the position of the rivers. When using the same size of patch, the bonded repair technique is stronger; the rate of elongation is also increased. Form FEM analysis, it is revealed the origin of patch debonding in patch-bonded structures is the edge of the patch along to the tensile strength.

  • 나노 소재는 표면적이 매우 크고 크기나 기공이 균일하여 분리막에서 물질 전달통로나 특수한 기능성을 갖게 하는 소재로 이용이 가능하다. 그중에서도, 그래핀, 그래핀 옥사이드 및 탄소나노튜브와 같은 나노탄소 구조체에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 일차원 구조를 갖는 탄소나노튜브의 경우 우수한 열적, 화학적 및 기계적 성질을 가지고 있으나, 기존 연구에서는 주로 고분자와 혼합하여 기계적 물성을 강화하는 복합소재로서 사용됐으며, 응용분야의 한계를 가지고 있었다. 본 연구에서는 폴리 에틸렌 글리콜 다이아크릴레이트(PEGDA) 고분자 내에 개질된 탄소나노튜브를 혼합하여, 기체 분리막에서의 투과도 및 선택도의 변화를 관찰하였다.

Modelling of timber joints made with steel dowels and locally reinforced by DVW discs

  • Local reinforcement in dowel type timber joints is essential to improve ductility, to increase load carrying capacity and to reduce the risk of brittle failure, especially in the case of using solid dowel. In many types of reinforcing materials available today, DVW (densified veneer wood) has been demonstrated to be the most advantages in terms of compatibility, embedding performance and ductility. Preliminary studies show that using appropriately sized DVW discs bonded into the timber interfaces may be an effective way to reinforce the connection. In this paper, non-linear 3-dimensional finite element models, incorporating orthotropic and non-linear material behaviour, have been developed to simulate structural performance of the timber joints locally reinforced by DVW discs. Different contact algorithms were applied to simulate contact conditions in the joints. The models were validated by the corresponding structural tests. Correlation between the experimental results and the finite element simulations is reasonably good. Using validated finite element models, parametric studies were undertaken to investigate effects of the DVW disc sizes and the end distances on shear stresses and normal stresses in a possible failure plane in the joint.

Mechanical and electrical properties of cement paste incorporated with pitch-based carbon fiber

  • The compressive strength and electrical resistance of pitch-based carbon fiber (CF) in cementitious materials are explored to determine the feasibility of its use as a functional material in construction. The most widely used CFs are manufactured from polyacrylonitrile (PAN-based CF). Alternatively, short CFs are obtained in an economical way using pitch as a precursor in a melt-blown process (pitch-based CF), which is cheaper and more eco-friendly method because this pitch-based CF is basically recycled from petroleum residue. In the construction field, PAN-based CFs in the form of fabric are used for rehabilitation purposes to reinforce concrete slabs and piers because of their high mechanical properties. However, studies have revealed that construction materials with pitch-based CF are not popular. This study explores the compressive strength and electrical resistances of a cement paste prism using pitch-based CF.

중량물 취급시 재해 발생 현황 몇 원인에 관한 연구 (Causes and Condition of Industrial Accidents during Manual Materials Handling)

  • This study analyze industrial safety and health planning report for manufacture. The purpose of accident analysis is to obtain accurate and objective information about the causes of accidents in order to prevent accidents from reoccurring. This study investigated the causes and conditions of occupational accidents in Korean industry. As the most accidents are occurred in lifting material, the questionnaire analyses about injuries are operated for occur to deal with the Manual Materials Handing. The results show that there are some characteristics in the accidents of Korean industry since 1986: (1) accidents rates tend to have lower since 1983(1994-1.18%, 1995-0.99%, 1996-0.88%), (2) larger companies tend to have lower accident rates than the smaller ones, (3) inexperience is related to high accident rates(1995-51.26%, 1996-48.82%1, because of the careless education for freshman such as OJT which in order to prevent accident, and (4) the body sites most vulnerable to injury are the hands and fingers and increased the back(caused of Back pain). The results of questionnaire analysis show that operator(n= 104) interested in reinforce the back & belly(42.86%). These finding identified in this study can be used to prevent the industrial accidents, and used to improving directions based on analyzed result.

지오그리드를 이용한 보강사면의 현장 계측 연구 (Site Monitoring and Analysis of the Reinforced Slope with geogrid)

  • 본 연구에서는 Jewell의 설계도표에 의해 설계된 보강사면의 시험시공을 통한 현장계측을 실시하여 현장 성토체의 다짐특성, 사면의 변형특성, 침하특성 등을 분석함으로써 지오그리드를 이용한 보강 사면의 적용성과 전체적인 안정성을 평가를 수행하였다. 안정성 평가 결과, Jewell의 설계도표에 의해 설계된 보강사면은 전체적으로 안정한 것으로 평가되었으며, 식생매트 포설에 따른 식생의 활착은 현재의 경과 시간만을 고려하면 외관상 안정된 식생 발아 상태를 보이나, 식생의 발아가 경사면에 비해 시공 포설 경계층에 집중되어 이에 대한 보완이 요구된다.
