Sub-Surface Station Fire Evacuation Research and Best Practice

  • The basis of modem risk-based safety management is to focus on what might happen and ensure it is designed out of the system by robust hazard identification and risk analysis. However, in the real world things go wrong and it is essential to be prepared for the worst so that the response can minimise harm and loss of property and damage to the environment. Whilst some hazard mitigation measures are aimed at preventing incidents, others are venting escalation. The results of the tests concluded that the most effective means by the control room, both with and without, local station staff assistance using directive public address announcements and CCTV surveillance.

  • In order to scheme the optimal assumption that satisfies the travel demand, it should be review the elements that affect on determining the headway, which are signal systems, line shape, vehicle(Light Rail Transit) performance, and so on. When applying the conventional signal systems, including Fixed Block System and Moving Block System, It was confirmed whether or not satisfy the requirements of target line with the way of a numerical formula reviewing and Train performance Simulation on the main line, station, depot, and so forth. Therefore, it should be used as references that decide target line and each sub-system after identifying the compliances for Minimum Headway to Moving Block System.

  • In this paper, we describe about the field test of polymeric long rod insulator for rail way. For the test, insulators were mounted at the feeder line system at Kuro base station and were exposed to environmental, electric, and mechanical stress. During the test service, the leakage current was been monitoring and stored the data by the leakage current measuring system that was specially constructed. After about 6 months, diagnostic tests for evaluation of the installed insulators were conducted. The test results developed that the developed polymeric insulator is valid to use for rail way.

환승역세권 평가를 통한 TOD 계획 요소의 비교분석 (A Comparative Analysis of TOD Planning Elements of Major Urban Railway Station Areas in Seoul)

  • 세계도시의 철도역들은 새로운 역사개발 및 기존역사 재생에 있어서 대중교통지향형개발(TOD) 패러다임에 의한 개발을 실시해 오고 있다. TOD는 대중교통결절점을 중심으로 고밀화, 복합적 토지이용, 보행친화적 환경조성, 다양한 대중교통수단 연계 등을 융합한 도시개발이라 할 수 있다. 국내의 연구에서는 TOD 개발에 있어 정책적, 방향성 제시를 위한 많은 연구가 진행되었다. 방법론적으로는 TOD 계획요소에 대한 대중교통이용률, 토지이용의 효율화, 지하철이용자수요와의 실증분석 등의 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 TOD의 주요 계획요소에 대한 미약한 현황분석은 TOD의 실질적인 정책적, 제도적 지원을 창출할 수 있는 근거를 마련하지 못하는 실정이며, 역세권의 문제점을 파악하는데 다양한 관점에서 고려되지 못하는 한계점을 지니고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 선행연구와 FGI를 통해 TOD 계획요소를 도출하며, 역세권 반경 500m를 기준으로 분석한 자료의 표준화(Re-Score)값과 AHP 분석을 통해 산출된 계획요소에 대한 중요도를 곱하여 평가점수를 도출한다. 분석결과 TOD 계획요소의 중요도는 접근특성, 대중교통특성, 토지이용특성, 인구특성 순으로 나타났고, 서울시 32개 주요 환승역세권은 잠실역, 사당역, 교대역 등이 TOD 평가점수가 높은 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 활성화되어 있는 천안 종합버스터미널 상업지역과 침체된 천안역 상업지역의 도심환경 인식 차이에 대한 분석을 통하여 천안역 상업지역의 이용자 만족도에 영향을 미치는 도심 환경요소를 찾는데 있다. 요인분석을 통하여 도심환경 요소들은 보행환경의 쾌적성, 상업 업무시설이용의 용이성, 도심환경의 쾌적성, 대중교통 접근성, 거리디자인(상징성) 등으로 분류되었다. 천안역 상업지역의 만족도에 상대적으로 크게 영향을 미치는 도심환경요인은 보행환경의 쾌적성과 상업 업무시설이용의 편리성인 2개 요인들인 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 향후 천안역 상업지역의 활성화를 위한 사업시행 시 보행환경이 쾌적하게 유지될 수 있도록 개선이 필요하며, 상업 업무시설인 은행이나 복합쇼핑몰 등을 효과적으로 배치할 수 있는 방안을 찾을 필요가 있다.

콘크리트궤도에 고속분기기 설치를 고려한 교량설계 및 시공기법 (Design and Construction Method Considering Turnout for High-speed on The Bridge with Concrete Track)

  • The concrete track is being used at the Phase II of the Kyeongbu High Speed Railway and New Constructed Honam High Speed Railway. When it makes a decision of bridge type, It has to consider about longitudinal forces of Continuous Welded Rail, Displacement at the end of bridges, Up-lift forces for fastener on the track. If it is installed turnout on the bridge, There is likelihood of the deck twist by applying the each difference longitudinal forces at the 4 each rails and the buckling by concentration of rail stress at the turnout. Moreover, If it is installed turnout on the continuous bridge and REJ(Rail Expansion Joint) on the main track or turnout track. It is hard to keep a safety for rail because of coming to twist or folding at the expansion of deck on the turnout track. Therefore when it is a design of bridge with turnout. It need to take bridge type to minimize an additional axial force and a displacement at the turnout. This paper makes a study of the composite steel arch bridge that is able to resolve criteria requirements of safety for track with turnout and suggest a helpful design method for bridge considering track with turnout by being based on design and construction method of Eonyang Bridge at the north part of Ulsan Station in Phase II of the Kyeongbu High Speed Railway.

TPS를 이용한 한국형 고무차륜경량전철(K-AGT)의 성능특성 분석 (Train Performance Characteristics of Korean Rubber-Tired AGT System by TPS)

  • In this work, the characteristics of train performance of Korean rubber-tired AGT system(K-AGT) are evaluated by using TPS(Train Performance Simulation) and these results are compared to those of other LRT(Light Rail Transit) systems. The performance characteristics of K-AGT was analyzed by comparing the scheduled speed and the energy consumption in case of station interval change and rail track condition change in, the scheduled construction line. In the scheduled construction line, scheduled speed of K-AGT was no difference with other systems and energy consumption was less than other LRT's. In case station intervals are increased, scheduled speed of K-AGT shows similar increasing rate and in curved and graded track conditions K-AGT has no difference in scheduled speed with other systems. As a simulation result by track condition change, when the track which is smaller than curved line of 250m dominates more than $50\%$ in whole track, K-AGT is similar to other systems to the point of scheduled speed and there is advantage in energy consumption.

  • A subsidiary-main track for passenger station is a low-speed track section distinct from a through route such as a main track. It is parallel to a through track and connected to it at both ends by switches. Sidetracks allow for fast, high priority trains to pass slower or lower priority trains going the same direction. They are important for efficiency to order and organize the flow of rail traffic. In this paper we first describe the minimum headway between trains using the concept of occupation time in a block section, which depends on block systems, signalling system and safety technology. And then a stepwise approach is presented to select station, which is suitable to install sidetrack for a given train-traffic pattern. This approach is tested with sample example data, which are surveyed from track geometry based on the to-be-constructed line.

  • In the recent railway construction, the concrete slab track is highlighted as the maintenance-free track and the main stream is moving from ballasted track to concrete slab track. However, in spite of many merits of concrete slab track, the higher noise generated from the concrete slab track is a troublesome question to solve and, by this reason, many studies on noise reduction of concrete slab track are carried out. The railway noise can be classified into the reflection noise emitted from wheel/rail contact and the structure-borne noise transmitted through railway structures. In this presentation, we would like to introduce an example of the successful reduction of structure-borne noise at track retrofitting to maintenance-free concrete slab track in elevated Changdong Station which was built with ballasted track on Rahmen structure.

철도 이용객 정보제공 효과평가 방법론 연구 - 승강장의 혼잡상황을 고려한 Gate Metering 사례 연구 중심으로 - (Study on Methodology for Effect Evaluation of Information Offering to Rail passengers - Focusing on the Gate Metering Case Study considering congested conditions at a platform -)

  • 최근 지하철 9호선은 2단계 연장구간의 개통으로 최대 240% 혼잡도를 기록하는 등 지옥철로 불리우며 역사 내 상습혼잡에 대한 문제점이 지속적으로 야기되고 있는 실정이다. 역사 내 혼잡은 이용객의 불쾌감 유발과 철도 운영 효율성을 저하시키는 요인이 되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 철도역사 내 상습혼잡 해소를 위해 철도 이용객 정보제공의 효과평가 방법론을 정립하고자 하였으며, 효과평가 방법론 중 승강장의 혼잡상황을 고려한 Gate Metering 사례 연구를 진행하였다. Gate Metering을 접목시킨 Micro Simulation 및 Pedestrian Simulation Tool을 선정하여 열차의 혼잡도별 Metering 효과분석을 시행하였으며, 그 결과 Gate Metering 시행 시 혼잡도별 승강장의 서비스 수준 및 보행밀도가 개선되는 것을 확인하였다. 승강장에서 Metering을 실시 할 경우 플랫폼 대기 공간 내 혼잡도 조절 가능성이 있다고 판단한 것 이다. 따라서, 본 연구를 통하여 철도역사 내 이용객 혼잡도 관리를 위한 정보제공 효과평가 지표 수립 및 프로그램을 통한 이용객 정보제공 효과평가 방법론 정립이 가능하다는 것으로 판단되었다.
