RC servos are electro-mechanical devices that respond to a control signal, which instructs them to move their output shaft to a certain position. A servo is normally plugged into a radio receiver with a three pin connector. The three wires are a power (usually 4.8V to 6.0V), a ground, and a signal wire. The signal wire carries a PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation) signal consisting of a 1-2msec pulse repeated 50 times a second. A 1.5msec pulse will tell the servo to move to its output shaft to the center position, 0 degrees. For a servo with a 180 degree of motion, a 1msec pulse will move the servo to -90 degrees, and a 2msec pulse will move the servo to +90 degrees. In order to development a humanoid robot, mechanical design, fixtures design, analysis of kinematics, implementation moving program, selection of RC servo motor and controller are required. This study was performed to experimentally compare the rotation range of RC servo motors according to change of a periods.

This research illustrates how the simulation environment for operating the simultaneous man/unmanned aerial vehicle teaming is constructed. X-Plane program, HILS for the ducted fan aircraft (unmanned) and CTLS (manned aircraft) with communication devices are interfaced to simulate the basic co-operational flight. The X-plane and HILS can allow operators to experience the maned and unmanned aircraft operation in the airspace on the ground in turn they can perform various simulated missions in advance before the actual flight. For the test purpose, the data link between man/unmanned aircraft and ground control station is examined using C Band and UHF radio channels by the manned aircraft.

This study was carried out to investigate 192 female college students in Seoul area in order to know their dietary behavior regarding weight control, awareness of body image and weight, methods of weight control, meal volume, eating rate, frequency of eating, health score and nutritional knowledge score. Obesity was determined using body mass indes(BMI=Wt/Ht$^2$). The finding revealed that the average BMI was 19.7$\pm$ 1.94 Subjects were divided into 3 groups according to body image : lean group, moderate group and obese group, respectively. The results of this study are summarized as follows : 1) 48.9% of subjects thought they were obese, however their BMI was 20.9 2) 56.1% of subjects anted to attend a weight control program and the sources of information concerning weight control were newspapers and magazines, TV and radio in that order. 3) There were no significant difference among groups in the meal volume, frequency of eating and health score. 4) There were significant differences among groups in the eating rate and nutritional knowledge score. These results suggest that an accurate self perception of their bodies, and nutritional education are important for female college students.

In this paper, we have developed a propagation loss prediction software with GUI (Graphic User Interface) functions, based on the geometrical ray optics model, which can predict radio parameters for the deployment of wireless indoor network. The program has two numerical modules consisted with electrical image and ray launching methods to implement UTD theory. The simulated results are compared with reported data measured in the foreign building environments for office and '一' type corridor, and measured and simulated results for the propagation loss agree with each other quite well. Simulation results for '一' type corridor and 'T' type corridor propagation environment are shown for reference.

The purpose of this study is to solve the problems of radio frequency bandwidth frequency depletion, confusion possibilities, and security that are in current wireless communications systems, and to confirm the possibility of applying those solutions for the next generation network. To solve the problems of the current wireless communications system, a visible light communications system for power line communication (PLC) via 8-bit microcontroller is created and the capacity is analyzed. The exclusive PLC chip APLC-485MA, an 8-bit ATmega16 microcontroller, high brightness 5pi light emitting diodes (LEDs), and the LLS08-A1 visible light-receiving sensor were used for the transmitter and receiver. The performance was analyzed using a designed program and an oscilloscope. The voltage change was measured as a function of distance from 10-50 cm. Blue LEDs showed the best performance among the measured LED types, with 0.47 V of voltage loss, but for a distance over 50 cm, precise data was not easy to obtain due to the weak light. To overcome these types of problems, specific values such as the changing conditions and efficiency value relevant to the light emitting parts and the visible light-receiving sensor should be calculated, and continuous study and improvements should also be realized for better communication conditions.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between the types of leisure activity and Korean form of geriatric depression score in the elderly. Methods: We surveyed elderly (>60 years old) people who participated in leisure activities using interviews in Bukgu district, Daegu city. Data collection was performed from 1 - 31 May, 2008. The data was analyzed with SPSS 12.0 program, which was used for descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis. Results: Common leisure activities scored 'often' and 'very often' were family conversations, offspring visiting, eating out, plant cultivation, entertainment, conversation, walking or jogging, and TV or radio. It was investigated at the rate of 19.2% in the moderate depression and 8.3% in the severely depression. Depression positively associated with newspaper or magazine, family conversation, offspring visiting, social service, movie & theater, exercise and tour. Conclusion: Most elderly people surveyed indicated they were depressed, which should recommend significant leisure activities for elderly to reduce depression in Bukgu district, Daegu city.

Molecular clouds are the sites of stellar birth, and conditions within the clouds control the mode and tempo of star formation. In particular, turbulence largely determines the density and velocity fields, and can affect the gas kinetic temperature as it decays via shocks. However, despite its central role in star formation and many years of study, the properties of turbulence remain poorly understood. As a part of the TRAO key science program, "Mapping turbulent properties of star-forming molecular clouds down to the sonic scale (PI: Jeong-Eun Lee)", we mapped the northern region of the Orion A molecular cloud and the L1688 region of the ${\rho}$ Ophiuchus molecular cloud in 2 sets of lines (13CO 1-0/C18O 1-0 and HCN 1-0/and HCO+ 1-0) using the Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory (TRAO) 14-m telescope. We analyze these maps using a python package 'Turbustat', a toolkit which contains 16 different turbulent statistics. We will present the preliminary results of our TRAO observations and various turbulence statistical analyses.

The purpose of this study is to measure the overall level of consumer consciousness and behavior environmental problems of college women students and to analyze influencial factors. Five hundred and sixteen college women students were selected randomly, in Kwangju area. The methods of data analysis were Frequency Distribution, Mean , Percentile, one-Way ANOVA , Scheffe-test . Pearson's Correlation, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. Major finding are as follows; 1) The consumer consciousness and behavior an environmental problems of college women student showed significant differences according to the grade, age, major, socio-economic status, consumer education experience environmental problems, and frequencies of contacting mass media. 2) The consumer behavior on environmental problems of college women students had a positive relationship with consumer consciousness on environmental problems. Based on the above findings , this study suggests the followings; first the consumer education as a formal program is needed for the improvement of the consumer consciousness and behavior of college women student. Second. The content of the consumer education must emphasize more clearly the consumer rights in order to improve consumer's consciousness and behavior of environmental problems. Third. mass media of TV, radio, newspaper, magazine must be more active publicity and instruction in order to improve consumer's consciousness and behavior on environmental problems.

This article investigates the use of distal demonstrative Hitlo in Taiwanese Southern Min (TSM) from a discourse-pragmatic perspective. The analysis is based on a 5-hour corpus of spoken data, including daily conversations, radio interviews, TV drama series, and some random examples. A total of 172 tokens of Hitlos are identified in the data. They can be divided into six categories according to their functions: firstly, exophoric usage, those Hitlos which refer to an object non-linguistically which can be identified in the immediate situation; secondly, endophoric usage, those which refer to an element textually; thirdly, referent introducing function, those which can be used to introduce a new but identifiable referent into the conversation (the referent usually has topical importance); fourthly, hedging expression, those which serve as a marker of imprecision; fifthly, a condition introducing marker, those which function as an indicator of the coming of a conditional sentence; finally, pause fillers, those which help speakers to manage speech turn or indicate the mental states In addition, an interactive function which Hitlo is found to serve will be discussed. Moreover, a grammaticalizational process involving semantic bleaching which Hitlo is probably undergoing is revealed in general. Finally, a filled demonstrative principle, stating that it may be a universal phenomenon to use demonstratives as filled pause will be proposed.

As maritime information and communication technology has been developing and the demands for various kinds of application services has been increasing nowadays, the multi-band maritime networks combining available multiple radio networks has been introduced. We have previously proposed a multi-band network selection(MNS) system which operates in the middleware layer and selects the best available network seamlessly. In this paper we develop MNS server software, network interfaces, and application program. The functionalities of the MNS system, including updating network status, connecting to heterogeneous networks, and communicating in the best network are also verified via indoor test.
