트랙좌표계를 이용한 철도차량의 동역학 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dynamic Analysis of Railway Vehicle by Using Track Coordinate System)

  • Rail geometries such as cant, grade and curvature can be easily represented by means of a track coordinate system. In this analysis, in order to derive a dynamic and constraint equation of a wheelset, the track coordinate system is used as an intermediate stage. Dynamic and constraint equations of railway vehicle bodies except the wheelset are written in the Cartesian coordinate system as a conventional method. Therefore, whole dynamic equations of a railway vehicle are derived by combining wheelset dynamic equations and dynamic equations of railway vehicle bodies. Constraint equations and constraint Jacobians are newly derived for the track coordinate system. A process for numerical analysis is suggested for the derived dynamic and constraint equations of a railway vehicle. The proposed dynamic analysis of a railway vehicle is validated by comparison against results obtained from VI-RAIL analysis.

  • 기존 궤도특수차는 디젤유를 사용하기 때문에 도시철도 지하환경을 오염시키고 유해한 배기가스가 인체에 악영향을 준다. 따라서 경제성이 우수한 친환경적인 하이브리드형 궤도특수차를 개발하기 위해 이에 따른 궤도특수차의 주행동력장치에 대한 설계조건을 규명하고자 한다.

  • Automatic Train Stop (ATS) is a device that automatically stops or decelerates a train when the train exceeds the permitted speed limits or violates the signal regulations. The railway signaling system has been evolved to an automatic train control system (ATC), and is being developed into Distance-to-Go and Communication Based on Train Control (CBTC). In spite of that, the ATS system is currently being operated in Seoul Metro (line 1 and 2) and most of railway lines in Korea as well as overseas. In this study, we presents the technical methodology to prevent human errors in order to secure the safety in operation of the ATS system.

  • Variable-gauge systems can be used for the fast and safe transportation in the railways with different gauges instead of transshipment or bogie-changing. The system will be necessary to connect the trans-Korean railway with the transcontinental railway effectively. In this paper, searches of patent information about variable-gauge system are conducted and the patent maps are analyzed to seize the overall image and trend of the technology field. The results can be a reference for determining the development direction of the variable-gauge system suitable in the north-east asian railway networks.

Study on Soft-Switching Transformers Inductor Boost Converter for Fuel Cell Powered Railway Vehicle

  • In Korea, there are no instances where a hydrogen fuel cell power generation system has been used in a railway vehicle. Only the basic topology has been studied. In the previous study, conventional converters using a single switch were applied to the fuel cell power generation system. Therefore, current stress on the switch at converter on-off transitions would be large when controlling a large-capacity railway vehicle. In addition, since the input side ripple is also large, there is a problem with a shortening of the lifetime of both the fuel cell power generation system and the inductor. In this paper, a soft-switching transformer inductor boost converter for fuel cell powered railway vehicles was proposed. A technique to reduce both the switching current stress generated during on-off transitions, and the input ripple current flowing in the inductor were studied. The soft-switching TIB converter uses a transformer-type inductor to configure the entire circuit in an interleaved method, and reduces both input current ripple and the current ripple of the inductor and switch.

  • As a mass transportation system, a railway contains potential risks that may result in a high death rate and property losses. Accordingly, Railroad Safety Technology R&D Corps. is adopting the plan of the construction of Railway Safety Test Facilities as a part of the Railway Total Safety Project to enhance the railway safety, and carrying out researches on effective project management methods with Systems Engineering techniques. When a system or a service is realized, such as the Railway Total Safety Project, it needs to be verified by requirements and the process of verification is to check whether customers/stakeholders requirements have been properly transformed into a system or a service. Recently, building the standardized verification system up could be the solution to reduce possible system-failed risks. To support that, we propose the more effectual verification method of constructing the Railway Safety Test Facilities applying the systems engineering tool to the research.

An Evaluative Study of the Operational Safety of High-Speed Railway Stations Based on IEM-Fuzzy Comprehensive Assessment Theory

  • The general situation of system composition and safety management of high-speed railway terminal is investigated and a comprehensive evaluation index system of operational security is established on the basis of railway laws and regulations and previous research results to evaluate the operational security management of the high-speed railway terminal objectively and scientifically. Index weight is determined by introducing interval eigenvalue method (IEM), which aims to reduce the dependence of judgment matrix on consistency test and improve judgment accuracy. Operational security status of a high-speed railway terminal in northwest China is analyzed using the traditional model of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, and a general technique idea and references for the operational security evaluation of the high-speed railway terminal are provided. IEM is introduced to determine the weight of each index, overcomes shortcomings of traditional analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method, and improves the accuracy and scientificity of the comprehensive evaluation. Risk factors, such as terrorist attacks, bad weather, and building fires, are intentionally avoided in the selection of evaluation indicators due to the complexity of risk factors in the operation of high-speed railway passenger stations and limitation of the length of the paper. However, such risk factors should be considered in the follow-up studies.

도시철도 운전방식에 따른 승차감 측정 및 분석 (Measurement and Analysis of Ride Quality according to Driving Type in Urban Railway)

  • 철도는 친환경 요소를 두루 갖춘 최첨단 교통수단으로 주목받고 있을 뿐만 아니라 더 나아가 다른 교통수단과의 경쟁에서 우위를 차지하기 위해 여객수송의 품질 향상과 운행에너지 절감을 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하지만, 도시철도에서는 불특정 다수의 승객에게 서비스하는 업종 특성상 운송효율과 에너지절감을 위한 연구가 대부분이고 여객수송의 품질 향상에 대한 연구는 미비하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여객 수송의 품질향상 측면으로 접근하여 도시철도 노선에서 일반열차와 급행열차의 자 수동 운전방식의 3차원 진동 횡가속도를 다양한 환경에서 측정하고, 이 측정된 3차원 진동 횡가속도와 국제철도협회에서 제시한 UIC513R의 통계적인 기법을 기반으로 승차감을 도출하고 비교 분석하였다.

  • Study of Lunar exploration is progressed and manned lunar exploration is planned. In order to explore in Lunar, we need habitat to stay for a long time and system that mine, classify and transport materials. Lunar has dust that is very light-tiny. That is on the air for a long time so there are problems to adject transportation system such as vehicle. However, it can solve the problem to use pipe transportation system. This transportation system help materials move continually and is more effective than other transportation system such as train or vehicle. For those positive points, some experts studied about tube transportation systems. I introduce these system and find out factors that can be used in Lunar regolith transportation system. I suggest Lunar regolith transportation system, using the factors.

영상처리를 이용한 철도 승강장 영역에서의 열차상태 검지방법 (Train detection in railway platform area using image processing technology)

  • 현재 철도 역사의 승객 위험영역과 보안영역 등의 감시를 위해 수십대의 CCTV를 널리 이용하고 있다. 그중에서 가장 빈번한 사고가 발생되는 곳은 승객의 열차 승하차가 이루어지는 승강장 영역이다. 하지만 사고 예방과 신속한 대응을 위해 역무원이 여러 대의 CCTV를 항시 모니터링 하기는 불가능하다. 따라서 위험상황을 자동으로 인지할 수 있는 영상처리 기술을 이용한 승강장 모니터링 시스템이 요구되며, 이를 위해서는 우선적으로 승강장에서의 정확한 열차상태 판단이 필요하다. 본 논문은 비전기반 승강장 모니터링 시스템을 위한 승강장에서의 열차상태에 대한 검지방법을 제안한다. 제안된 검지 방법은 승강장에서의 열차 점유영역을 분석하여 열차의 진입(IN), 진출(OUT), 정지(ON), 없음(OFF)의 4가지 생태를 판별한다. 제안된 검지방법의 성능 평가을 위해 서울메트로 4호선 동작역과 남태령역을 대상으로 열차상태 검지결과를 제시하였다.
