  • An IKPCA-ELM-based intrusion detection method is developed to address the problem of the low accuracy and slow speed of intrusion detection caused by redundancies and high dimensions of data in the network. First, in order to reduce the effects of uneven sample distribution and sample attribute differences on the extraction of KPCA features, the sample attribute mean and mean square error are introduced into the Gaussian radial basis function and polynomial kernel function respectively, and the two improved kernel functions are combined to construct a hybrid kernel function. Second, an improved particle swarm optimization (IPSO) algorithm is proposed to determine the optimal hybrid kernel function for improved kernel principal component analysis (IKPCA). Finally, IKPCA is conducted to complete feature extraction, and an extreme learning machine (ELM) is applied to classify common attack type detection. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the constructed hybrid kernel function. Compared with other intrusion detection methods, IKPCA-ELM not only ensures high accuracy rates, but also reduces the detection time and false alarm rate, especially reducing the false alarm rate of small sample attacks.

  • Background: The oxygen uptake efficiency slope (OUES) is the most important index for accurately measuring cardiopulmonary function in patients with acute ischemic heart disease. However, the relationship between the OUES variables and important cardiopulmonary function parameters remain unelucidated for patients with acute ischemic heart disease, which accounts for the largest proportion of heart disease. Objects: The present cross sectional clinical study aimed to determine the multiple relationships among the cardiopulmonary function variables mentioned above in adults with acute ischemic heart disease. Methods: A convenience sample of 110 adult inpatients with ischemic heart disease (age: 57.4 ± 11.3 y; 95 males, 15 females) was enrolled at the hospital cardiac rehabilitation center. The correlation between the important cardiopulmonary function indicators including peak oxygen uptake (VO2 peak), minute ventilation (VE)/carbon dioxide production (VCO2) slope, heart rate recovery (HRR), and ejection fraction (EF) and OUES was confirmed. Results: This study showed that OUES was highly correlated with VO2 peak, VE/VCO2 slope, and HRR parameters. Conclusion: The OUES can be used as an accurate indicator for cardiopulmonary function. There are other factors that influence aerobic capacity besides EF, so there is no correlation with EF. Effective cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs can be designed based on OUES during submaximal exercise in patients with acute ischemic heart disease.

  • We define progressive tax rate functions, study their properties, and describe some smooth models. The key requirement, defining the progressive nature of the taxation model, is that the progressive tax rate functions should have infinite contact with the zero function at the origin, in order to care the poor. In constructing a wide array of such functions, assisting functions are introduced.

  • In this paper, we consider general Beta operators, which is a general sequence of integral type operators including Beta function. We study the King type Beta operators which preserves the third test function $x^2$. We obtain some approximation properties, which include rate of convergence and statistical convergence. Finally, we show how to reach best estimation by these operators.

  • We applies Molecular Dynamics simulation technics to a system of Lennard-Jones potential interacting Argon liquid to study shear flow behavior. The thermodynamic state of the system is .rho.=35.54 Kg, mole/m$^{3}$, T=86.5.deg. K which is the triple point of Argon liquid. We applies shear rate : .epsilon.=9.26*10$^{9}$ 1/sec in the system. We find the response function, shear viscosity changes, and shear rate build-up as a function of time. We also find the thermal conductivity in a soft-sphere system.

  • We studied the trend change of failure rate function and uncertainty of residual life function in terms of location of their trend change points. It is shown that the trend change of uncertainty of residual life takes place before the failure rate changes its trend. Like DIFR(IDFR) does not necessary implies IDMRL(DIMRL), we find the fact that DIFR(IDFR) does not always imply IDURL(DIURL) under certain conditions, through the exponentiated-weibull distribution.

  • The analysis model is the infinite body consisted of power law creep material containing a rigid inclusion with line crack shape subjected to the arbitrarily directional stress on an infinite boundary. The crack analysis is performed using the complex pseudo-stress function. The strain rate intensity factor is determined in the closed form as new fracture mechanics parmeter which represents the magnitudes of stress and strain rate near the tip in power law creep material.

  • It is difficult to determine the feeding rate of coagulant in the water treatment plant, due to nonlinearity, multivariables and slow response characteristics, etc. To deal with this difficulty, the neuro-fuzzy system and the genetic-fuzzy system were used in determining the feeding rate of the coagulant. The fuzzy system is excellently robust in multi-variables and nonlinear problems. Therefore it uses basic algorithm, but it is difficult to construct of the fuzzy parameter such as the rule table and the membership function, Therefore we made the neuro-fuzzy system and the genetic-fuzzy system with the fusion of learning algorithms and compared the performance of the two fuzzy systems. To apply these algorithms, we made the rule table, membership function from the actual operation data of the water treatment plant. We determined optimized feeding rate of coagulant using the fuzzy operation, and also compared ...

  • This paper describes the modeling of the failure rate estimation technique for applying the asset management technique to electric power facilities. There are many modeling techniques to estimate the failure rate. In this paper, the characteristics of the normal distribution, exponential distribution, weibull distribution, and piecewise linear functions are discussed. When evaluating reliability, the evaluation may be less meaningful if the sample data is insufficient. Therefore, Weibull distribution and piecewise linear function are adopted as the most suitable functions for estimating the failure rate of power facilities and the resulting failure rate function is derived.

  • This paper investigates the effect of material properties on the formability of sheet metals based on the Marciniak-Kuczynski model (M-K model). The hardening behavior of the material is modeled as the Hollomon model with the strain rate effect. The yield surfaces are constructed with Hosford79 yield function. The material properties considered in this study include the R-value, the strain hardening exponent, the strain rate hardening exponent, and the crystal structure of the material. The effect of the crystal structure on formability is roughly expressed as the change of the yield surface by varying the value of the exponent in Hosford79 yield function. Results show that the R-value affects neither the magnitude nor the shape of right hand side of forming limit diagrams (FLDs). Higher strain hardening exponent and higher strain rate hardening exponent improve the formability of sheet metals because they stabilize the forming processes.
