경부선 혼합 열차운용 시뮬레이션 개발에 관한 고찰 (Considerations on the development of Multi-Train Traffic Simulator for KyongBu-Line)

  • The railway system is composed of large scale infrastructures and high-cost trains. For planning and analyzing this kind of complex system, simulation method can be used for efficient tool. In this research, we review basic simulation programming models and present a modeling for the elements of railway system such as rail-line infrastructure, train, time table and operational route. Additionally, some considerations on the development of multi-train traffic simulator for KyongBu-line are discussed.

  • In oder to develope a train system for parcel service of high speed railway, which had been proposed for the operation of a high speed train, its conceptual design was build. Through this system, we are able to expect the fulfillment of customer needs for high speed rail market segments, and enhancement for cost-effective rail network operation of the mixed traffic on infrastructure cost-reduction in national logistics.

윕기반 철도 위험도평가 사고분석 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a Web Based Railway Accident Analysis Program for Risk Assessment)

  • Risk assessment of a railway system should be periodically conducted managing a large amount of accumulating accident/incident data and scenarios, which generally requires enormous time and efforts. Therefore, special information management system is essential for railway risk assessment, where data needed for decisions on managing the railway safety could be promptly supported. The objective of this study is to develop a railway accident analysis program for risk assessment. The program is application running on the web which links railway accident analysts throughout the railway industry to a central database. Data entered, together with associated code tables. is stored on MS-SQL database. The program uses the concepts of accident, safety events, causes, related factors(vehicle, person, infrastructure, tool/equipment), recommendations to bring together the various elements of railway accidents. The program will be useful in finding hazard conditions, accident scenarios, quantitatively assessing the risk, and providing pertinent risk measures, eventually serving to prevent railway accidents and reduce severities of railway accidents.

  • 본 논문은 동력분산식 차세대고속열차가 최고속도 400km/h 이상으로 개발됨에 따라 차량의 최고속도 시험에 대비하여 호남고속철도 건설구간에서 인프라시스템 기술개발이 필요하여 국내에서는 유일하게 현재 호남고속철도 건설구간 중 28km 구간에서 400km/h급 고속철도 인프라를 구축하였다. 또한 계측장비의 설치 및 모니터링 시스템을 설치하여 선로의 지속적인 모니터링이 가능하도록 설계하였다. 이를 통해, 보다 포괄적이며 장기적인 관점에서 통합모니터링의 요구사항과 향후 연구방향을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 정부는 국가공간정보 활용 기반 마련을 위해 1995년부터 국가 GIS (Geographic Information System)사업을 통해 토지, 도로, 지하시설물, 통계 등 다양한 분야의 GIS활용체계를 구축 운영해 오고 있다. 이러한 기반 하에서 공간정보산업에 대한 중요성이 부각됨에 따라, 국토교통부는 "국가공간정보정책 기본계획"과 "국가공간정보정책 시행계획"을 수립하여, 국가교통분야의 공간정보구축 및 제공을 위한 구체적인 방안을 마련하고 있다. 하지만, 타 분야에 비해 철도 및 철도 관련 시설에 대해서는 공간정보가 체계적으로 구축 제공되지 않고 있다. 즉, 국가공간정보 통합DB에서도 볼 수 있듯이 연계 정보로서의 '교통정보'와 행정정보로서의 '교통'항목이 포함되어 있을 뿐 구체적인 철도 및 철도 관련 시설물에 대한 공간정보에 대한 내용은 부재한 상황이다. 이는 철도 및 관련 시설물에 대한 정보구축 및 활용에 관한 법 제도가 미비하여, 실제 구축사업 및 활용방안에 대한 연구가 부재하기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국가공간정보포털의 교통시설 공간정보 DB 구축 동향을 검토하였고, 철도 및 공간정보 관련 법제도를 분석하였으며, 이를 통해 철도 및 관련 시설물의 공간정보 구축 관리 운영 관련 조직설립, 정보 구축 및 관리 관련, 정보 활용관련 법 제도 개선방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 토대로 향후 국가 통합공간 정보 내에 다양한 공간정보를 제공하는데 도모할 것이며, 철도 선로 및 시설물에 대한 통합 시설관리, 진보된 유지보수 시스템 등을 구축할 수 있을 것이다.

철도 인프라 적용 교량형 조립식 모듈의 경량화 설계 (Lightweight Design of a Modular Bridge for Railway Infrastructure Systems)

  • This paper describes a method to design a lightweight modular bridge for a railway infrastructure system. A lightweight design was achieved using the material selection method. Aluminum extrusions and honeycomb sandwich composites were selected as the best materials to reduce the weight of the upper structure of a conventional modular bridge made of carbon-steel material. The structural integrity of the lightweight modular bridge was evaluated under vertical and wind loads. The twisting and bending natural frequencies were also evaluated to investigate its dynamic characteristics. The results showed that the structural integrity and natural frequencies of the lightweight modular bridge, made of aluminum extrusion and sandwich composites, satisfied the design requirements. Moreover, it was found that the weight of the conventional modular bridge made of carbon steel could be reduced by a maximum of 47% using lightweight materials.

도시철도 유지보수체계 표준화 및 정보화에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Standard and Information System for Urban Transit Maintenance)

  • We need to make the standards of maintenance information for urban transit to reduce the cost to maintain the information and to share the information with maintenance workers. It is enable to do systematic maintenance for urban transit by using the information system based on the standardized information. In this paper we propose the major items to standardize and the methods to lay out the standard schemes to enable structured maintenance. We present the 4 items, bill of material, material classification, accident/fault classification, electronic document, to standardize. And we propose how to implement the information system for urban transit based on the standardized information. We describe the implemented information system in two parts; a rolling-stock and an infrastructure part. And also we describe the result of survey to evaluate the system installed at Seoul Metro and Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit.

Development of seismic fragility curves for high-speed railway system using earthquake case histories

  • Investigating damage potential of the railway infrastructure requires either large amount of case histories or in-depth numerical analyses, or both for which large amounts of effort and time are necessary to accomplish thoroughly. Rather than performing comprehensive studies for each damage case, in this study we collect and analyze a case history of the high-speed railway system damaged by the 2004 M6.6 Niigata Chuetsu earthquake for the development of the seismic fragility curve. The development processes are: 1) slice the railway system as 200 m segments and assigned damage levels and intensity measures (IMs) to each segment; 2) calculate probability of damage for a given IM; 3) estimate fragility curves using the maximum likelihood estimation regression method. Among IMs considered for fragility curves, spectral acceleration at 3 second period has the most prediction power for the probability of damage occurrence. Also, viaduct-type structure provides less scattered probability data points resulting in the best-fitted fragility curve, but for the tunnel-type structure data are poorly scattered for which fragility curve fitted is not meaningful. For validation purpose fragility curves developed are applied to the 2016 M7.0 Kumamoto earthquake case history by which another high-speed railway system was damaged. The number of actual damaged segments by the 2016 event is 25, and the number of equivalent damaged segments predicted using fragility curve is 22.21. Both numbers are very similar indicating that the developed fragility curve fits well to the Kumamoto region. Comparing with railway fragility curves from HAZUS, we found that HAZUS fragility curves are more conservative.

철도 상하 분리의 현상과 과제에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Current Status and Issues Pertaining to Vertical Separation between Infrastructure and operation of the Korean Railway)

  • 본 연구는 최근 들어 관심이 높아지고 있는 철도구조개혁과 관련하여 2004년 이후부터 추진되어온 우리나라의 철도구조개혁의 주요성과에 대하여 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 상하 분리의 이론과 유럽 및 일본 등 해외사례 연구를 통해 시사점을 살펴 보았다. 특히 상하 분리를 통한 성과 분석을 중심으로 조사하였으며, 이를 기초로 우리나라에 대한 적용성을 중심으로 살펴 보았다. 또한 우리나라 철도구조개혁방안인 상하분리 정책 목적인 철도사업의 적자해소, 철도투자확대, 운영 효율성향상 등에 대하여 달성여부에 대한 검토와 함께 개선할 점이 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 본 논문을 통해 우리나라 철도정책의 확실한 방향제시와 조화로운 정책수행을 위한 협의체 구성 그리고 투자재원마련의 법적 제도화를 제안하였다.

화물철도 노선별 운송 품목의 경쟁구조에 관한 연구 : 우리나라를 중심으로 (A Study on the Competitive Structure of Transportation Items by Freight Railway Lines: The case of South Korea)

  • The logistics industry is changing with the diversification of demand and related technology development. Thus, the transportation system is also changing to social problems and environmental damage, and the importance of rail freight is increasing with changes in the international logistics environment. This study analyzes railway freight competition structure using freight volume and suggests improving the competitiveness of railroad freight. To achieve the research purpose, this study was conducted using the Hirshmann-Herfindahl Index(HHI) and Location Quotients(LQ) method. As a result, the concentration trend of railway trends has increased from 0.213 to 0.238 during the last 9 years, and LQ analysis has enabled the identification of local competition lines by item. The study result confirmed that policy measures on railway freight system, railway infrastructure construction and railway operation are necessary to enhance railway competitiveness.
