  • We could confirm through this study that in the company which has secured its agility in an information technology dimension, a process dimension and an organization behavior dimension as a real time enterprise, various agility competences of that company are used more effectively for productivity Improvement, development on new products and customer satisfaction. Therefore, based on these determinant factors, it has been proved that an individually differentiated investment of technical and organizational resources for development and innovation of new products has contributed affirmatively to get a more efficient enterprise performance : and, in this point, it is verified again that the agility secured through a conversion toward the real time enterprise (RTE) is a more effective plan to increase the enterprise performance.

  • In this paper, the real time characteristics analyzing system is proposed to analyze characteristics of inverter. The system is consisted of DSP unit and personal computer. Conventionally, power conversion system is designed by the load and the use. And control characteristics for the designed power conversion system is evaluated by the control input. In order to study of control methods, power conversion system is required for a study of control methods and observed system is required for a analyzing of the inverter. Inverter system is consisted to evaluate for proposed real time characteristics analyzing system. And induction motor is driven by control input that is manufactured by personal computer. Output of inverter and control characteristics is variously analyzed.

  • Cost effective simulation schemes for Wind Power Generation Systems (WPGS) considering wind turbine types, generators and load capacities have been strongly investigated by researchers. As an alternative, a true weather condition based simulation method using a real-time digital simulator (RTDS) is experimented in this paper for the online real-time simulation of the WPGS. A stand-alone WPGS is, especially, simulated using the Simulation method for WPGS using Real Weather conditions (SWRW) in this work. The characteristic equation of a wind turbine is implemented in the RTDS and a RTDS model component that can be used to represent any type of wind turbine in the simulations is also established. The actual data related to weather conditions are interfaced directly to the RTDS for the purpose of online real-time simulation of the stand-alone WPGS. The outcomes of the simulation demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed simulation scheme. The results also signify that the cost effective verification of efficiency and stability for the WPGS is possible by the proposed real-time simulation method.

  • Hardware realization of a digital 2-D homomorphic filter for real time contrast enhancement of video signal is presented. In homomorphic filter, logarithmic and exponential conversion used the memory lookup table method and because the hardware is implemented by multiplierless TTL devices, it can be designed to specific IC. The contrast gain can be controlled externally and the transfer function of homomorphic filter can be easily varied by the change of lookup table memory data.

Development of a variable resistance-capacitance model with time delay for urea-SCR system

  • Experimental research shows that the nitric oxides ($NO_X$) concentration track at the outlet of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst with a transient variation of Adblue dosage has a time delay and it features a characteristic of resistance-capacitance (RC). The phenomenon brings obstacles to get the simultaneously $NO_X$ expected to be reduced and equi-molar ammonia available to SCR reaction, which finally inhibits $NO_X$ conversion efficiency. Generally, engine loads change frequently, which triggers a rapid changing of Adblue dosage, and it aggravates the air quality that are caused by $NO_X$ emission and ammonia slip. In order to increase the conversion efficiency of $NO_X$ and avoid secondary pollution, the paper gives a comprehensive analysis of the SCR system and tells readers the key factors that affect time delay and RC characteristics. Accordingly, a map of time delay is established and a solution method for time constant and proportional constant is carried out. Finally, the paper accurately describes the input-output state relation of SCR system by using "variable RC model with time delay". The model can be used for a real-time correction of Adblue dosage, which can increase the conversion efficiency of $NO_X$ in SCR system and avoid secondary pollution forming. Obviously, the results of the work discover an avenue for the SCR control strategy.

  • This paper focuses on a real-time hardware processing by implementing the ARM Cortex-M4 based embedded system, using a conversion algorithm from a muscular sense to both visual and auditory elements, which recognizes rotations of a human body, directional changes and motion amounts out of human senses. As an input method of muscular sense, AHRS(Attitude Heading Reference System) was used to acquire roll, pitch and yaw values in real time. These three input values were converted into three elements of HSI color model such as intensity, hue and saturation, respectively. Final color signals were acquired by converting HSI into RGB color model. In addition, Three input values of muscular sense were converted into three elements of sound such as octave, scale and velocity, which were synthesized to give an output sound using MIDI(Musical Instrument Digital Interface). The analysis results of both output color and sound signals revealed that input signals of muscular sense were correctly converted into both color and sound in real time by the proposed conversion method.

  • This paper presents the stereoscopic conversion of flame images. The stereoscopic conversion is a technology that generates left and right images from a monoscopic image. Even though many conversion methods have been introduced and commercialized so far, the processing of flame images is relatively few. Such conventional methods are effectively used either real-time or off-line. However, the application of such schemes to special-effect images such as flame is hard to be applied. The proposed method is designed to convert a flame image into a stereoscopic image. Depth map of flame regions are produced based on the analysis of color models of flames. Experimental results tested on diverse flame image sets validates the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • As the development environment is changing with the development of information communication technology, the systems that were used by each service became used with integration. In the process of integrating from existing legacy systems to new system, it should be smoothly integrated or shared, however, it cannot help holding existing technology or component due to significant cost burden for conversion. In this paper, it was not only classified by types with analyzing the various elements that make up legacy system but an approach and monitoring system were developed to each type. After System application results, data's information generated in each process is provided to other system in real time, so that it has not only secured the work efficiency and reliability but also it is made possible by integrating data in various formats for efficient data management, rapid search and tracking to history. With real-time monitoring system developed in this study, It can be very useful in a variety of industries which require real-time monitoring of distributed legacy system data.

  • A watermarking for copyright protection of digital contents for broadcasting have to be made for a real-time system. In this paper, we propose a real-time video watermarking system which is hardware-based watermarking system of SD/HD (standard definition/high definition) video with the STRATIX FPGA device from ALTERA. There was little visual artifact due to watermarking in subjective quality evaluation between the original video and the watermarked one in our experiment. Embedded watermark was extracted after robustness testscalled natural video attacks such as A/D (analog/digital) conversion. Our implemented watermarking hardware system can be useful in movie production and broadcasting companies that requires real-time contents protection systems.

  • A electric power conversion system in a pumped storage power plant is important equipment for converting electric motor kinetic energy into electric power. A electric power conversion monitoring system consists of high voltage thyristor firing equipment, fault detection module, data gathering module, real time data processing equipment and man machine interface system. This paper describes electric power conversion system overview, the developed SFC monitoring system configuration including system characteristics, and successful application result to San-Cheong pumped storage power plant.
