  • We have developed a biological signal measurement, archiving, and communication system (SiMACS). The front end of the system is the intelligent data processing unit (IDPU) which includes ECG, EEG, EMG, blood pressure, respiration, temperature measurement modules, module control and data acquisition unit, real-time display and signal processing unit. IDPUS are connected to central data base unit through LAN(Ethernet). Workstations which receive signals from central DB and provide various signal analysis tools are also connected to the network. The developed PC-based SiMACS is described.

  • 전력계통에서 해석 하는 방법종류로 정적해석과 동적해석 그리고 온라인 해석과 오프라인 해석으로 나뉜다. 기존의 계통 해석하는 방법으로는 오프라인 정적해석을 이용하며 PSS/E에서도 정적해석을 주로 사용한다. 하지만 우리가 사용하고 있는 실제 계통에서는 실시간으로 값이 변한다. 정확한 해석을 하기 위해 실시간으로 해석이 가능한 온라인 해석과 동적해석이 요구되며 이에 따라 EMS(Energy Management System)에 대한 중요도가 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 EMS시스템 중에서도 실시간으로 취득 점으로부터 데이터를 받아와 해석 할 수 있는 정적 온라인 해석인 상태추정을 다룰 것이다. 오늘날 DC부하, DC배전망, 신재생에너지 등 다양한 분야에서 DC계통이 확산되고 있다. 이처럼 DC계통에 많은 관심과 이목이 집중되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 DC계통에 접목시킬 수 있는 상태추정에 대한 해석과 사례연구를 통한 사용가능성에 대해 연구하였다.

  • 음향은 수중에서 원거리 전파가 가능하여 수심 측량, 수중 물체 탐지, 수중 통신, 유속 측정 등 다방면에서 해양관측에 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 해저면 계류형태의 압력측정 전도음향측심기(Pressure-recording Inverted Echo Sounder, PIES)를 활용하여 관측 가능한 해양물리현상(해류, 중규모 소용돌이, 내부파, 해면고도변화 등)에 대해 서술한다. 이어서 PIES장비 회수 없이 음향을 활용한 원격 자료획득법, 자동 자료전송 팝업 부표(Pop-up Data Shuttle, PDS)를 활용한 최신의 원격 자동자료획득법을 소개하고, 향후 실현 가능한 (준)실시간 원격 자동자료획득법을 덧붙인다.

  • This study describes the real-time measurement system which consist of multi-components load cell and linear motor. Operationg and data acquisition is controlled by PC. Multi-components load cell measures simultaneously the vertical force Fz and frictional force Fx when contactors move on sample surface. Linear motor is used to translate with constant speed without vibration. The frictional coefficient is calculated by Matlab$^{TM}$. The frictional coefficients between Al. plates. and fingertip and fabrics are measured.d.

  • We have developed algorithm for calculating tumor dose from transmission dose in radiation therapy. Using data acquisition card and LabVIEW programming language, we acquired the signal from 9 ion chambers, processed and displayed it in real time. And we also developed GUI(Graphic User Interface) for system operation.

  • We will introduce a new web-based knowledge management system in progress, in which XML-based web information extraction and our structuring knowledge technologies are combined using ontology-based natural language processing. Our aim is to provide efficient access to heterogeneous information on the web, enabling users to use a wide range of textual and non textual resources, such as newspapers and databases, effortlessly to accelerate knowledge acquisition from such knowledge sources. In order to achieve the efficient knowledge management, we propose at first an XML-based Web information extraction which contains a sophisticated control language to extract data from Web pages. With using standard XML Technologies in the system, our approach can make extracting information easy because of a) detaching rules from processing, b) restricting target for processing, c) Interactive operations for developing extracting rules. Then we propose a structuring knowledge system which includes, 1) automatic term recognition, 2) domain oriented automatic term clustering, 3) similarity-based document retrieval, 4) real-time document clustering, and 5) visualization. The system supports integrating different types of databases (textual and non textual) and retrieving different types of information simultaneously. Through further explanation to the specification and the implementation technique of the system, we will demonstrate how the system can accelerate knowledge acquisition on the Web even for novice users of the field.

  • 일반적으로 대형 지붕구조나 초대형 보와 같은 대형 구조물을 양중하는 방법은 유압잭이 이용된다. 또한, 양중시 안전을 위하여 CCTV를 이용하여 각 포인트에 설치된 줄자를 모니터링하여 레벨체크를 수행하고, 상대 변위가 기설정된 한계를 벗어나면 유압잭을 정지하고 상대변위를 수동으로 조정한 후에 양중을 수행하였다. 그러나, 이러한 종래의 양중 방법은 CCTV를 육안으로 확인하여 레벨을 체크하기 때문에 정확도가 높지 않았고, 실시간 계측은 현실적으로 불가능하였다. 이러한 문제를 개선하기 위하여 자동추적형 토탈스테이션, 레이저 거리계, 데이터로거, 변형도게이지 등을 이용하여 대형 구조물 양중시 적용할 수 있는 계측-평가 시스템 구축하였다. 시스템을 구현하기 위한 프로그램 작성 후 실험실에서 시연을 통해 계측-평가 데이터의 정확성 및 활용 가능성을 평가하였으며, 안정적인 데이터 취득 및 연산을 통해 적용성이 검증되었다.

압력센서를 이용한 실시간 앉은 자세 모니터링 시스템 (Real-time Sitting Posture Monitoring System using Pressure Sensor)

  • A Sitting posture is a very important issue for moderns who is mostly sedentary. Also, a wrong sitting posture causes back-pain and spinal disease. Many researchers have been proposed numerous approaches that classifying and monitoring for a sitting posture. In this paper, we proposed a real-time sitting posture monitoring system that was developed to measure pressure distribution in the human body. The proposed system consists of a pressure sensing module (six pressure sensors), data acquisition and processing module, a communication module and a display module for an individual sitting posture monitoring. The developed monitoring system can classify into five sitting postures, such as a correct sitting, sitting on forward inclination, leaning back sitting, sitting with a right leg crossed and a left leg crossed. In addition, when a user deviates from the correct posture, an alarm function is activated. We selected two kinds of chairs, one is rigid material and fixed form, the other one is a soft material and can adjust the height of a chair. In the experiments, we observed appearance changes for subjects in consequence of a comparison between before the correction of posture and after the correction of posture when using the proposed system. The data from twenty four subjects has been classified with a proposed classifier, achieving an average accuracy of 83.85%, 94.56% when the rigid chair and the soft chair, respectively.

뇌전증 경련 억제를 위한 실시간 폐루프 신경 자극 시스템 설계 (Development of Real-time Closed-loop Neurostimulation System for Epileptic Seizure Suppression)

  • Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disease which produces repeated seizures. Over 30% of epileptic patients cannot be treated with anti-epileptic drugs, and surgical resection may cause loss of brain functions. Seizure suppression by electrical stimulation is currently being investigated as a new treatment method as clinical evidence has shown that electrical stimulation to brain could suppress seizure activity. In this paper, design of a real-time closed-loop neurostimulation system for epileptic seizure suppression is presented. The system records neural signals, detects seizures and delivers electrical stimulation. The system consists of a 6-channel electrode, front-end amplifiers, a data acquisition board by National Instruments, and a neurostimulator and Generic Osorio-Frei algorithm was applied for seizure detection. The algorithm was verified through simulation using electroencephalogram data, and the operation of whole system was verified through simulation and in- vivo test.

  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV) system is useful for evaluating the balance in homeostasis of autonomic nervous system. In this study, we implement HRV monitoring system by performing real time FFT spectrum analysis on R-R intervals data acquired from Electrocardiogram (ECG) acquisition and transmitting the data by RF communication module.
