  • The security of medical information need continued research about steady and flexible security model because of privacy of patient's as well as directly relation in the patient's life. In particular, u-healthcare environment is need flexible and detailed access control by variety changes of context. Control model analyzed relation of resource and authority, and analyzed authority about all accessible resource from access point using K2BASE. The context-based access control model can change flexibly authority change and role, and can obtain resource of authority granted and meaningly connected resource. As a result, this thesis can apply flexible and adaptive access control model at u-healthcare domain which context change various.

  • There has been an explosive increase in the population of OSN(online social network) for 10 years. OSN provides users with many opportunities to have communication among friends, families and goes so far as to make relationships among unknown people having similar belief or interest. However, OSN also produced adverse effects such as privacy breaches, leaking uncontrolled information or disseminating false information. Access control models such as MAC, DAC, RBAC are applied to the OSN to control those problems but those models in OSN are not fit in dynamic OSN environment because user's acts in OSN are unpredictable and static access control imposes burden on users to change access control rules one by one. This paper proposes the dynamic trust-based access control to solve the problems of traditional static access control in OSN.

  • The Secure OS is an operating system which adds security functions to the existing operating system, in order to secure a system from sorority problems originated from inherent frailty of applications or operating systems. With the existing Secure Oses for it is difficult to set an effective security policy securing personal resources in a multi-user environment system. To solve this problem in this paper we present two Techniques to secure user data efficiently in the RBAC-based Secure OS for a multi-user environment. Firstly we utilizes object's owner information in addition to object's filename. Secondly we make use of meta symbol('$\ast$'), which is able to describe multiple access targets. In addition this paper gives some examples to show advantages from these techniques. And these features are implemented in an solaris-based Secure OS called Secusys.

  • There are many security models for database systems using policy-based access control. RBAC (Role-based Access Control) is used for complementing MAC (Mandatory Access Control) and DAC (Discretionary Access Control) and is for performing flexibly security policies meet applied environment. We implemented the database security system that applies DAC, MAC, and RBAC to meet security requirements of users. However, security policies are constructed redundantly whenever security policies are needed to each user in this system. Even though the proposed security system can flexibly control more complicated 'read' access to various data sizes for individual users, it is obvious that there is a possibility that a new policy can be a duplication of existing policies. In this paper, we introduce the problem of policy duplication and propose the policy management module. With this proposed module, constructed policies are checked for duplication and deleted or merged with existing policies.

  • This paper implements Multiple User Authentication System to which the system authenticating with password only has been upgraded. The 4-staged authentication including user ID, password, smart card and access control information, etc. is used at the suggested Multiple User Authentication System. The user authentication system that this paper suggests has been developed based on SecuROS/FreeBSD with the function of access control added to FreeBSD kernel. It provides both the function to limit accost range to the system to each user and the function to check that when inputting important information the demand is the one if the system ; thus, the reliability becomes increased. In the SecuROS/FreeBSD system, MAC and RBAC are being used. So, in the case of users accessing to the system, the Information about the policies of MAC and RBAC to which users would access is used in the authentication. At the time, the access to system if permitted only when the access control information that users demanded satisfies all the access control rules which have been defined In the system.

  • As the innovative IT are being developed and applied in the e-business environment, firms are recognizing the fact that amount of customer information is providing care competitive edge. However, sensitive privacy information are abused and misused, and it is affecting the firms to require appropriate measures to protect privacy information and implement security techniques to safeguard carparate resources. This research analyzes the threat of privacy information exposure in the e-business environment, suggest the IPM-Trusted Privacy Policy Model in order to resolve the related problem, and examines 4 key mechanisms (CAM, SPM, RBAC Controller, OCM) focused on privacy protection. The model is analyzed and designed to enable access management and control by assigning user access rights based on privacy information policy and procedures in the e-business environment. Further, this research suggests practical use areas by applying TPM to CRM in e-business environment.

  • Database security is essential to protect their data in most organization such as hospitals, central or local governments, banks which manage the private, sensitive and important data. Because the duty of the department recently became more various and complicated, the changes of security requirement are needed more frequently. Therefore, easily changeable, flexible security policy and efficient security management with preserving the integrity of security policy are very important. In this paper, we implemented a flexible database security system in the specimen and clinical information management system of leukemic research center using IRH(Improved Role Hierarchy). Data is protected by MAC and we propose a flexible access control and effective administration by using the IRH that is an improved role hierarchy of RBAC. If security policy is needed for changes, this system can do it easily by simply modifying the IRH with the decentralized administration. The modified security policy can be applied flexibly after alteration because the security level of the subject is not fixed but can be derived automatically from the IRH when user connects the system.

  • Many studies have been done on secure kernel and encryption filesystem for system security. Secure kernel can protect user or system data from unauthorized and/or illegal accesses by applying various access control policy like ACL, MAC, RBAC and so on, but cannot protect user or system data from stealing backup media or disk itself. In addition to access control policy, there are many studies on encryption filesystem that encrypt file data within system level. However few studies have been done on combining access control policy and encryption filesystem. In this paper we proposed a new encryption filesystem that provides a transparency to the user by integrating encryption service into virtual filesystem layer within secure kernel that has various access control policies. Proposed encryption filesystem can provide a simple encryption key management architecture by using encryption keys based on classes of MAC policy and overcome a limit of physical data security of access control policy for stealing.

  • Due to the development of the e-commerce, the shopping mall such as auction collects and manages the personal information of the customers for efficient service. However, because of the leakage of the Personal information in auction, the image of the companies as well as the information subjects is damaged. Even though the organizations and the companies store the personal information as common sentences and protect using role based access control technique, the personal information can be leaked easily in case of getting the authority of the database administrator. And also the role based access control technique is not appropriate for protecting the sensitive information of the information subject. In this paper, we encrypted the sensitive information assigned by the information subject and then stored them into the database. We propose the personal policy based access control technique which controls the access to the information strictly according to the personal policy of the information subject. Through the proposed method we complemented the problems that the role based access control has and also we constructed the database safe from the database administrator. Finally, we get the control authority about the information of the information subject.
