연안지역 지형적 특성에 따른 윈드프로파일러 자료의 자료동화 효과 분석 (The Application of Wind Profiler Data and Its Effects on Wind Distributions in Two Different Coastal Areas)

  • The effects of high-resolution wind profiler (HWP) data on the wind distributions were evaluated in two different coastal areas during the study period (23-26 August, 2007), indicating weak-gradient flows. The analysis was performed using the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model coupled with a three-dimensional variational (3DVAR) data assimilation system. For the comparison purpose, two coastal regions were selected as: a southwestern coastal (SWC) region characterized by a complex shoreline and a eastern coastal (EC) region surrounding a simple coastline and high mountains. The influence of data assimilation using the HWP data on the wind distributions in the SWC region was moderately higher than that of the EC region. In comparison between the wind speed and direction in the two coastal areas, the application of the HWP data contributed to improvement of the wind direction distribution in the SWC region and the wind strength in the EC region, respectively. This study suggests that the application of the HWP data exerts a large impact on the change in wind distributions over the sea and thus can contribute to the solution to lack of satellite and buoy data with their observational uncertainty.

Neighboring Elemental Image Exemplar Based Inpainting for Computational Integral Imaging Reconstruction with Partial Occlusion

  • We propose a partial occlusion removal method for computational integral imaging reconstruction (CIIR) based on the usage of the exemplar based inpainting technique. The proposed method is an improved version of the original linear inpainting based CIIR (LI-CIIR), which uses the inpainting technique to fill in the data missing region. The LI-CIIR shows good results for images which contain objects with smooth surfaces. However, if the object has a textured surface, the result of the LI-CIIR deteriorates, since the linear inpainting cannot recover the textured data in the data missing region well. In this work, we utilize the exemplar based inpainting to fill in the textured data in the data missing region. We call the proposed method the neighboring elemental image exemplar based inpainting (NEI-exemplar inpainting) method, since it uses sources from neighboring elemental images to fill in the data missing region. Furthermore, we also propose an automatic occluding region extraction method based on the use of the mutual constraint using depth estimation (MC-DE) and the level set based bimodal segmentation. Experimental results show the validity of the proposed system.

양자화 제약 집합에 여과된 데이터를 투영하는 기법의 이론적 고찰 (Theoretical analysis of the projection of filtered data onto the quantization constraint set)

  • The postprocessing of compressed images based on the projections onto convex sets and the constrained minimization imposes several constraints on the procesed data. The quantization constraint has been commonly used in various algorithms. Quantization is many-to-one mapping, by which all the dat in a quantization region are mapped to the corresponding representative level. The basic idea behind the projection onto the QCS(quantization constraint set) is to prevent the processed data from diverging from the original quantization region in order to redue the artifacts caused by filtering in postprocessing. However, there have been few efforts to analye the POQCS(projection onto the QCS). This paper analyzed mathematically the POQCS of filtered data from the viewpoint of minimizing the mean square error. Our analysis shows that a proper filtering technique followed by the POQCS can reduce the quantization distortion. In the conventional POQCS, the outside data of each quantization region are mapped into the corresponding boundary. Our analysis also shows that mappingthe outside data to the boundary of a subregion of the quantization region yields lower distortion than does the mapping to the boundary of the original region. In addition, several examples and discussions on the theory are introduced.

  • oneM2M의 domain은 Device, Network, Application domain으로 구분되며, 다양한 device에서 생성되는 데이터를 IoT/M2M gateway를 통해 취합, Core/Access Network를 거쳐 적합한 IoT/M2M Infrastructure에 전달한다. 그러나 device가 동일한 지역 내에 위치하는 Infrastructure에 데이터를 전달 할 경우에도 Core/Access Network에 접근이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 oneM2M domain에 지역 network domain의 개념을 추가하여 데이터의 지역정보를 판단 후 전송, 불필요한 Core/Access Network의 접근을 방지하는 지역 gateway 기반 데이터 전송방법을 제안한다.

Pixel 군집화 Data를 이용한 실시간 반사광 검출 알고리즘 (Real-time Reflection Light Detection Algorithm using Pixel Clustering Data)

  • A new algorithm has been propose to detect the reflected light region as disturbances in a real-time vision system. There have been several attempts to detect existing reflected light region. The conventional mathematical approach requires a lot of complex processes so that it is not suitable for a real-time vision system. On the other hand, when a simple detection process has been applied, the reflected light region can not be detected accurately. Therefore, in order to detect reflected light region for a real-time vision system, the detection process requires a new algorithm that is as simple and accurate as possible. In order to extract the reflected light, the proposed algorithm has been adopted several filter equations and clustering processes in the HSI (Hue Saturation Intensity) color space. Also the proposed algorithm used the pre-defined reflected light data generated through the clustering processes to make the algorithm simple. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, several images with the reflected region have been used and the reflected regions are detected successfully.

팬츠패턴의 설계요인 분석 - 밑위관련 항목을 중심으로 - (An Analysis on the Design Factors for Pants Pattern - Focused on Crotch Region -)

  • Pants is an item of clothes of which physical suitability for improvement of appearance and movement is greatly emphasized. The pattern design of pants is very important because the fitness of crotch region, which is difficult to measure, is structurally essential in pants. This study gives detailed pattern development data for the future pattern design by considering design factors related with crotch region of pants and by suggesting related data. For this study, we measured and analyzed the measuring size of each parts of pattern and the design methods related with crotch region selecting 20 textbooks used in universities and institutes of higher education. Through this study, crotch region of pants pattern related design data were obtained and this result could be a primary information in development and education of pants pattern.

Region-based scalable self-recovery for salient-object images

  • Self-recovery is a tamper-detection and image recovery methods based on data hiding. It generates two types of data and embeds them into the original image: authentication data for tamper detection and reference data for image recovery. In this paper, a region-based scalable self-recovery (RSS) method is proposed for salient-object images. As the images consist of two main regions, the region of interest (ROI) and the region of non-interest (RONI), the proposed method is aimed at achieving higher reconstruction quality for the ROI. Moreover, tamper tolerability is improved by using scalable recovery. In the RSS method, separate reference data are generated for the ROI and RONI. Initially, two compressed bitstreams at different rates are generated using the embedded zero-block coding source encoder. Subsequently, each bitstream is divided into several parts, which are protected through various redundancy rates, using the Reed-Solomon channel encoder. The proposed method is tested on 10 000 salient-object images from the MSRA database. The results show that the RSS method, compared to related methods, improves reconstruction quality and tamper tolerability by approximately 30% and 15%, respectively.

  • This paper describes the image data compression based on the image decomposition. We reduced the processing time using the segmentation based on the distribution of grey level, and obtained high compression rate using the Huffman run-length coding for the segmented image, and the 2-Dimensional least square curve fitting and the shift coder for each region.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm to decode Data Matrix two dimensional barcode symbology. We employ hough transform and bilinear image warping to extract the barcode region from the image scanned using a CMOS digital camera. The location of barcode can be found by applying Hough transform. However, barcode image should be warped due to the nonlinearity of lens and the viewing angle of camera. In this paper, bilinear warping transform is adopted to wa게 and align the barcode region of the scanned image. Codeword can be detected from the aligned barcode region.

  • The E- $\varepsilon$ turbulence numerical model was applied to a flow around triangular ridge in neutral boundary layer. Scale of cavity region, mean velocity, Reynolds stress and eddy diffusivity were investigated. The height of cavity region was in satifactory agreement with the wind tunnel data while the length of cavity region was underestimated. The man wind velocities outside the cavity region were well Predicted by the model, however in cavity region the mean wind velocities of wind tunnel data were larger than the model results Reynolds stress of cavity region was overestimated by the model. The eddy diffusivity of wake region was strongly modified under the influence of triangular ridge. The local minimum of the eddy diffusivity was occured in the lee of the ridge top.
