Development of a Cash Flow Forecasting Model for Housing Construction (공동주택 공사의 현금흐름 예측 모델 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Many construction companies are simultaneously carrying out numerous projects in the housing construction industry. It is essential to accurately forecast the cash flow of a project through optimal process management and resource input in order to manage funds rationally and enhance the competitiveness of a company. Current cash flow forecasting methods offer lower accuracy due to a large gap between the revenue and expenditure element. Expenditure elements depends on the real-time changing actual cost for work performed. This research survey was conducted on the actual state of construction management of K company to investigate the problems of cash flow forecasting. To achieve this, the work process and construction management system were integrated to improve the cost management system of K company. To accurately forecast the cash flow of a project, revenue and expenditure elements were displayed in the total cash flow forecast window. This research is expected to assist in the implementation of a system of cash flow forecasting on housing construction by excluding negative elements of revenue and expenditure.

  • Financial institutions keep putting efforts to filling cash into ATMs and branches in order to provide customers with better service. This kind of job usually required an automobile unit to be done, and financial institutions employee perform this task directly or sourcing out to professional security service companies. However, the job has been of ten a target of criminals because it deals with cash. In fact, since 2003, there were several cash truck robberies occurred. This circumstances made the public be aware of the necessity of creative research and the strict management of financial institutions and security companies. However, the existing studies on security service of cash delivery suggest only how to improve the job legally and in operation, and the technological aspect of the improving way has not been studied. Therefore, this study aimed at suggesting an improvement the security service of cash delivery using real-time binary CDMA monitoring for providing better safety service to customers.

  • As science and technology infiltrates every aspects of modern society in terms of economic and social growth and development, funding for research and development (R&D) is growing rapidly. Republic of Korea is not an exception in this trend and the R&D funding in Korea has been grown about 10% every year, recently. However, as the scope and size of funding grows exponentially, need for monitoring and managing these R&D projects becoming more and more imminent. Though different types of project management systems were developed by a variety of agencies and departments and used in monitoring and managing, these systems were developed as standalone silo type systems. These systems are not connected to each other while the same researchers may involved in different projects across agencies and department. Also, these management systems are not linked to the banking systems in which real transactions of funding occurs, such as cost reimbursement and financial audit of each R&D accounts. Historically, a few fraud and malappropriation cases were found and indicted. However, as the number of these incidents grows along with the growth of R&D funding, a large scale integration/linking of project management systems and banking systems. Realizing the importance of systems integration among agencies as well as with the banking systems, situational requirements analyses were conducted concerning the current state of R&D management system. As a results, a Real-time Case Management System (RCMS) was proposed as a solution to current problems. In this paper, the collected systems requirements were documents with analyses of the situation, the architecture of the integrated systems with more user-friendly technological alternatives. This large scale linkage requires interface standardization as well as modularization of interfaces. Proposed systems architecture is introduced here with technical details of Jex Framework used,, followed by resulting technical and economic performance of the Realtime Cashflow Management System (RCMS).

Artificial intelligence-based chatbot system for use in RCMS (RCMS에 활용하기 위한 인공지능 기반 챗봇 시스템)

  • Artificial intelligence technology is widely used in industrial and smart home fields such as manufacturing robots, artificial intelligence speakers, and robot vacuum cleaners. In this paper, we designed and implemented a 1:1 chatbot system based on artificial intelligence for use in RCMS (Real-time Cash Management System). The RCMS chatbot implemented in this paper was constructed with a total of 210 query scenarios in nine areas, including research expenses and system usage, based on 13,500 questions and answers from existing online bulletin boards. The chatbot is expected to solve the problem of insufficient number of counselors and to increase user satisfaction by responding to the researcher's inquiries after working hours, and the recommendation service for the cost of use, which had the most inquiries from researchers, reduces the number of consultations. It is expected to improve the quality of answers to other counseling inquiries.

  • Under traditional analysis of the capital budgeting, NPV, it is assumed that management cannot react to deviation from the expected scenario of cash flow at the time of evaluation. In practice, however, it is less likely that the expected scenario will come true when new information arrives and uncertainty is resolved. Uncertainty and risk can be influenced through 'managerial flexibility', which becomes a central instrument for value creation. Real option framework including option to defer, option for staged investment, option to alter, option to abandon, option to switch, etc. takes this managerial flexibility into account. Therefore, it is more appropriate to use real option method to evaluate the project than the traditional DCF(discounted cash flow) tool if the firm has high volatility of the expected returns.

  • The concept, means, value chain, the persons concerned and possible issues of game item trading in cash are analyzed in this study. The trading is characterized by not only being performed with its own unique business model but also causing issues related to delicate social problems, such as digital contents distribution, work place and gambling. The way of game item trading in cash and its value chain have been changed with game market growth for the past years. I analyzed in this article the new concept of game item trading in cash that is different from the past. Also, analysis on several issues related to game item trading in cash is conducted.

This Development was Defined about the Importance of WMS in SCM Environment. The Criterion of Valuation is Normally Measured Time between Taking a Order Receive and Bringing the Items to Customer. The Decreasing Move Time of Order Picker in Warehouse is Directly Influence to the Job Execution. So, this Research is Defined about the Optimized Route of Order Picker and Suggests Algorithm. To do this, Past Algorithm is Studied. It's Easy to Introduce and this Study is Looking for Method about the Noticing of Order Picker. The Algorithm will Improve to be Adapt to Standard Process System.

  • A firm decides to go to the project based on its investment analysis. However, the cash flows generated from the real project can not be always coincident with what expected as it follows uncertain behavior and the asymmetric payoff caused by the managerial flexibilities involved in the real asset affects the project value. Amongst various managerial flexibilities entailed in most of the real assets, although investment delay has been known to enhance the project value thanks to its ability to provide new market information to management, the related research to select the time to invest have been just few. Therefore, this research aims to show the theoretical framework to decide when to invest reflecting the behaviors of increasing project value and loss recovery cost due to investment delay with option pricing, related financial economic, and variational theories.

Disapproval Judgment System of Research Fund Execution Details Based on Artificial Intelligence

  • In this paper, we propose an intelligent research fund management system that applies artificial intelligence technology to an integrated research fund management system. By defining research fund management rules as work rules, a detection model learned using deep learning is designed, through which the disapproval status is presented for each research fund usage history. The disapproval detection system of the RCMS implemented in this study predicts whether the newly registered usage details are recognized or disapproved using an artificial intelligence model designed based on the use of an 8.87 million research fund registered in the RCMS. In addition, the item-detail recommendation system described herein presents the usage details according to the usage history item newly registered by the artificial intelligence model through a correlation between the research cost usage details and the item itself. The accuracy of the recommendation was shown to be 97.21%.

  • Economic value of a certain technology is of great interest and importance in a wide variety of investment circumstances. These vary from companies considering investing in R&D projects, to venture capitalists funding start-up companies. However, such valuation is extremely difficult in any case, and the cost of failure can be very high. Many techniques have been proposed to assist managers facing this issue, from traditional discounted cash flow analysis to more recent methods based on real options. In the meantime, the discounted cash flow method has limitations in applying the valuation of technology. At the same time, there have been various solutions to overcome theoretical problems of the method. Real options have been thought as a solution. However, there are another problems in using them in real world. This paper reviews the previous studies on the valuation of technology in several aspects, discusses the practicability of the various methods available, and explore the application of a hybrid model, which aims to make these rather aore the ideas more accessible to practicing managers.
