This study was performed to develop a rapid test kit for pathogenic Salmonella in various samples. The rapid detection kit has been fabricated based on nitrocellulose lateral-flow strip. Colloidal gold and biotin conjugated Salmonella antibodies were used as a tag and a receptor, respectively. Manually spotted Salmonella antibody and Neutravidin on nitrocellulose membrane were used as test and control lines, respectively. Feasibility of the rapid kit to detect Salmonella typhimurium in samples were evaluated. The intensity of the color of the test line started to increase with the samples in which higher concentration of the cells were contained. The sensitivity of the sensor was $10^6$ cfu/mL Salmonella spiked in PBS. Also, the rapid test kit could detect $10^6$ cfu/mL of Salmonella in chicken meat extract.

본 연구는 현재 유전평가에 사용하는 모델보다 많은 장점을 지니고 있는 임의회귀 검정일 모형(Random regression test-day model)을 이용할 때 마지막 세대의 불완전한 검정기록이 유전능력에 어떤 영향을 주는지 알아보고자 실시하였다.이용된 재료는 유우군능력검정사업을 통하여 수집된 2000년 1월부터 2005년 6월까지의 825,157개의 초산의 검정일 자료를 이용하였으며, 유전모수와 종모우의 육종가 추정은 REMLF90, BLUPF90을 이용하였다.

본 연구는 우유내 잔류물질 검사에 신속검출법으로 많이 사용되는 Delvo test가 산양유의 잔류물질 검사에도 적합한지 확인하기 위해 수행되었다. 8개 산양유목장 원유를 7회에 걸쳐 총 56개 시료를 Delvo test, Eclipse100, 그리고 Parallux로 분석하였다. 면역화학적 방법인 파라룩스에서는 양성 시료가 전혀 검출되지 않았으나 Delvo test에서는 37.5%의 양성율을 나타내었고 같은 미생물적 검출법인 Eclipse100에서는 3.6%의 양성율을 나타내었다. Delvo test는 국립수의과학검역원에서 발간한 원유검사표준화요령에 미생물학적 잔류물질 신속검출법으로 기재되어 있고, 축산물가공처리법상 "원유"의 정의가 '판매 또는 판매를 위한 처리 가공을 목적으로 하는 착유상태의 우유와 양유를 말한다'는 점을 고려할 때 Delvo test를 원유검사표준화요령에서 제외시키거나 Delvo test가 산양유의 잔류물질 신속검출법으로 적합하지 않다는 근거가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

The objective of the study is to assess temperament of a horse based on general temperament test by a questionnaire survey. Five test criteria were identified: gentleness, patience, aggressiveness, sensitivity, and friendliness, each on a 5-point scale. 114 horses bred at the National Institute of Animal Science (NIAS) in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The horses recorded scores of 3.6~3.9 for gentleness, 3.1~3.6 for patience, 3.4~4.0 for aggressiveness, 2.8~3.2 for sensitivity, and 3.4~3.8 for friendliness, the overall score for sensitivity the lowest. Horses born in 2012 scored lower than the rest in all five areas at a statistically significant level (P<0.05). By gender, the colts scored higher than the fillies in all five areas, but the discrepancy was not statistically significant. Factor analysis yielded only one factor, and the Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ value was 0.980 for standardization of Factor 1, indicating a high reliability of internal consistency. The correlation coefficients among the test criteria ranged between 0.85 and 0.91 (P<0.01). The assessment criteria used in this study are expected to provide a useful basis designing a temperament test horses.

Normally the first generation of hybrid is supplied for farm rearing, precise and labor saving sex discrimination is needed. The new strain "Hansaengjam" is sex-limited (female:larval markings, male:no-markings) strain which was bred from both sex-limited strain Japanese originated Jam 153 and Chinese originated strain Jam 154. Productivity test of Hansaengjam during 2007 and 2009 showed high healthiness and cocoon yield. The Hansaengjam is evaluated as an excellent strain from healthiness, cocoon yield and other test results.

Cricket (Gryllus bimacutus) is mass-bred in 6 cycles per one year in insect farms. They are used as dry or live foods for animals, tropical fish, reptile and amphibians. Therefore, it is necessary to study the genotoxicity of whole bodies of G. bimaculatus.(omitted)

Manure-based composts can have detrimental effects on the agricultural lands and crops if they are applied without proper stabilization process. Composting is well-known method for the stabilization of manure-based composts and the extent of composting could be examined by maturity test. Among various methods to examine compost maturity, the performances of two mechanical methods (Solvita and CoMMe-100) were examined and the test results were compared with seed germination test. The mechanical methods are considered to be simple and relatively objective. Also they are cost- and time-efficient. Ten commercially available composts collected in Korea were used for this study. Basically, the maturity determined with these mechanical methods was in good agreement with the seed germination test. However, it appeared that the index levels of compost maturity indicated more maturity by CoMMe-100 than Solvita for the same compost. The differences between maturity index levels determined by both methods were able to be minimized through extending the reaction time for CoMMe-100 and adjusting index level for maturity determination in the standard color chart.

본 연구는 제주산마의 hill test 및 운동 강도별 심폐지구력 측정으로 승용능력 평가를 위한 기초 자료로 활용하기 위해 수행하였다. 분석에 이용된 제주산마 9두는 경사도 30도 내외의 경사로 800 m를 주행하는 hill test를 실시하였으며, 이 중 6 두는 운동 강도별(moderate, heavy, very heavy) 심폐지구력을 측정하였다. Hill test 주행시간은 평균 205 초였으며, 개체간 편차는 큰 것으로 확인 되었고, moderate exercise와 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 운동 강도별 평균 심박수는 유의적인 차이가 없었으나, 개체간 평균 심박수는 차이가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 회복 심박수는 heavy exercise와 very heavy exercise에서 높은 상관관계를 확인할 수 있었다. 본 실험결과, 운동 강도별 평균 심박수 차이는 확인 할 수 없었으나, 개체간의 차이는 큰 것으로 확인되었다.

한국목록규칙의 개정과정에서 세미나 및 공청회를 통해 초안의 수정이나 문제점을 파악했던 기존 방식에서 벗어나 개정될 목록규칙의 문제점을 올바르게 파악하고, 도서관에서 새로운 목록규칙을 올바르게 적용할 수 있도록 한국목록규칙의 테스트 방안을 제안하였다. 연구방법으로는 문헌연구 및 사례조사를 바탕으로 하였으며, 사례조사는 RDA 테스트 조정위원회가 실시한 RDA 테스트를 바탕으로 분석하였다. 테스트의 평가항목으로 목록규칙 자체, 새로운 목록규칙을 적용한 레코드 생성 및 시스템 개발 측면, 이용자 측면, 비용 측면이었다. 개정될 한국목록규칙에 따라 서지 및 전거레코드를 생성하고, 설문조사를 실시하여 데이터를 수집할 것을 제안하였다. 설문조사는 기관용, 레코드를 생성한 사서용, 레코드를 사용하는 이용자용으로 구성되었다. 생성된 서지레코드의 목록규칙 적용 오류 및 서지레코드 구축시 규칙 적용의 문제점을 분석하여 앞으로 개정될 한국목록규칙 개정에 도움이 될 것이며, 신규 목록규칙의 서지레코드 입력시간 및 학습커브 등의 분석은 도서관이 새로운 목록규칙의 반영 여부를 결정하는데 도움이 될 것이다.
