A Study on the Structural Analysis of Curved Two Girder Bridges for AGT System (경량전철용 곡선 2주형 판형교의 적용성에 관한 연구)

  • This research has investigated structural characteristics of curved two girder bridges proposed for AGT system and analyzed the results of the structural analysis of three different modelings for 3 span continuous bridge, each modeled in grillage modeling, simplified 3D modeling, and detailed 3D modeling respectively. The grillage modeling appeared to be somewhat underestimated in deflection and overestimated in rotation with respect to 3D modelings. Also, it is impossible to make a detailed examination of local buckling and details of cross beams, etc. The point that warping effect cannot be considered may cause the structural analysis unsafe, accordingly the structural analysis of curved two girder bridges should be done with 3D modelings.

  • The CWR of the plate girder bridges in non-ballast causes the additional axial force on the rail and the bearing due to the temperature axial force and the interaction between the CWR and bridges. This study shows the remarkable improvement of reducing the axial force of the CWR on the non-ballast bridge, compared to conventional methods. New method, which is differently designed in terms of longitudinal semi-rigid bearing, reduces the axial force on the bearing by making the girder act both directions. This method is applicable to most cases of bridges regardless of the restriction of length, and useful to reduce the abrasion and damage of the track material.

  • Selecting a railroad line requires the comparative evaluation of various elements. As a systematic approach to this selection it will be necessary to apply the VE study and the LCC analysis. This study proposes a methodology for selecting the optimum line of the ralroad using VE-LCC analysis. The VE study is performed by following four steps : Information analysis, Function analysis, Alternative evaluation, and Optimum plan selection. The economics evaluation in VE study is using LCC analysis and Sensitivity analysis. Cost items in LCC analysis are classified into bridge, tunnel, rail, and earthwork. We could select the optimum alte-rnatives considering not only cost elements hut also various evaluation element in VE-LCC analysis.   • This paper presents the rail structure interaction analysis of the elevated viaducts which contains the curved alignments with smallest radius of 300 metre. The aim of this study is to check the compatibility between the track and the curved structure in order to verify the safety of the continuous welded rail track under service conditions. To perform the rail structure interaction analysis, nonlinear static rail structure interaction calculation is implemented. The bridge structures, the rails and the track behaviour are modelled according to the UIC774-3 and the Eurocode prEN1991-2 recommendations. Criteria in Eurocode prEN1991-2 are investigated to check the compatibility between the track and the structure for the rail structure interaction effects.

  • 강철도 플레이트거더교의 경우 일반적으로 레일의 폭보다 거더 사이의 폭이 넓기 때문에 거더에 편심이 작용하게 된다. 이러한 편심 영향으로 거더 내측 상부플랜지에 휨변형이 일어나게 되어, 상부플랜지와 수직보강재 용접이음부에 반복하중에 의한 피로균열이 발생되고 있는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 공용중인 강철도 플레이트거더교를 대상교량으로 하여 공용하중에 대한 구조해석을 실시하였다. 대상교량에 대한 현장계측을 기초로 구조모델링을 검증하였고, 검증된 구조모델링을 사용하여 열차하중 하에서의 상부플랜지와 수직보강재 용접연결부에서의 피로균열 보강방안에 대한 구조해석을 실시하였다. 또한 상부플랜지와 수직보강재 용접이음부 상세해석을 통하여 피로균열 발생위치를 확인하고 연결이음부의 적절한 보강방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 경부고속철도 교량은 대부분 콘크리트교량으로 2@40m와 3@25m의 박스거더교량의 대표적인 형식이다. 일부구간에서 단경간 또는 2경간 연속 50 m 2주형을 갖는 강합성교량이 건설되었다. 연행하는 차륜이 반복해서 통과하는 철도교량은 주기적인 동적하중에 의하여 공진이 발생할 수 있으며, 특히 고속전철이 통과하는 교량은 저속차량이 통과하는 일반철도보다 공진의 발생가능성이 클 뿐 아니라 고속으로 주행하는 열차의 주행안정성 확보를 위해서 엄격한 제한조건을 만족시켜야 하는 엄밀한 동적설계 조건을 갖게 된다. 그러한 조건 중에서 가속도의 제한 규정은 UIC에서 제안된 기준치로서 도상을 갖는 경우에 0.35g이하를 만족시키도록 요구하고 있다. 현재 KTX가 주행하는 교량에서는 일부구간 및 시점에서 규정치를 초과하는 값을 보이고 있는 것으로 계측되었으며, 그 원인 및 대책마련을 위한 연구를 수행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 그러한 과도한 가속도의 원인 규명을 위한 각종 매개변수 연구와 그 해결책 마련을 위한 연구를 수행하였으며, 경제적이면서도 효과적인 진동저감 방안을 제시하고 있다.

  • Wireless LAN is getting more popularity and plays a main role in electronic and telecommunication field. Wireless LAN is more convenient than wired LAN when mobility is required, and are sometimes the only feasible choice. Wireless LAN can also pose a significant security risk when not properly installed and maintained. Thus, this paper studies real-time message transmission using existing mobile telecommunication network and describes considerations and procedures when introducing wireless LAN concept and wireless LAN systems. It also studies integrated wired and wireless networking including wireless LAN bridge and AP technology of International Organization for Standardization, and especially real-time dynamic image data transmission in a moving train.

Analysis of the axial force in CWR connected with turnout by means of the field measurement (현장계측을 통한 교량상 분기기 축력 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The demand on a turnout layed on a bridge is rising owing to the increasing number of stations on the viaduct. And also the demand on a turnout with CWR is rising to upgrade running speed of the passing train. A CWR connected with turnout is subjected to additional axial force induced by the actions due to change in temperature, braking and starting force, and bending of the deck. But magnitude and distribution of the axial force in rails of turnout is not clear yet. So, in this study, a field measurement was conducted to know them. The strain gage method was adopted for field test. The FBG sensor for the strain measurement was used to ensure stability of test value and durability of gage for long term. It is expected that we can get data on the axial force in rail connected with turnout with respect to seasonal temperature change by the established field test system.

  • ATC facility manipulates ground-on-board information, which transmits speed limit, varying as wayside environments - safety facility, track gradient, inclination, bridge and tunnel and other factors, installed for safe operation of trains on wayside. Efficientiation and automatification of operation and maintenance is being realized, by measuring if there are any erroneous information, using a measuring car. In this paper, we study in priority the methods for measuring accurately distinctive properties of internal malfunctions of track circuits, the performance decrease of condensers, and the unbalance of return cables, which are actually required for functionality improvement of high-speed line signal measure facilities, by measuring the unbalance of return current given because of damaged factors of external track circuits.

  • Recently, medium or slight earthquakes was occurred in the Korea Peninsula and seismic design is considered seriously in the railroad facilities as case of other civil engineering facilities. In this study, it selected the Seongnam-Yeoju railroad 6th section and seismic analysis was accomplished. Specially, unlike existing seismic analysis using the artificial earthquake and the real earthquake, seismic analysis using a seismic vibration and the train vibration was accomplished. 1-D and 2-D ground response analysis of the railroad bed and 3-D Finite element analysis in the bridge connection section of high landfill slope was accomplished. Also, slope stability analysis and the evaluation of liquefaction was accomplished.
