  • In recent, the contactless IC card is widely used in traffic, access control system and so forth. Contactless smart cards use a technology that enables card readers to provide power for transactions and communications without making physical contact with the cards. Usually electromagnetic signal is used for communication between the card and the reader. Contactless card is highly suitable for large quantity of card access and data transaction. And its use becomes a general tendency more and more because of the development of RF technology and improvement of requirement for user convenience. This paper describes the hardware module to process contactless protocol for implementation contactless IC card. And the hardware module consists of specific digital logic circuits that analyze digital signal from analog circuit and then generate data & status signal for CPU, and that convert the data from CPU into digital signal for analog circuit.

  • In this paper, a system that implementation of Biometric System Using RF-ID. We organize a certification system which the security is strengthened, the information is flowed out and the presentation will do the possibility not to be abused. The loss of the credit card and problems which there is many of forgery back are happening. To solve such problems, We organized the system to use after we stored a fingerprint data at RF Card and going through certification necessary formalities. Various research to be related uses this system and is predicted. The development to common use goods will be possible through a certification procedure.

  • Users of metropolitan railroad is increased continuously because of its various advantage such as comfortableness, convenience and punctuality. Thus, several local government including Seoul considered new installation or extension of railroads and four railroad operators maintain seventeen lines at present. After public transportation reforms in 2004 and integrated discount fare system in 2007, public transportation become more convenient in many aspects. However, these trials gives much more complex allocating problems of revenues among public transportation operators. In this paper, we deal with revenue allocating problems among public transportation operators after integrated discount fare system in 2007. Specifically, this study focuses on allocating revenues to metropolitan railroad operators by using RF card data. This research roughly proposes the methodology of O/D extraction from RF card data, generalized cost estimation and allocating revenue algorithm. We use RF card data in order to draw out exact individual O/D data and try to compare our results with those of Korea Smart Card Company. In generalized cost estimation, survey study about transfer factors is conducted for accurate estimation of generalized cost function. Lastly, new allocating revenue algorithm using k-path and non-dominated path concept is suggested. It is expected that case study is also performed with real revenues and O/D data in order to check up the application. Preposed methodology in this research can contribute to solve present and future revenue allocating issues according to the introduction of LRT and private railroad.

  • In recent years, the smart card is wifely applied for wireless communication, tracking, transportation logistics, diagnostic monitoring, access control and security. RF-ID system is universally applicable. Passive RF-ID system consists from reader and passive tag. The reader transmits energy and simple information to a tag by wireless and the power from the reader is transformed for controller, FRAM and Bluetooth module. in this paper, an analysis and design of smart card for the transmission of the car movement data is presented.

  • Smart card system is being used in many countries to improve access to their transportation systems. Especially for subway system that typically see high volumes of passengers at specific times of the days, it's critical to find a ray to collect fares without unnecessarily delaying passengers. The card consists of antenna, modulation and demodulation block, power supply module and memory. The antenna receives the power and data signal from reader. The FRAM is used as the inner memory. And it is a non-volatile memory and complements the problems, that is high consumption and low data processing speed, of using conventional EEPROM in the passive smart cart. In this paper, we analyze and design the RF passive smart card to apply to the fare collection for the subway gate system.

  • Radio frequency identification (RF-ID) is an automatic data capture (ADC) technology that comprises small data-carrying device(is called Tag) and fixed or mobile device(is called reader). Tags are attached or deattached device. Readers may be installed at locations where data capture is required, and may also be in the form of portable readers. In this paper, we are proposing an application for the subway station using the RF-ID system and a system for the gateless fare collection passing through the booth in only carrying the card. In this system that RF-ID system and Bluetooth are applied. We designed two wireless communication channels. One is the 125kHz communication channel by FSK and PSK for power supplying on the card and identification and the other is 2.4GHz channel for the collection.

Biometrics goes under the study of bio-recognition or bio-measurement. It is a technology or study that identifies individuals using one's Biometric character. Access control system is a system used to identify one's entrance and exit, personal management, and security. Access control system can be joined with Biometric system to produce easier use and more sufficient effects. Access control system using Wiegand (Data Format) signal output, can replace earlier RF Card systems and make an access control (security) system. It uses RS-232, Rs-422 or TCP/IP type communication with the computer so an embedded system can be controlled using the software.

  • We have studied DC energy conversion of RF card by wireless communication. In order to attain an objective, it used the system which is a Rectenna. The main purpose of energy conversion system is the operation of the circuits at RF-ID system. The proposed RF-ID system is a lot classified with the reader and tag. Reader is a kind of the base station role supporting RF energy. And priority tag convert RF energy from the reader it was delivered with a wireless to DC energy. The energy which is converted like Tag. It transmits to the reader characteristic ID of each card. The tag is mainly divided into rectifier, power module, memory and controller. The FRAM maintains the data like a ROM in no-power situation. And the advantage is a low power element compared with other EEPROM. There are two considerations, when RF energy is converted into DC source by wireless. One is energy amount supported from the reader, the other is high power efficiency. This paper presents a study of simulation and experiments on the RF-DC conversion circuit in tag by the power efficiency concentrated.

  • The MS card data transfer system using blue-tooth protocol ran communicate the MS card data wirelessly and does not take an extra communication expense which is a weakness point of existing wireless communication system. This Blue-tooth system, which has excellent security and no extra communication expense, can efficiently communicate data of the place ,where can be solved with small scale wireless network, such as the theme-park or gasoline-station. Existing wireless communication system compose network using wireless-LAN protocol which has extra communication expense, or with RF protocol which has poor security. But this system suitable for LAN because it has not extra communication expense and it has excellent security cause frequency-hopping of Blue-tooth protocol. The MS card data transfer system using blue-tooth protocol has low power, high performance RISC processor and large scale 16-gray graphic LCD which is suitable for portable unit. The MS card data transfer system can efficiently control depot for a long time because it has low power, excellent security and no extra communication expense.
