강거더교의 재하시험을 통한 내하력평가 (Rating of A Plate Girder Bridge through Load Test)

  • This paper presents the results of the load test performed on a steel plate girder bridge and suggests the procedure of bridge rating through the load test. In general the girder bridge resist the loads as a complex three-dimensional structural system. Therefore the test results are analyzed for the longitudinal and the transverse response characteristics. The bending moments based on the beam analysis are compared with the measured values for longitudinal response characteristics. The lateral load distribution characteristics are assessed based on the load test results for transverse response characteristics. Also the rating of the test bridge is performed by using the suggested rating procedure which considers the actual response characteristics of the bridge. The suggested procedure can be used for understanding of actual response characteristics and evaluating load carrying capacity of the steel plate girder bridge.

Bridge load testing and rating: a case study through wireless sensing technology

  • In this paper, a wireless sensing system for structural field evaluation and rating of bridges is presented. The system uses a wireless platform integrated with traditional analogue sensors including strain gages and accelerometers along with the operating software. A wireless vehicle position indicator is developed using a tri-axial accelerometer node that is mounted on the test vehicle, and was used for identifying the moving truck position during load testing. The developed software is capable of calculating the theoretical bridge rating factors based on AASHTO Load and Resistance Factor Rating specifications, and automatically produces the field adjustment factor through load testing data. The sensing system along with its application in bridge deck rating was successfully demonstrated on the Evansville Bridge in West Virginia. A finite element model was conducted for the test bridge, and was used to calculate the load distribution factors of the bridge deck after verifying its results using field data. A confirmation field test was conducted on the same bridge and its results varied by only 3% from the first test. The proposed wireless sensing system proved to be a reliable tool that overcomes multiple drawbacks of conventional wired sensing platforms designed for structural load evaluation of bridges.

교량의 내하력 평가 및 농로교의 하중시험 (Load Rating of Bridges and Load Test of Agricultural Slab Bridge)

  • 20, 30 년 전 시골지역에 건설된 교량들은 과도한 교통량의 증가에 따른 초과하중을 지탱해야한다. 이러한 교량들에 대해서 보수 보강이나, 교량의 교체가 필요하다. 고가의 보수 보강을 피하기 위해는, 현재 교량의 내하력을 정확히 알아야한다. 내하력 평가자들은 교량의 내하력을 평가하기 위해 허용응력법, 강도설계법, 그리고 하중저항계수법등을 사용한다. 본 연구에서는, 내하력 평가방법을 설명하고, 문헌조사를 통해 교량의 하중실험 자료의 이용에 대하여 설명한다. 그리고, 30년전에 시골지역에 건설된 교량에 대해 하중실험을 하였다. 시험자료로 부터, 교량의 교체를 대신한 새로운 보수보강 방법이 제시되었다.

  • 현재교량의 절반 가량이 성능이 저하되어 보수 보강이 요구되고 있는 실정인데 이들 교량은 제 기능을 발휘하지 못하거나 소요강도에 미달되는 경우가 있다. 필요이상의 보수보강비용 또는 재거설의 비용의 투입을 피하기 위하여 현재 상태의 내하력이 정확히 평가되어져야 한다. 교량의 평가방법으로 허용응력 평가법 (ASD) 하중계수평가법 (LFD) 하중저항계수평가법 (LRFD) 등이 현재 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 허용응력 평가법 (ASD) 하중계수평가법 (LFD) 하중저항계수평가법 (LRFD)등이 비교되고 실제 교량에 적용된 하중실험의 자료들을 모았다. 그리고 하중실험의 교량평가 결과와 이론에 의한 교량평가 결과의 차이점에 대해 연구하였다. 그리고 기존에 존재하는 교량에 ASD, LFD 그리고 LRFD 방법을 적용 비교하여 어느 수준에 해당되는지를 비교 검토하였다.

Load-Carrying Capacity Assessment of Deteriorated Rural Bridge

  • Most of rural bridges have passed 30 years of age since they were built, which have to support unexpected overload caused by changed design load and excessive amount of transportation. For these rural bridges, repairs and replacements are needed. Even though there have been attempt to estimate the safety of existing bridges deteriorated with major defects, those approaches must rely on the observable damage and subsequent decisions are made subjectively. To avoid the high cost of rehabilitation, the bridge rating must correctly represent the present load-carrying capacity. Rating engineers use a methods such as Allowable Stress Design (ASD), Load Factor Design (LFD), and Load Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) to evaluate the bridge load carrying capacity. In this paper, the load rating methods are introduced, and it is illustrated how to use the load test data from literature survey. Load test is conducted to the bridge that was built 30 years ago in rural area. From load test results, new maintenance method is suggested instead of the bridge replacement.

공동주택 중량바닥충격음 현장측정을 통한 차단성능 평가방법의 비교검토 연구 (A Study of Rating Method Comparison for Heavy-weight Floor Impact Sound based on the Field Test Data in Apartment Houses)

  • Heavy-weight floor impact sound insulation performance criteria have been effective in Korea since the regulation which enforces the standard thickness of slabs in domestic apartment houses should be constructed by 180mm or 210mm was adopted. But every slab does not satisfy this criteria. So, review on existing floor impact sound insulation performance is needed to propose some basic materials for the revision of rating method. To achieve this goal, 63 field test data were checked and analyzed. The results of this study are as follows ; 1) The 210mm thickness slab has the characteristics of deeper level decrease above 120Hz frequency band than that of 180mm thickness slab's. 2) 27.5% of 180mm thickness slabs were satisfied the floor impact sound insulation performance criteria, whereas 65% of 210mm slabs do. 3) Among the main contribution frequency bands for the determination of single rating index, 63Hz was shown as the most contributive band in 210mm slabs. 4) In comparison of single rating index between bang machine test and ball test. there is a big difference between the two and this phenomenon is frequent in 210mm slab results. 5) Rating Methods for the analysis of cross-correlation between the amount of rating, the usefulness of the arithmetic mean could be secured.

파킨슨병 환자에서 낙상군과 비낙상군에 대한 버그균형검사의 타당도 (Validating the Berg Balance Test for Patients with Parkinson's Disease)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the criterion-related validity of the Berg balance test between fallers and non-fallers in individuals with Parkinson's disease. Methods : Thirty-one patients were recruited for this study. Their initial diagnosis had been made on average $30.1{\pm}10.1$ years earlier. Score of Berg balance test showed significant correlations with indicators of motor functioning and daily living capacity. Berg balance test score was inversely associated with the unified Parkinson's disease rating scale-motor score, and Schwab and England activities of daily living rating scale. Results : In all 3 correlations, lower scores on the Berg balance test correlated with higher unified Parkinson's disease rating scale-motor scores. Results support the criterion-related validity of the Berg balance test. Conclusion : Our research results agree with other published research in suggesting that the Berg balance test may be used as a screening tool and ongoing assessment tool for patients with Parkinson's disease.

한국 A급, B급 1단위 화재 시험시 발생하는 일산화탄소 등의 정량적 연구 (A Study on Carbon Monoxide and Other Gases During the Fire Test (A-class:1st Rating & B-class:1st Rating))

  • 한국기준 표준화된 A급 목재 및 B급 유류 화재 시험에서 룸코너시험기(RCT)를 사용하여 연소유독가스의 생성을 정량적으로 알아보고, 시험자들에게 미치는 인체유해성을 확인하였다. 그 결과 A급의 경우 유독가스가 시험자들에 직접적으로 노출되는 초기 3분 동안, 분당호흡량(RMV) 2단계에서 40% 카복시헤모글로빈(COHb)가 넘어가는 경우는 A급 9, 10단위에 해당하며, RMV 3단계에서 A급 5~10 단위까지가 모두 40% COHb을 초과함을 확인하였다. 한편 B급의 경우 유독가스가 시험자에게 직접 노출되는 초기 1분 동안은 A급에 비해 다소 안전하나 총 연소시간에는 RMV 3단계에서 B급 16~20 단위까지가 모두 20% COHb을 초과한 수치가 나옴을 확인하였다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 시험자들은 소화시험의 단위수를 고려하여 자급 호흡보조기나 그와 동일한 기능의 장치를 착용하는 규정을 제안한다.

  • Main transformer's integrity assessment in nuclear power plant is estimated by the electrical test of electrical core and wire and the chemical analysis of insulating oil. Mechanical test or analysis has not been so far. So this study makes it with the vibration velocity rating. The vibration velocity rating in main transformer which is based on the real data of vibration velocity measurement under operating and other machinery vibration code such as ISO code is renewed.

작업관리를 위한 엑셀 기반의 간이 수행도 평가 훈련 툴 개발 (Development of a Simple Excel-Based Performance Rating Training Tool for Motion and Time Study)

  • The purpose of this thesis is to develop a performance rating training tool for the time and motion study. It is widely recognized that rating training tools based on films were made several decades ago and introduced to Korea. However, to the best of our knowledge, those films are not used for rating training in Korea any more. Furthermore, although rating is still important method for the efficient operational management study, it is briefly mentioned without any training or exercise. In this paper, we propose a simple rating training tool based on Excel with VBA. The mottoes of our development are the ease of acquisition and trainees' motivation. Test results show that trainees can obtain the concept of rating and the ability of accurate and consistent rating as they play a computer game sitting in front of the personal computer.
