  • In this paper, we proposed the scheme in which the CR user can coexist with the primary user assumed to be 802.11b WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) in the 2.4 GHz ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) band without harming the primary user based on interference temperature. Based upon the systematic process introduced in this paper, the coexistence of CR user would be possible.

  • The Korean nationwide differential global positioning system (NDGPS) reference station transmits a global positioning system (GPS) enhancement signal using minimum shift keying modulation with a 200 bps data rate. The ocean-based DGPS covers the service area of 100 NM with 300 W output power; on the other hand, the land-based DGPS transmits the output power of 500 W, which covers the service area of 100 km. The DGPS reference stations with high output power can radiate spurious signals, which may act as interference sources affecting the other DGPS reference stations or the wireless ground stations that utilize the medium frequency band. In this paper, the radiation spectrums of the DGPS reference stations are measured and analyzed in the spurious domain. The DGPS radiation spectrums are evaluated from the perspective of the interference effect.

  • This paper represents analysis on domestic technical regulation of high speed power line communications(PLC). Also it gives comparison of regulations for several countries which include U.S., Europe, and Japan. Power line communications radiates harmful interference in below 30MHz. This may intervene other radio equipments. The technical regulation must protect interference and provide clean radio environment. Finally this paper gives the proposal which is drafted by field tests for introducing high speed PLC.

  • In this paper, we present interference power distribution results when radio frequency identification(RFID) and ubiquitous sensor network(USN) systems share the $908.5{\sim}914MHz$ frequency bands. Average interference powers are obtained by simulation and statistical analysis, respectively. Simulation results are then verified by statistical analysis. According to the number of interferers and the diameter of the protection area, the cumulative density functions(CDFs) of interference power are simulated under the various conditions. From the simulation results, the probability that both USN and RFID systems meet the required maximal interference power levels is 95 % on condition that there are 1 low revered RFID reader and several USN nodes and that the minimum distance between a RFID reader and an USN node is greater than 1 m. Our results can be used as an basic research for coexistence analysis of RFID and USN systems in the $908.5{\sim}914MHz$ frequency bands.

  • In this Paper, the channel characteristics of the medium voltage(22.9kV) power line to analysis the broadband power line communication in the frequency range up to 30MHz was measured. With the sideband electrical coupler in the operating frequency range from DC to 30MHz, we measured characteristic impedance, noise and attenuation of the medium voltage power line, and then characteristic impedance was measured at the state of unloaded medium voltage power line by Scattering parameter method of Vector Network Analyzer. As a measurement result, Channel impedance shows 100~380$\Omega$ at the less than 15MHz and 70~230$\Omega$ at the more than 15 MHz. Noise characteristics of power line shows -75dBm at 20MHz and Narrowband interference noise was from 3 MHz to 7MHz.

  • In radio frequency identification(RFID) systems, when an RFID reader uses the same or adjacent frequency with neighbor readers, the interference between the readers may occur, which causes the reader collision and errors in tag recognition. In the previous study on RFID reader anti-collision, the techniques based on Frequency Division Mutiplex(FDM) or Time Division Multiplex(TDM) are proposed. However in these paper, the problem on the condition of RFID reader-to-reader interference considering the distance between interfering readers, frequency and operating time is not define exactly. In this paper, the interference effect is analyzed through RFID reader interference model considering the TDM and FDM, and the optimization problem is defined. To solve this, genetic-resource allocation technique is proposed. Therefore the optimal resource allocation applied RFID environment faithfully is accomplished.

  • The asymmetry of received intensity pattern within the bandwidth is derived from the analogy of the intensity distribution of two-slit interference. This suggests that the length of $\frac{1}{2}{\lambda}$ delay line should be adjusted to the slightly upper frequency than the central frequency of the radio telescope with a wide bandwith. Some strange communication signals and man-made noises prevented us from obtaining the discernible information from the observed data for the sun. To overcome this difficulties, it is necessary to alter the operating frequency and site. It will be fo1lowed to measure the angular dimensions of the superposed radio sources by changing the distance between two antennas.

  • LED communication is a wireless communication technology to transmit information using visible light coming out from the LED(Light Emitting Diode). It is a technique that can overcome RF(Radio Frequency) communication problems that are frequency allocations, human body hazards, security vulnerabilities, and interference between electronic devices. As a technique that can be used as lighting and communications with using LED, LED communication is suitable for ubiquitous environment. This paper introduces the process of data transmission algorithm for LED communication systems algorithm using LED, PD(Photodiode), and MCU(Micro Controller Unit).

  • In this paper, conducted emission from the LDC(Low-Side DC/DC Converter) of a HEV/EV was analyzed using high-frequency circuit modeling in system-level approach. The conducted emission by PWM process(100 kHz; Switching Frequency) can cause RFI(Radio-Frequency Interference) problems in the AM/FM frequency range. In order to mitigate this conducted emission, a high-frequency equivalent circuit model is proposed by analyzing the fundamental circuits, parasitic components in their parts and connections and non-linear characteristics of MOSFETs, high-power capacitors, inverters, motors, high-power cables, and bus bars which are composed of the LDC. Using these circuit models, results of both simulation and measurement were compared and similarities between them were verified. We are looking forward that this approach can be effectively used in the EMC design of HEV/EV.

  • In this paper, we propose a SSD(simultaneous single band duplex) system with turbo equalizer for full-duplex over harsh ISI(inter symbol interference) channel. The proposed system uses RF(radio frequency) cancellation and digital cancellation to cancel self-interference caused by simultaneous single band duplex communication. Also, using turbo equalizer, the proposed system equalizes signal after digital cancellation. In this paper, we design SSD system with turbo equalizer. And then we evaluate BER(bit error rate) performance of the proposed system comparison with SSD system with adaptive equalizer. We use simulink program to confirm BER performance of the proposed system. The simulation results shows that the proposed system equalizes received signal effectively over harsh ISI channel and BER performance of the proposed system is better than BER performance of SSD system with adaptive equalizer.
