영역 경계 기법을 사용한 OFDM기반 WLAN 시스템의 반송파 주파수 오프셋 추정 기법 (Low-complexity Carrier Frequency Offset Estimation using A Novel Region Boundary for OFDM-based WLAN Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 OFDM 기반의 WLAN시스템인 IEEE802.11a 표준의 반송파 주파수 오프셋(CFO) 추정 기법에 있어 영역 분할 기법을 통해 복잡도를 낮추는 기법을 제안한다. OFDM 기반의 시스템에서 CFO을 추정하기 위한 자기 상관연산에 사용되는 아크탄젠트 연산을 절반으로 감소시킬 제안된 기법은 소수부 CFO 추정을 먼저 연산한 뒤 그 값과 간단한 영역 분리 기법을 통하여 정수부 CFO 추정의 복잡도를 낮출 수 있다. 제안된 기법은 복잡도가 낮아짐에도 불구하고 성능은 기존의 기법을 능가하는 것을 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 알 수 있다. 또한 제안된 기법은 복잡도가 차세대 MIMO-OFDM 기반의 무선 LAN 시스템에도 쉽게 적용될 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 고속 센서리스 운전을 위한 회전자 자극 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 일반적으로 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 센서리스 운전은 오픈 루프 기동 후 특정 속도 영역에서 센서리스 운전으로 전환된다. 이와 같은 오픈 루프 기동 과정에서 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 일정한 회전 방향을 유지하기 위한 회전자 자극의 검출이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 자기적 비대칭을 갖는 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 특성을 고려하여 전류 제어기 기반의 옵셋 전류 및 고주파 전압 신호를 활용한 회전자 자극 검출 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 다수의 실험을 통하여 회전자 자극 검출의 유효성과 유용성을 확인하였다.

임플란트 고정체의 나사산 형태와 하중조건에 따른 응력분석 (Finite Element Stress Analysis of the Implant Fixture According to the Thread Configuration and the Loading Condition)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the v-shape thread with the square shape thread of fixture in the view of stress distribution pattern using finite element stress analysis. The finite element model was designed with the parallel placement of two standard fixtures(4.0 mm diameter ${\times}$ 11.5 mm length) on the region of mandibular 1st and 2nd molars. Three dimensional finite element model was created with the components of the implant and surrounding bone. This study simulated loads of 200 N at the central fossa in a axial direction (load A), 200 N at the buccal offset load that is 2 mm apart from central fossa in a axial direction (load B), 200 N at the buccal offset load that was 4 mm apart from central fossa in a axial direction (load C). These forces of load A',B',C' were applied to a $15^{\circ}$ inward oblique direction at that same site with 200 N. Von Mises stress values were recorded and compared in the supporting bone, fixture, and abutment screw. The following results have been made based on this study : 1. The highest stress concentration occurred at the cervical region of the implant fixture. 2. Von Mises stress value of off-site region was higher than that of central fossa region. 3. Square shape thread type showed more even stress distribution in the vertical and oblique force than V-shape thread type. 4. Stress distribution was the most effective in the case of buccal offset load (2, 4 mm distance from central fossa) in the square shape thread type. 5. V-shape thread type revealed higher von Mises stress value than square shape thread type in all environmental condition. The results from numerical analyses concluded that square shape thread type had the lower destructive stress and more stress distribution between the fixture and bone interface than V-shape thread type. Therefore, square shape thread type was regarded as optimal thread configuration in biomechanical concepts.

Carrier Frequency Offset Estimation Using ESPRIT for the Interleaved OFDMA Uplink Systems

  • In this paper, a carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimator is proposed for the interleaved OFDMA uplink systems. It is based on the estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance technique (ESPRIT). Compared with the Cao's estimator, the proposed estimator has low computational complexity. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed estimator performs better than Cao's estimator at the relatively low SNR region. Hence, the proposed estimator is more applicable to the practical environments than the Cao’s estimator.

  • This paper analyzes heterogeneous distribution of branch-like structure at the downstream region of the spray. The liquid and vapor phase of the spray are obtained using a 35㎜ still camera and CCD camera in order to investigate spray structure of evaporating diesel spray. There have been many studies conducted on diesel spray structure but have yet only focused on the analyses of 2-D structure. There are a few information which is concerned with 3-D structure analysis of evaporating spray. The heterogeneous distribution of droplets in inner spray affects the mixture formation of diesel spray and the combustion characteristics of the diesel engines. In this study, the laser beam of 2-D plane was used in order to investigate 3-D structure of evaporating spray The incident laser beam was offset on the central axis of the spray. From the analysis of images taken by offset laser beam, we will examine the formation mechanism of heterogeneous distribution of the diesel spray by vortex flow at the downstream of the spray. The images of liquid and vapor phase of free spray are simultaneously taken through an exciplex fluorescence method. Through this, the branch-like structure consisting of heterogeneous distribution of the droplets forms high concentrated vapor phase at the periphery of droplets and at the spray tip.

  • 일반적으로 카세그레 인 오프셋 복 반사경(Cassegrain Dual Offset Reflector)은 위성 통신용 안테나로 사용되지만, 여기서는 CPTR(Compact Payload Test Range)을 위한 반사경 시스템으로 해석하였다. 시험 영역의 근접 전계는 물리 광학법(Physical Optics)을 적용하여 계산하였다. CPTR은 균일한 평면파 제공을 목적으로 하며, 이를 위해 최소한의 진폭과 위상 리플(ripple)을 가져야 하며, 교차 편파 또한 작아야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 반사경 구조 및 시험 영역의 위치에 따른 근접 전계 패턴을 구하여 전계의 리플, 테이퍼와 교차 편파를 고찰하였다. 특히 통신용 반사경 안테나에서는 나타나지 않는 안테나 축방향의 교차 편파 성분을 고찰하였다.

CR 영상에서 기저선 보정을 위한 1차원 모폴로지컬 필터의 이용에 관한 연구 (Baseline Correction in Computed Radiography Images with 1D Morphological Filter)

  • Computed radiography (CR) systems, which convert an analog signal recorded on a cassette into a digital image, combine the characteristics of analog and digital imaging systems. Compared to digital radiography (DR) systems, CR systems have presented difficulties in evaluating system performance because of their lower detective quantum efficiency, their lower signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and lower modulation transfer function (MTF). During the step of energy-storing and reading out, a baseline offset occurs in the edge area and makes low-frequency overestimation. The low-frequency offset component in the line spread function (LSF) critically affects the MTF and other image-analysis or qualification processes. In this study, we developed the method of baseline correction using mathematical morphology to determine the LSF and MTF of CR systems accurately. We presented a baseline correction that used a morphological filter to effectively remove the low-frequency offset from the LSF. We also tried an MTF evaluation of the CR system to demonstrate the effectiveness of the baseline correction. The MTF with a 3-pixel structuring element (SE) fluctuated since it overestimated the low-frequency component. This overestimation led the algorithm to over-compensate in the low-frequency region so that high-frequency components appeared relatively strong. The MTFs with between 11- and 15-pixel SEs showed little variation. Compared to spatial or frequency filtering that eliminated baseline effects in the edge spread function, our algorithm performed better at precisely locating the edge position and the averaged LSF was narrower.

MoSe2가 Cu(In,Ga)Se2 박막 태양전지 모듈의 ZnO/Mo 접합의 접촉 저항에 미치는 영향 (Effect of MoSe2 on Contact Resistance of ZnO/Mo Junction in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 Thin Film Solar Module)

  • In this paper, the effect of MoSe2 on the contact resistance (RC) of the transparent conducting oxide (TCO) and Mo junction in the scribed P2 region of the Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) solar module was analyzed. The CIGS/Mo junction becomes ohmic-contact by MoSe2, so the formation of the MoSe2 layer is essential. However, the CIGS solar module has a TCO/MoSe2/Mo junction in the P2 region due to structural differences from the cell. The contact resistance (RC) of the P2 region was calculated using the transmission line method, and MoSe2 was confirmed to increase RC of the TCO/Mo junction. B doped ZnO (BZO) was used as TCO, and when BZO/MoSe2 junction was formed, conduction band offset (CBO) of 0.6 eV was generated due to the difference in their electron affinities. It is expected that this CBO acts as a carrier transport barrier that disturbs the flow of current, resulting in increased RC. In order to reduce the RC caused by CBO, MoSe2 must be made thin in a CIGS solar module.

산림경영형 산림탄소상쇄 사업설계를 위한 주요 수종별 베이스라인 흡수량 산정 (A Study on the Baseline Carbon Stock for Major Species in Korea for Conducting Carbon Offset Projects based on Forest Management)

  • 본 연구에서는 산림경영형 산림탄소상쇄 사업을 설계하는데 필요한 베이스라인 흡수량의 산정을 위해 제5차 국가산림자원조사 자료를 토대로 개발된 동적 임분생장모델을 적용하였다. 모델의 정확성 검증을 위해 홍천, 횡성, 양양 대치리 및 정자리에 위치한 4개 시험지 14개 간벌 처리구에서 조사된 실측자료와 비교한 결과 모델 예측치와 실측치의 편차가 5% 미만의 낮은 오차율을 보였다. 개발된 동적 임분생장모델을 이용하여 수종별 베이스라인 시나리오에 따른 임분 생장량 및 탄소저장량의 변화를 예측하고, 베이스라인 흡수량을 산정한 결과, 상수리나무의 베이스라인 흡수량이 83.01tC/ha로 가장 높은 반면, 리기다소나무(32.17tC/ha)와 중부지방소나무(39.09tC/ha)는 흡수량이 낮았다. 따라서 수종갱신을 통한 산림경영형 산림탄소상쇄사업을 추진하는 경우 리기다소나무와 중부지방소나무 임분을 대상지로 하는 것이 유리한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 제시된 수종별 베이스라인 흡수량과 동적 임분생장모델은 산림경영형 산림탄소상쇄 사업을 설계하는데 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

SELAX Technology for Poly-Si TFTs Integrated with Amorphous-Si TFTs

  • We developed the advanced LTPS (A-LTPS) manufacturing process. The a-Si TFT process was combined with selectively enlarging laser crystallization (SELAX) technology to improve the carrier mobility in the region where the peripheral circuits are to be fabricated. A 2.4-inch IPS-pro LCD panel for personal digital assistant use was successfully fabricated using the developed technology.
