대승기탕(大承氣湯)으로 호전된 조현병 환청에 대한 증례 1례 (Auditory Hallucination in Schizophrenia treated by Daeseunggi-tang : A Case Report)

  • Objective : We report efficacy of Daeseunggi-tang on auditory hallucination in schizophrenia. From this, we can expect therapeutic possibility of herbal medicine chosen by 'A disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions' in schizophrenia. Methods : Daeseunggi-tang written in YangMyeong-JiWiByeong is applied to 31-year-old patient who diagnosed as schizophrenia and hospitalized for 3months taking antipsychotics. The patient was treated for a year. Results : Scores in Auditory Hallucination appended to PANSS and K-BDI were highly decreased. The patient takes no antipsychotics anymore for now. Conclusions : Auditory hallucination in Schizophrenia which needs antipsychotics can be managed by herbal medicine chosen by 'A disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions'.

Rao-Wald Test for Variance Ratios of a General Linear Model

  • In this paper we propose a method to test $\textit{H}$:$\rho_i$=$\gamma_i$ for 1$\leq$$\textit{i}$$\leq$$\ell$ against $\textit{K}$:$\rho_i$$\neq$$\gamma_i$ for some iin k-variance component random or mixed linear model where $\rho$i denotes the ratio of the i-th variance component to the error variance and $\ell$$\leq$K. The test which we call Rao-Wald test is exact and does not depend upon nuisance parameters. From a numerical study of the power performance of the test of the interaction effect for the case of a two-way random model Rao-Wald test was seen to be quite comparable to the locally best invariant (LBI) test when the nuisance parameters of the LBI test are assumed known. When the nuisance parameters of the LBI test are replaced by maximum likelihood estimators Rao-Wald test outperformed the LBI test.

Kinetics and Mechanism of Pyridinolysis of Aryl Dithiocyclopentanecarboxylates in Acetonitrile

  • Kinetic studies on the pyridinolysis of aryl dithiocyclopentanecarboxyaltes 2 were carried out at $60.0^{\circ}C$ in acetonitrile. In the aminolysis of 2, the $\beta_X$ values were 0.5 - 0.8 with anilines, and there was no breakpoint. However, in the pyridinolysis of 2, biphasic Bronsted plots were obtained, with a change in slope from a large value ($\beta_X{\cong}0.7$) to a small value ($\beta_X{\cong}0.4$) at $pK_{a}^0$ = 5.2. This was attributed to a change in the rate-limiting step from breakdown to the formation of a zwitterionic tetrahedral intermediate, $T^{\pm}$, in the reaction path, with an increase in the basicity of the pyridine nucleophile. An obvious change in the cross-interaction constant ${\rho}_{XZ}$ from a large positive ($\rho_{XZ}$ = +1.02) value to a small negative value (${\rho}_{XZ}$ = -0.17) supports the proposed mechanistic change.

THEOREMS OF LIOUVILLE TYPE FOR QUASI-STRONGLY $\rho$-HARMONIC MAPS

  • In this article, we prove various properties and some Liouville type theorems for quasi-strongly p-harmonic maps. We also describe conditions that quasi-strongly p-harmonic maps become p-harmonic maps. We prove that if $\phi$ : $M\;\longrightarrow\;N$ is a quasi-strongly p-harmonic map (\rho\; $\geq\;2$) from a complete noncompact Riemannian manifold M of nonnegative Ricci curvature into a Riemannian manifold N of non-positive sectional curvature such that the $(2\rho-2)$-energy, $E_{2p-2}(\phi)$ is finite, then $\phi$ is constant.

  • In this study, cathodic protection experiment was carried out by Al-alloy sacrificial anode in marine environments which have specific resistance($\rho$) if 25~7000$\Omega$.cm and investigated protection potential, current density and loss rate of Al-alloy sacrificial anode. The main results resistance($\rho$) of 400$\Omega$.cm, the cathodic protection potential appears high about-720 mV(SCE). But below specific resistance($\rho$) of 300$\Omega$.cm, the cathodic protection potential appears low about-770 mV(SCE) and simultaneously, cathode is protected sufficiently. 2) The loss rate of Al-Alloy sacrificial anode became large with decreasing specific resistance and increasing the ratio(A sub(c)/A sub(a) of bared surface area of anode and cathode. 3) The loss rate of Al-alloy sacrificial anode(w) to the mean current density of anode(i) is as follows. w=ai+b (a, b : experimental constants)

INCLUSION AND INTERSECTION THEOREMS WITH APPLICATIONS IN EQUILIBRIUM THEORY IN G-CONVEX SPACES

  • In this paper we obtain a very general theorem of $\rho$-compatibility for three multivalued mappings, one of them from the class $\mathfrak{B}$. More exactly, we show that given a G-convex space Y, two topological spaces X and Z, a (binary) relation $\rho$ on $2^Z$ and three mappings P : X $\multimap$ Z, Q : Y $\multimap$ Z and $T\;{\in}\;\mathfrak{B}$(Y,X) satisfying a set of conditions we can find ($\widetilde{x},\;\widetilde{y}$) ${\in}$ $X\;{\times}\;Y$ such that $\widetilde{x}\;{\in}\;T(\widetilde{y})$ and $P(\widetilde{x}){\rho}\;Q(\widetilde{y})$. Two particular cases of this general result will be then used to establish existence theorems for the solutions of some general equilibrium problems.

Spin Dependent Transport Phenomena for Annealed Co46Al19O35 Granular Thin Films

  • I have overviewed the change in GMR on annealing, in conjunction with the change in microstructure. The Co46Al19O35 granular thin films were annealed at 30$0^{\circ}C$ for various annealing time to change the microstructure. The magnitude of GMR decreases considerably with increasing annealing time, although the size of Co granules estimated from TEM observation show a small change. Parameter fits of magnetization curves and magnetoresistance curves to the Langevin function suggest that large clusters consisting of several small Co granules, which are coupled ferromagnetically, are related with the decrease of GMR on annealing. The temperature dependence of electrical resistivity ($\rho$) shows the relationship of log $\rho$ versus $T^{-1/2}$ for the sample annealed for 10 min., 1 hr. and 6 hrs. However, the sample annealed for 38 hrs. shows the relationship of log $\rho$ versus$ T^{-1/4},$ which represents a significant change in the transport mechanism.

Two New Correlations for Predicting Detonating Power of CHNO Explosives

  • For CHNO explosives, two new correlations of the form $P_{CJ}\;=\;8.7({\alpha}T_c')^{1/2}{\rho}_0^2-5\;and\;P_{CJ}\'=\'9.5({\alpha}T_c')^1/2{\rho}_0^2-9$ have been demonstrated, which relate detonation pressure, $P_{CJ}$; combustion temperature of the explosive in gas phase, $T_c$; combustion temperature of the explosive in crystalline state, $T_c'$; and the number of moles of gaseous products per unit weight of explosive, α; at initial density of the explosive, ${\rho}_0$. Experimental and semi-empirical PM3 procedures were used for the computation of $T_c$. Detonation pressures derived in this manner have a simple form without need to use computer code.

Balanced Ratio of Concrete Beams Internally Prestressed with Unbonded CFRP Tendons

  • The compression or tension-controlled failure mode of concrete beams prestressed with unbonded FRP tendons is governed by the relative amount of prestressing tendon to the balanced one. Explicit assessment to determine the balanced reinforcement ratio of a beam with unbonded tendons (${\rho}^U_{pfb}$) is difficult because it requires a priori knowledge of the deformed beam geometry in order to evaluate the unbonded tendon strain. In this study, a theoretical evaluation of ${\rho}^U_{pfb}$ is presented based on a concept of three equivalent rectangular curvature blocks for simply supported concrete beams internally prestressed with unbonded carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) tendons. The equivalent curvature blocks were iteratively refined to closely simulate beam rotations at the supports, mid-span beam deflection, and member-dependent strain of the unbonded tendon at the ultimate state. The model was verified by comparing its predictions with the test results. Parametric studies were performed to examine the effects of various parameters on ${\rho}^U_{pfb}$.

Electrical Properties of PCCYA-doped ZnO-based Varistors

  • The microstructure, voltage-current, and capacitance-voltage relations ofP CCYA doped ZnO-based varistors were investigated for different amounts of $Al_2O_3$. As the $Al_2O_3$ amount increased, the average grain size (d) increased from d=4.3 to $d=5.5{\mu}m$ and the sintered density $({\rho})$ increased from ${\rho}=5.63$ to ${\rho}=5.67g/cm^3$. As the $Al_2O_3$ amount increased, the breakdown voltage $(V_B)$ increased from $V_B=633$ to $V_B=71$ V/mm and the non-ohmic coefficient $({\alpha})$ increased from ${\alpha}=47$ to ${\alpha}=4$. $Al_2O_3$ served as a donor due to the donor density $(N_d)$, which increases in the range of $N_d=0.77-1.85{\times}10^{18}/cm^3$ with increasing amount of $Al_2O_3$.
