VRc Photometry of Dwarf Cepheids

  • Revised Yale Isochrone(Green et al, 1987)과 Lee의 HB simulation data(LEE '||'&'||' Demarque 1990)을 이용하여 Park이 만든 CMD simulation program(Park 1983).에 쌍성을 첨가하면 CMD에 어느 정도의 영향을 나타내게 되는가를 조사하였다. MS, SGB와 RGB는 큰 변화가 없었으나, HB에서는 많은 변화를 나타내었다. 193919 S02401193919 ^x We have observed the emission of HC3N J= 4-3, 5-4 10-9 and 12-11 transitions toward the Sgr B2 central region in an area of 150"XISO" with resolutions of16"-48". The intensities and central velocities of line profiles show significant variations with positions. In contrast to the in tensities of the low J-level transitions which gradually increase from the central source toward the outside region the HC3N emission of the high J-level transition become stronger toward the central radio continuum source MO5. Systematic chainge in the radial velocity of each line profile occurs along north-south direction there are a few peaks in most line profiles, and these indicate that there not multiple velocity components along the line of sight. Distributions of excitation temperah at and column density which were estimated from the excitation calculations show the existence of a small(IxEpc),hot(Tex> SOK) core which contains two tempegatlue peaks at -15" east and north of MDS. The column density of HCaN is (1-3):n1014cm-2. Column density at distant position from MD5 is larger than that in the (:entral region. We have deduced that this hot-core has a mass of 10sR1 which i:s about an order of magnitude larger those obtained by previous studies.previous studies.

360 Wh급 퍼스널 모빌리티용 리튬이온 배터리 팩의 열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (Numerical Study on the Heat Transfer Characteristics of 360 Wh Li-ion Battery Pack for Personal Mobility)

  • 본 논문은 퍼스널 모빌리티에 사용되는 360 Wh급 리튬이온 배터리 팩의 성능 및 안정성 확보를 위하여 리튬이온 배터리 팩의 열전달 특성에 관하여 상용수치해석 프로그램인 ANSYS v17.0의 CFX를 이용하여 수치적으로 연구하였다. 이를 위하여 퍼스널 모빌리티에 사용되는 360 Wh급 리튬이온 배터리 팩의 배터리 셀 배열을 4가지 경우로 변경하고, 배터리 셀 홀더에 사용되는 재질과 배터리 팩 케이스에 사용되는 재질을 각각 Polypropylene, Aluminium, Magnesium alloy로 변경하였다. 그 결과 배터리 평균 온도는 배터리 셀 배열이 Model 2 일 때 가장 낮게 예측되었으며, 배터리 셀 홀더와 배터리 팩 케이스 재질 변경에 따른 배터리 평균 온도는 대부분의 경우 Aluminium 일 때 가장 낮게 예측되었다. 퍼스널 모빌리티에 사용되는 360 Wh급 리튬이온 배터리 팩의 열전달 성능은 배터리 셀 배열과 배터리 팩 케이스 재질에 많은 영향을 받았으며, 배터리 셀 배열 Model 2와 배터리 팩 케이스 재질이 Aluminium 일 때 가장 높았다.

도핑된 발광층을 갖는 다층 유기발광다이오드 소자의 전기적 특성 해석 (Simulations of Electrical Characteristics of Multi-layer Organic Light Emitting Diode Devices with doped Emitting Layer)

  • 발광층에 도펀트가 도핑된 다층 유기발광다이오드 소자 구조에서의 발광 메카니즘을 검증하기 위해 전기적인 특성요인들을 수치해석 하였다. 본 논문에 적용한 유기발광다이오드 소자는 ITO/NPB/$Alq_3$:C545T(%)/$Alq_3$/LiF/Al으로 이루어져 있으며 도펀트인 C545T의 도핑 농도를 변화시킨 4종류의 소자 구조에 대해 특성 변화를 검토하였다. 그 결과 도펀트의 도핑 농도 변화에 따라서 전압-전류 특성이 변화되어짐을 확인하였고, 이는 참고 문헌에 제시되어 있는 전압-전류밀도 실험 데이터와 매우 잘 일치되었다. 또한 도펀트를 도핑시킨 소자 구조들에서 전압-휘도 특성이 대폭 향상되어 발광효율이 3배정도 향상되었다. 이와 같은 guest-host system이 적용된 유기발광다이오드 소자의 동작 메카니즘을 분석하기 위하여 소자 내부에서의 전계분포, 전하분포, 재결합율 등의 전기적인 항목들에 대한 특성의 변화를 관찰하였다.

AREVA NP's enhanced accident-tolerant fuel developments: Focus on Cr-coated M5 cladding

  • AREVA NP (Courbevoie, Paris, France) is actively developing several enhanced accident-tolerant fuels cladding concepts ranging from near-term evolutionary (Cr-coated zirconium alloy cladding) to long-term revolutionary (SiC/SiC composite cladding) solutions, relying on its worldwide teams and partnerships, with programs and irradiations planned both in Europe and the United States. The most advanced and mature solution is a dense, adherent chromium coating on zirconium alloy cladding, which was initially developed along with the CEA and EDF in the French joint nuclear R&D program. The evaluation of the out-of-pile behavior of the Cr-coated cladding showed excellent results, suggesting enhanced reliability, enhanced operational flexibility, and improved economics in normal operating conditions. For example, because chromium is harder than zirconium, the Cr coating provides the cladding with a significantly improved wear resistance. Furthermore, Cr-coated samples exhibit extremely low corrosion kinetics in autoclave and prevents accelerated corrosion in harsh environments such as in water with 70 ppm Li leading to improved operational flexibility. Finally, AREVA NP has fabricated a physical vapor deposition prototype machine to coat full-length cladding tubes. This machine will be used for the manufacturing of full-length lead test rods in commercial reactors by 2019.

논문 및 특허의 분석을 통한 국내 GM식물의 개발 현황 (Current status on the development of GM plants based on the published articles and patents in Korea)

  • 국내의 GM식물개발과 관련된 R&D사업 중 대표적이라고 할 수 있는 "바이오그린21사업"과 작물유전체기능연구사업단에서 지난 2007년부터 2009년 말 현재까지의 사업성과 중 논문과 동록 된 특허를 분석하여 본 결과 두개의 사업단을 통하여 총 1,212건의 SCI논문과 451건의 비 SCI논문, 그리고 348건의 특허를 등록한 것으로 조사되었다. 이중에서 바이오그린21사업단에서는 6.0%의 SCI 논문, 10.2%의 비SCI논문, 12.6%의 등록된 특허가 그리고 작물유전체기능연사업단의 경우에는 15.7%의 SCI논문, 21.1%의 비SCI 논문, 81.6%의 등록된 특허가 GM식물의 개발과 직접적으로 관련된 것으로 조사되었다. 개발하고자 하는 GM식물의 농업적 특성은 생물학적 스트레스 또는 무생물적 스트레스에 저항성을 갖는 작물 특히 벼와 고추가 가장 많았으나 포장시험까지 진행된 연구 성과는 아직 극히 저조한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 조사 결과는 국내에서 현재 실험실 또는 온실 단계에서 검정된 초기 단계의 GM식물의 조기상용화를 위하여 보다 많은 연구비가 투자되어야 할 것을 시사하였다.

2단 터보과급기 장착 승용디젤엔진에서 EGR 배열 방식이 EGR율에 미치는 영향에 대한 시뮬레이션 (Simulation of the Effect of EGR Configuration on EGR Rate in a Passenger Diesel Engine with Two-Stage Turbocharger)

  • 본 논문에서는 승용디젤엔진에서 유해배출물을 저감시키는 동시에 고연비를 달성하기 위하여 2단 터보과급기와 EGR 장치를 장착한 디젤엔진에 대하여 EGR 배열 방식이 EGR율에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 AMESim을 사용하였고 엔진 부품을 위하여 IFP Engine Library를 사용하였다. 고압, 저압, 반저압의 3가지 배열 방식이 고려되었다. 일반적으로 많이 사용되는 고압 방식과 저압 방식의 EGR 배열이 공연비 21에서 각각 6.4%, 10.0%의 EGR율을 보인 반면, 두 방식의 혼합형인 반저압 EGR 배열 방식의 EGR율은 18.0%의 값을 보였다. 따라서 2단 터보과급기와 EGR 장치를 장착한 엔진 설계시 엔진 성능과 유해배출물 발생량의 관점에서 반저압 방식 EGR 시스템이 적절함을 보였다.

EH40 강의 Tandem EGW 용접부 미세조직과 충격인성 특성 (Impact Toughness and Microstructure of the Weld Metal by Tandem Electro-Gas Welded EH40 Steel)

  • The charpy impact property was lower at the surface and middle regions than that at the root region in metal welded by Tandem EGW of 82 mm thick EH40-TM steel plates. Temperature distribution in the weld sample and the heating/cooling temperature throughout the various regions in the weld metal were estimated by the commercial weld simulation program SYSWELD. The microstructure of the weld metal consisted of acicular ferrite and grain boundary ferrite. Grain boundary ferrite in the acicular ferrite matrix was found more in the surface and middle regions than in the root region, and the acicular ferrite was also coarser in the surface and middle regions where the impact toughness was lower and the input temperature was higher. Our results indicated that the impact toughness property was related to the microstructure morphology, the distribution of grain boundary ferrite, and the acicular ferrite.

Piecewise exact solution for analysis of base-isolated structures under earthquakes

  • Base isolation technologies have been proven to be very efficient in protecting structures from seismic hazards during experimental and theoretical studies. In recent years, there have been more and more engineering applications using base isolators to upgrade the seismic resistibility of structures. Optimum design of the base isolator can lessen the undesirable seismic hazard with the most efficiency. Hence, tracing the nonlinear behavior of the base isolator with good accuracy is important in the engineering profession. In order to predict the nonlinear behavior of base isolated structures precisely, hundreds even thousands of degrees-of-freedom and iterative algorithm are required for nonlinear time history analysis. In view of this, a simple and feasible exact formulation without any iteration has been proposed in this study to calculate the seismic responses of structures with base isolators. Comparison between the experimental results from shaking table tests conducted at National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering in Taiwan and the analytical results show that the proposed method can accurately simulate the seismic behavior of base isolated structures with elastomeric bearings. Furthermore, it is also shown that the proposed method can predict the nonlinear behavior of the VCFPS isolated structure with accuracy as compared to that from the nonlinear finite element program. Therefore, the proposed concept can be used as a simple and practical tool for engineering professions for designing the elastomeric bearing as well as sliding bearing.

HIGH BURNUP FUEL TECHNOLOGY IN KOREA

  • High bum-up fuel technology has been developed through a national R&D program, which covers key technology areas such as claddings, $UO_2$ pellets, spacer grids, performance code, and fuel assembly tests. New cladding alloys were developed through alloy designs, tube fabrication, out-of-pile test and in-reactor test. The new Zr-Nb tubes are found to be much better in their corrosion resistance and creep strength than the Zircaloy-4 tube, owing to an optimized composition and heat treatment of the new Zr-Nb alloys. A new fabrication technology for large grain $UO_2$ pellets was developed using various uranium oxide seeds and a micro-doping of Al. The uranium oxide seeds, which were added to $UO_2$ powder, were prepared by oxidizing and heat-treating scrap $UO_2$ pellets. A $UO_2$ pellet containing tungsten channels was fabricated for a thermal conductivity enhancement. For the fuel performance analysis, new high burnup models were developed and implemented in a code. This code was verified by an international database and our own database. The developed spacer grid has two features of contoured contact spring and hybrid mixing vanes. Mechanical and hydraulic tests showed that the spacer grid is superior in its rodsupporting, wear resistance and CHF performance. Finally, fuel assembly test technology was also developed. Facilities for mechanical and thermal hydraulic tests were constructed and are now in operation. Several achievements are to be utilized soon by the Korea Nuclear Fuel and thereby contribute to the economy and safety of PWR fuel in Korea

프로젝트 성과, 사용자 만족도 및 재사용의도에 미치는 PMIS의 산업별 영향 비교 (Examining the PMIS Impacts on the Project Performance, User Satisfaction and Reuse Intention among the Project based Industries)

  • Project Management Information System (PMIS) is a special purpose information system that is created to provide useful information for project managers and participants to make effective and efficient decision making during projects. The use of PMIS is increasing in project based industries such as construction, defense, manufacturing, software development, telecommunication, etc. It is generally known that PMIS helps to improve the quality of decision making in project management, and consequently improves the project management performance. However, it is unclear what are the difference of PMIS impacts between industries, and still need to be studied further. The purpose of this study is to compare the impact of PMIS on project management performance between industries. We assume that the effects of PMIS will be different depending on the industry types. Five hypotheses are established and tested by using statistical methods. Data were collected by using a survey questionnaire from those people who had experience of using PMIS in various project related industries such as construction, defense, manufacturing, software development and telecommunication. The survey questionnaire consists of 5 point scale items and were distributed through e-mails and google drive network. A total of 181 responses were collected, and 137 were used for analysis after excluding those responses with missing items. Statistical techniques such as factor analysis and multiple regression are used to analyze the data. Summarizing the results, it is found that the impacts of PMIS quality on the PM performance are different depending on the industry types where PMIS is used. System quality seems to be more important for improving the PM performance in construction industry while information quality seems more important for manufacturing industry. As for the ICT and R&D industries, PMIS seems to have relatively lesser impact compared to construction and manufacturing industries.
