  • The Fabric Electrode was proposed for the effective production of the display based on electrowetting in this paper and designed the source driver of flexible display which could be driven by the electrowetting cell. The electrowetting cell matrix was implemented on the substrate(PET) by imprinting. The driver fabric, wetting electrode fabric and conductive fabric was placed horizontally and vertically in the groove between cell matrix and the electrowetting cell matrix can be driven by the cross-point as electric connection. The integration density of driver module is decreased because using the R/2R DAC module per channel in the conventional method. The proposed method could utilize the effective production process and reduce the production price of a display panel. The source driver which consume lower power and can increase the integration density because of reducing the number of driver device per channel was designed and evaluate the driver operation by the simulation using the VHDL programming in this paper.

  • This paper is concerned on kinematic analysis and simulation of an automatic feeding mechanism and a curved inverse earn. The main objective is the development 0 fan algorithm of the earn-feeding mechanism and a CAD program. The computer program CACAFS (Computer-Aided Cam and Automatic Feeding System) is developed by using the state-of-the-art for CAD. Thus, the program CACAFS is independent of computer hardwares and also interactive. As the second part of paper, this paper introduces the technique for the mechanism simulation and graphics-oriented CAD programming. The first part of r paper presents the algorithm to analyze the motion of the inverse earn and the automatic feeding mechanism.

  • The eventual goal of this paper is to help the generating companies and load-serving entities to choose appropriate relative levels of interconnected system versus bilateral trades while considering risk, and economic performance. In competitive power markets, electricity prices are determined by balance between demand and supply in electric power exchanges or bilateral contracts. The problem formulation is bilateral contract incorporated into Multi-area unit commitment with import/export and tie-line constraints. This proposed method considers maximizing own profit or minimize the operating cost among the generating companies in multi-area system. The feasibility of the proposed algorithm has been demonstrated using IEEE system with four areas and experimental results shows that proposed method is reliable, fast and computationally efficient

  • An efficient solution algorithm of the optimal load distribution problem with joint torque constraints is presented. Multiple robot system where each robot is rigidly grasping a common object is considered. The optimality criteria used is the sum of weighted norm of the joint torque vectors. The maximum and minimum bounds of each joint torque in arbitrary form are considered as constraints, and the solution that reduces the internal force to zero is obtained. The optimal load distribution problem is formulated as a quadratic optimization problem in R, where I is the number of robots. The general solution can be obtained using any efficient numerial method for quadratic programming, and for dual robot case, the optimal solution is given in a simple analytical form.

  • The postbuckling behavior and progressive damage of composite laminated cylindrical shell under uniform external pressure were investigated by nonlinear finite element method programming. For the finite element analysis, nine-node 3-D degenerated elements were utilized, and arc-length method including line search was adopted for the iteration and load-increment along postbuckling equilibrium path. As results. buckling load, postbucking behavior, and progressive failure f3r various composite laminated cylindrical shells were discussed.

  • For a large organization such as a military service which can foresee future growths in its manpower requirements, a systematic tool that can provide analysis of its present manpower structure and policies in terms of meeting the future requirements, is in order today. This paper proposes a network model for such a purpose. The ROK Navy officer corps manpower system is studied and formulated as a network model, which may be expressed as a linear programming problem of minimizing total cost. An appropriate cost concept is developed and the out-of-kilter algorithm of Ford and Fulkerson is computer programmed to be used as a solution procedure for this network problem. A case study is conducted with a set of hypothetical data on a possible Navy combat-line specialty manpower problem.

  • The dynamic uncapacitated facility location model is formulated by a mixed integer programming. It has the objective of minimizing total discounted costs for meeting demands specified in different time periods at various demand centers. Costs include those for operation of facilities to demand centers and a fixed cost associated with the capital investment. The problem is decomposed into two simple Lagrangian relaxed subproblems which are coordinated by Lagrangian multipliers. We explored the effect of using the subgradient optimization procedure and a viable solution approach is proposed. Computational results are presented and further research directions are discussed.

  • It is necessary to improve the exactness and adaptation of the working environment for the intelligent robot system. The vision sensor have been studied for a long time at this points. However, it has many processes and difficulties for the real usages. This paper proposes a visual servoing in the virtual environment to support OLP(Off-Line-Programming) path compensation and supplement the problem of complexity of the old kinematical calibration. Initial robot path could be compensated by pixel differences between real and virtual image. This method removes the varies calibrations and 3D reconstruction process in real working space. To show the validity of the proposed approach, virtual space servoing with stereo camera is carried out with WTK and openGL library for a KUKA-6R manipulator and updated real robot path.

  • A new algorithm based on Genetic Algorithms is proposed f3r solving process optimization problems formulated in MINLP, GDP and hybrid MINLP/GDP. This work is focused especially on the design of the Genetic Algorithm suitable to handle disjunctive programming with the same level of MINLP handling capability. Hybridization with the Simulated Annealing is experimented and many heuristics are adopted. Real and binary coded Genetic Algorithm initiates the global search in the entire search space and at every stage Simulated Annealing makes the candidates to climb up the local hills. Multi-Niche Crowding method is adopted as the multimodal function optimization technique. and the adaptation of probabilistic parameters and dynamic penalty systems are also implemented. New strategies to take the logical variables and constraints into consideration are proposed, as well. Various test problems selected from many fields of process systems engineering are tried and satisfactory results are obtained.
