We investigate modules M having the injective property relative to nonsingular modules. Such modules are called "$\mathcal{N}$-injective modules". It is shown that M is an $\mathcal{N}$-injective R-module if and only if the annihilator of $Z_2(R_R)$ in M is equal to the annihilator of $Z_2(R_R)$ in E(M). Every $\mathcal{N}$-injective R-module is injective precisely when R is a right nonsingular ring. We prove that the endomorphism ring of an $\mathcal{N}$-injective module has a von Neumann regular factor ring. Every (finitely generated, cyclic, free) R-module is $\mathcal{N}$-injective, if and only if $R^{(\mathbb{N})}$ is $\mathcal{N}$-injective, if and only if R is right t-semisimple. The $\mathcal{N}$-injective property is characterized for right extending rings, semilocal rings and rings of finite reduced rank. Using the $\mathcal{N}$-injective property, we determine the rings whose all nonsingular cyclic modules are injective.

YH-1715R, (2R,3R)-2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-3-(3-methoxy-1,2,4-isothiazol-3-yl-thio)-1-( 1H-1,2,4-triazol-l-yl)-2-butanol, a new triazole derivative obtained by the structural modification of fluconazole, was found to exhibit potent anti-Candida activity against a wide variety of Candida albicans (C. albicans) (MIC: 0.4-12.5 mg/l). To investigate the mode of action of YH-1715R, its effect on ergosterol biosynthesis in cell-free extracts and whole cells of C. albicans was examined. The inhibitory activity of YH-1715R was approximately ten-fold higher than that of fluconazole. To determine the primary action mechanism of YH-1715R, its inhibitory activity against lanosterol $14\alpha$-demethylase (14$\alpha$-DM), a major target for azole, was measured using gas-liquid chromatography. YH-1715R and fluconazole were found to inhibit 14a-DM with an $IC_{50}$ of 0.015 $\mu$M and 0.01$8\mu$M, respectively, plus the mode of inhibition of YH-1715R and fluconozole was noncompetitive with a $K_i$ of 0.0533$\mu$M and 0.0975$\mu$M.

In this paper we study the numerical solutions of the stochastic differential equations of the form $$du(x,\;t)=f(x,\;t,\;u)dt\;+\;g(x,\;t,\;u)dW(t)\;+\;\sum\limits_{|q|\leq2m}\;A_q(x,\;t)D^qu(x,\;t)dt$$ where $0\;{\leq}\;t\;{\leq}\;T,\;x\;{\in}\;R^{\nu}$, ($R^{nu}$ is the $\nu$-dimensional Euclidean space). Here $u\;{\in}\;R^n$, W(t) is an n-dimensional Brownian motion, $$f\;:\;R^{n+\nu+1}\;{\rightarrow}\;R^n,\;g\;:\;R^{n+\nu+1}\;{\rightarrow}\;R^{n{\times}n},$$, and $$A_q\;:\;R^{\nu}\;{\times}\;[0,\;T]\;{\rightarrow}\;R^{n{\times}n}$$ where ($A_q,\;|\;q\;|{\leq}\;2m$) is a family of square matrices whose elements are sufficiently smooth functions on $R^{\nu}\;{\times}\;[0,\;T]\;and\;D^q\;=\;D^{q_1}_1_{\ldots}_{\ldots}D^{q_{\nu}}_{\nu},\;D_i\;=\;{\frac{\partial}{\partial_{x_i}}}$.
Chromosome aberration induced by methyl methanesulfonate (MMS) and the effects of thymidine analogs (BUdR or IUdR) on MMS-induced chromosome aberration were studied in human lymphocyte cultures. Single treatment with MMS to lymphocytes induces both chromatid and chromosome type aberrations with high frequency of chromatid type. The combined treatment of BUdR or IUdR with MMS was found to be more effective in increasing the rate of chromosome type aberrations.
Purpose : Abdominal obesity with visceral fat accumulation have been known to be intimately associated with the development of metabolic syndrome. Therefore, it is important to estimate the precise amount of visceral fat. Ultrasonography has been reported that it is a simple and noninvasive method for visceral fat evaluation. Purpose of this study is to evaluate the association of ultrasonographic visceral fat thickness, anthropometric indexes, and risk factor of metabolic syndrome, and to investigate the cut-off value of abdominal visceral fat thickness leading to increased risk of metabolic syndrome. Materials and methods : The subject included 200 men and 200 women who visited D healthcare center in Daejeon from January to April 2008. The subcutaneous fat thickness and visceral fat thickness were measured by ultrasonograph. As anthropometric index, we measured body mass index, waist circumference and waist/height ratio. As for the risk factor of metabolic syndrome, we measured blood pressure, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglyceride and fasting serum glucose. Results : VFT was significantly correlated with waist circumference, (r=0.683/M, r=0.604/F), waist to height ratio (r=0.633/M, r=0.593/F) and BMI (r=0.621/M, r=0.534/F) in both men and women. In addition it was significantly correlated with Systolic blood pressure (r=0.229/M, r=0.232/F), Diastolic blood pressure ((r=0.285/M, r=0.254/F), high density cholesterol (r=-0.254/M, r=-0.254/F), Triglyceride (r=0.475/M, r=0.411/F), and Fasting blood sugar (r=0.158/M, r=0.234/F) in both men and women. The cut-off value of visceral fat thickness leading to the increased risk of metabolic syndrome was 4.58cm (sensitivity89.2%, specificity 71.2%) in men and 3.50cm (sensitivity61.2% specificity 80.8%) in women respectively. The odds ratio of the risk of metabolic syndrome was dramatically increased with the abdominal visceral fat thickness level over 6cm in men and 5cm in women. Conclusion : The visceral fat thickness using ultrasonography was significantly correlated with anthropometric indexes and risk factors of metabolic syndrome in both men and women. The cut-off value of visceral fat thickness leading to the increased risk of metabolic syndrome was 4.58cm in men and 3.50cm in women.
Let $S(R^d)$ be the Schwartz space of infinitely differentiable functions on $R^d$ which vanish at $\infty$ and $S'(R^d)$ be its dual space. The theory of stochastic differential equations(SDEs) governing processes that takes values in the dual of countably Hilbertian nuclear space such as $S'(R^d)$ studied by many authors(e.g [M],[KM]). Let M be a martingale measure defined by Walsh[W], then M can be considered as a $S'(R^d)$-valued process in a certain condition i.e. M has a version of $S'(R^d)$-valued martingale process. (See [W] for detailed discussion)
Let R be a ring. A right R-module M is called GI-flat if $Tor^R_1(M,G)=0$ for every Gorenstein injective left R-module G. It is shown that GI-flat modules lie strictly between flat modules and copure flat modules. Suppose R is an $n$-FC ring, we prove that a finitely presented right R-module M is GI-flat if and only if M is a cokernel of a Gorenstein flat preenvelope K ${\rightarrow}$ F of a right R-module K with F flat. Then we study GI-flat dimensions of modules and rings. Various results in [6] are developed, some new characterizations of von Neumann regular rings are given.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the depths of the Rees algebra R[It] and the associated graded ring g $r_{I}$(R) of an ideal I in a local ring (R,m) of dim(R) > 0. The relationship between the Cohen-Macaulayness of these two rings has been studied extensively. Let (R, m) be a local ring and I an ideal of R. An ideal J contained in I is called a reduction of I if J $I^{n}$ = $I^{n+1}$ for some integer n.geq.0. A reduction J of I is called a minimal reduction of I. The reduction number of I with respect to J is defined by (Fig.) S. Goto and Y.Shimoda characterized the Cohen-Macaulay property of the Rees algebra of the maximal ideal of a Cohen-Macaulay local ring in terms of the Cohen-Macaulay property of the associated graded ring of the maximal ideal and the reduction number of that maximal ideal. Let us state their theorem.m.m.
