  • Background: We aimed to provide basic data for improving the effectiveness of the invitational training and reflecting it in the program in the following year by identifying the satisfaction level of trainees who participated in the "Dr. LEE Jong-wook Fellowship Program" funded by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare. Methods: A qualitative study was conducted using a questionnaire interview. In the first stage of analysis, only the interview contents related to the research topic were classified by the researcher for the conversations recorded at the interview site, and in the second stage of analysis, the interview contents classified in the first stage were classified into each of those mentioned in this study. Results: The longer the trainees participated in the program and the better the accessibility, the higher the satisfaction with the program. In addition, the level of achievement of the trainees' goals and the level of improvement in their competence affected their satisfaction, and their difficulty in language communication during the training period was identified as a factor affecting the trainees' satisfaction level. In addition, competency improvement and satisfaction were positively correlated (r=0.75, p=0.03). Conclusion: When organizing a rehabilitation workforce capacity training program, it is important to identify trainees' needs, ensure accessibility, organize courses effectively, enhance English proficiency, and expand practical lectures to increase trainees' knowledge and understanding of rehabilitation.

Ninety-four persons with disabilities dwelling in the community participated and the surveys were completed in an interview during home visits. The respondents' demographic, socio-economic, and medical characteristics, rehabilitation service received, willingness to receive home-visit rehabilitation services, and satisfaction with the rehabilitation services were analyzed by frequency and percentage. A Likert scoring system consisting of five agreement-disagreement categories was applied to each item, consisting of Very Satisfied, Satisfied, So-So, Poorly Satisfied, and Very Poorly Satisfied. The major findings were as follows: 1) The rehabilitation services used included medical rehabilitation (26.9%), followed by social assistance (23.5%), diagnosis by a physician at home (17.3%), medical examination (12.3%), housekeeping services (6.2%), and vocational and educational rehabilitation (3.5%). 2) Of the medical services, the respondents desired physical therapy at home and free rental of rehabilitation equipment, such as wheelchairs, canes, walkers, the most, followed by home visit occupational therapy, nursing services, and oriental medicine service in descending order. 3) Some of the respondents expressed so-so satisfaction (50.0%) or dissatisfaction (16.9%) with the rehabilitation services provided by the Wonju Public Health Center. Design: Survey study Methods: Prior to this survey, 28 users of the front division and military hospital were surveyed in advance to verify the survey through reliability analysis. For this survey, 1,300 questionnaires were distributed to seven frontline divisions and three military hospitals, of which 578 military hospitals and 479 divisions were collected. Among them, 1,042 pieces of data were used for the analysis, excluding 15 questionnaires that exceeded the research period of the division. Analysis methods used Cronbach-α and multiple regression for mean comparison analysis, factor analysis for validation, and reliability verification to verify differences between groups. Results: As a result of the satisfaction analysis, the division's stage satisfaction was higher than that of military hospitals, and as a result of analyzing the satisfaction items by sector, accessibility, re-visit doctors, and professionalism accounted for a large portion in the field of physical therapy services. As a result of a regression analysis, the factors that affect the satisfaction of physical therapy had the greatest impact on facility and environmental satisfaction, and expertise in physical therapy services. Conclusions: In the future, it will be necessary to improve the comfort of the physical therapy room and the expertise of physical therapy in order to improve the satisfaction level of physical therapy at military medical facilities.

Methods This study was carried out 103 cases of traffic accident patients which had been treatment in Dongshin university Korean medicine hospital and Chung-Yeon Korean medicine hospital from June, 2014 to September, 2014. The survey used by preceding articles was accepted for assessment of the satisfaction degree of patients in this study. All data were coded by SPSS v18.0 and analyzed by descriptive maneuver, x2-test, T-test and correlation. Results According to the survey, 93.2% of patients included this study were hospitalized in the Korean medical hospital within 2 weeks from TA and 90.3% were satisfied with the current medical service. The answer that Korean medicine is superior to western medicine for TA treatment was the main reason for selecting Korean medical hospital. 46.6% of patients satisfied Acupuncture treatment and 29.1% of patients satisfied Korean physical treatment. There were no differences in the satisfaction degree with sex, age, education and occupation. The satisfaction degree of the current Korean medical service was significantly correlated with doctor's service, use the procedure and reuse intention. Conclusions We could see that the satisfaction of Korean medicine treatment is relatively high. The continuous and repetitive research is needed in order to improve the quality of Korean medicine hospital service and the satisfaction of patients by traffic accident.

  • PURPOSE: This study examined the effects of Robot Tilt-table Training (RTT) on the lower extremity strength, balance, gait, and satisfaction with rehabilitation, in patients with subacute stroke (less than six months after stroke onset), and requiring intensive rehabilitation. METHODS: A total of 29 subacute stroke patients were divided into an RTT group (n = 14) and a Body Weight Support Treadmill Training (BWSTT) group (n = 15). The mean age of patients was 62 years. RTT and BWSTT were performed for four weeks, three times a week, for 30 minutes. Isometric strength of the lower extremities before and after intervention was compared by measuring the maximal voluntary isometric contraction of the lower extremity muscles. To compare the balance function, the center of pressure (COP) path-length and COP velocity were measured. Timed Up & Go test (TUG) and 10 Meter Walking Test (10 MWT) were evaluated to compare the gait function. A satisfaction with rehabilitation survey was conducted for subjective evaluation of the subject's satisfaction with the rehabilitation training imparted. RESULTS: In the intra-group comparison, both groups showed significant improvement in lower extremity strength, balance, gait, and satisfaction with rehabilitation, by comparing the parameters before and after the intervention (p < .05). Comparison of the amount of change between groups revealed significant improvement for all parameters in the RTT group, except for the 10 MWT (p < .05). CONCLUSION: Both groups are effective for all variables, but the RTT group showed enhanced efficacy for variables such as lower extremity strength, balance, gait, and satisfaction with rehabilitation, as compared to the BWSTT group.

  • This study aims at creating a daily life satisfaction improvement plan by using motivation for seeking need for rehabilitation services and self-efficacy in individuals who returned-to-work and reemployed injured workers. The subjects of this study were 2,642 returnees and 3,742 reemployed individuals who participated in the first to fifth year survey of the first cohort of the Panel Survey of Workers' Compensation Insurance. The analysis checked the mediating effect through the multiple regression analysis and bootstrapping. The result indicated the need for rehabilitation services had negative impact on self-efficacy and daily life satisfaction whereas self-efficacy had a positive effect on daily life satisfaction and played a mediating role between the need for rehabilitation services and daily life satisfaction. Based on these results, a need for the advancement of social psychological rehabilitation program and establishing an integrative rehabilitation process were identified.

The turnover intention of the rehabilitation specialists was analyzed with personal factors, job-related factors, and factors related with client violence, discrimination, and burnout. Among these factors, variables of wage satisfaction, job satisfaction, and client violence have statistically significant effect on the turnover intention of rehabilitation specialists. While the variables of wage satisfaction and job satisfaction are likely to decrease the turnover intention of rehabilitation specialists, the variable of client violence significantly increase the turnover intention of rehabilitation specialists. The results of this analysis implies that the labor conditions including salary, the work environment for the rehabilitation specialists, and client education should be improved and strengthened to decrease the turnover intention of the rehabilitation specialists.
