  • Real-time(RT) object-oriented(OO) distributed computing is a form of RT distributed computing realized with a distributed computer system structured in the form of an object network. Several approached proposed in recent years for extending the conventional object structuring scheme to suit RT applications, are briefly reviewed. Then the approach named the TMO(Time-triggered Message-triggered Object)structuring scheme was formulated with the goal of instigating a quantum productivity jump in the design of distributed time triggered simulation. The TMO scheme is intended to facilitate the pursuit of a new paradigm in designing distributed time triggered simulation which is to realize real-time computing with a common and general design style that does not alienate the main-stream computing industry and yet to allow system engineers to confidently produce certifiable distributed time triggered simulation for safety-critical applications. The TMO structuring scheme is a syntactically simple but semantically powerful extension of the conventional object structuring approached and as such, its support tools can be based on various well-established OO programming languages such as C++ and on ubiquitous commercial RT operating system kernels. The Scheme enables a great reduction of the designers efforts in guaranteeing timely service capabilities of application systems. Start after striking space key 2 times.

  • The object-oriented(OO) distributed real- time(RT) programming movement started in 1990’s and is growing rapidly at this turn of the century Distributed real-time simulation is a field in its infancy but it is bounded to receive steadily growing recognition for its importance and wide applicability. The scheme is called the distributed time-triggered simulation scheme which is conceptually simple and easy to use but widely applicable. A new generation object oriented(00) RT programming scheme is called the time-triggered message triggered object(TMO) programming scheme and it is used to make specific illustrations of the issues. The TMO structuring scheme is a general-style components structuring scheme and supports design of all types of component including hard real time 1 objects and non real time objects within one general structure.

  • In this paper, we present a new framework and synchronization mechanism to effectively support developing real-time communication service by using a real-time object model named TMO (Time-Triggered Message-Triggered Object). Also, we describes the application environment as the DHS(distributed high-precision simulation) to guarantee real-time service message with TMO structure in distributed network systems. The TMO scheme is aimed for enabling a great reduction of the designer's effort in guaranteeing timely real-time communication service capabilities of among distributed multi-nodes systems. Our real-time framework provide the consistent construction and configuration of tine-triggered processing components across heterogeneous distributed object environment more easily. It has been formulated from the beginning with the objective of enabling design-time guaranteeing of timely action. In the real time simulation techniques based on TMO object modeling, we have observed several advantages to the TMO structuring scheme. TMO object modeling has a strong traceability between requirement specification and design.

  • Video object segmentation is one of the core technologies for content-based real-time MPEG-4 encoding system. For real-time requirement, the segmentation algorithm should be fast and accurate but almost all existing algorithms are computationally intensive and not suitable for real-time applications. The MPEG-4 VM(Verification Model) has provided basic algorithms for MPEG-4 encoding but it has many limitations in practical software development, real-time camera input system and compression efficiency. In this paper, we implemented the preprocessing system for real-time camera input and VOP extraction for content-based video coding and also implemented motion detection to achieve the 180 : 1 compression rate for real-time and high compression MPEG-4 encoding.

  • It is essential to guarantee high reliability of embedded real-time systems since the failure of such systems may result in large financial damage or threaten human life. Though many researches have devoted to fault tolerant mechanisms, most of them are object-level fault tolerant mechanisms that can detect errors occurred in a single object and treat the errors in object-level. As embedded real-time systems become more complex and larger, there exist faults that cannot be detected by or tolerated with object-level fault tolerance. Hence, system-level fault tolerance is needed. System-level fault tolerance examines the status of a system whether the system is normal or not by analyzing the status of objects. When an error is detected it should be capable of locating the fault and performing an appropriate recovery and reconfiguration action. In this paper, we propose RobustRTO(Robust Real-Time Object) that provides object-level fault tolerance capability and RMO(Region Monitor real-time Object) that offers system-level fault tolerance capability. Then we show how highly dependable fault tolerant systems can be modeled by RobustRTO and RMO. The model is presented based on real-time objects.

  • We present a method for transmitting 3D object information in real time in a telepresence system. Three-dimensional object information consists of a large amount of point cloud data, which requires high performance computing power and ultra-wideband network transmission environment to process and transmit such a large amount of data in real time. In this paper, multiple users can transmit object motion and facial expression information in real time even in small network bands by using GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks), a non-supervised learning machine learning algorithm, for real-time transmission of 3D point cloud data. In particular, we propose the creation of an object similar to the original using only the feature information of 3D objects using conditional GANs.

  • In this paper, we present a new framework and stream synchronization mechanism to effectively support developing real-time multimedia streaming services by using a real-time object model named TMO (Time-triggered Message-triggered Object). The purpose of the framework is twofold. Firstly, the framework helps developers to design complex distributed real-time multimedia streaming services. Secondly, it supports timely streaming facilities. In order to achieve these goals, our framework is consist of Multimedia Streaming TMO, MMStreaming TMO Support Library and TMO Support Middleware. The time-triggered spontaneous feature of the MMStream TMO and a global-time based synchronization scheme is used as a regulator against the irregular deliveries and processing of media units caused by QoS non-guaranteed systems and communication channels. In conclusion, timely service capability of our framework is expected to contributed to overall enhancement of the real-time multimedia streaming.

  • In recent years there have been increasing interests in real-time object tracking with image information. Since image information is affected by illumination, this paper presents the real-time object tracking method based on neural networks that have robust characteristics under various illuminations. This paper proposes three steps to track the object and the fast tracking method. In the first step the object color is extracted using neural networks. In the second step we detect the object feature information based on invariant moment. Finally the object is tracked through a shape recognition using neural networks. To achieve the fast tracking performance, we have a global search for entire image and then have tracking the object through local search when the object is recognized.
