This paper describes the quick and precise control of the wafer temperature essential in rapid thermal processing(RTP). The bang-bang plus PID controller structure is introduced to satisfy rapid ramp-up rate and reduce overshoot and steady state error. The controller employs the PID action when the magnitude of the error between reference signal and the output temperature signal is smaller than some prescribed value. To find PID gains, the plant(autoregressive) model is first identified and Kappa-Tau tuning rule is used. The developed controller is applied to experimental RTP apparatus, and performances are evaluated.

The flexible solid state device has been widely studied as portable and wearable device applications such as display, sensor and curved circuits. A zero-bias operation without any external power consumption is a highly-demanding feature of semiconductor devices, including optical communication, environment monitoring and digital imaging applications. Moreover, the flexibility of device would give the degree of freedom of transparent electronics. Functional and transparent abrupt p/n junction device has been realized by combining of p-type NiO and n-type ZnO metal oxide semiconductors. The use of a plastic polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film substrate spontaneously allows the flexible feature of the devices. The functional design of p-NiO/n-ZnO metal oxide device provides a high rectifying ratio of 189 to ensure the quality junction quality. This all transparent metal oxide device can be operated without external power supply. The flexible p-NiO/n-ZnO device exhibit substantial photodetection performances of quick response time of $68{\mu}s$. We may suggest an efficient design scheme of flexible and functional metal oxide-based transparent electronics.

This paper presents a high speed synchronous single inductor dual output boost converter using Type-III compensation for power management in smart devices. Maintaining multiple outputs from a single inductor is becoming very important because of inductor the sizes. The uses of high switching frequency, inductor and capacitor sizes are reduced. Owing to synchronous rectification this kind of converter is suitable for SoC. The phase is controlled in time sharing manner for each output. The controller used here is Type-III, which ensures quick settling time and high stability. The outputs are stable within $58{\mu}s$. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves a better overall performance. The input voltage is 1.8V, switching frequency is 5MHz, and the inductor used is 600nH. The output voltages and powers are 2.6V& 3.3V and 147mW &, 230mW respectively.
The SLIM used in the conveyance system has been generally developed the controller based on the slip frequency control and the VVVF method to obtain the quick response for the position control signal. This paper deals with the trust control of the SLIM by vector control with Bang-Bang condition. Also, the control system is composed of the PI controller for soft start of the SLIM and the q-axis current controller for correction in phase with Space Vector for reducing the harmonic pulsation in low speed. The processing for vector control and robust dynamic breaking control is carried out by MC80196KC micro processor and IGBT module. The proposed scheme is verified through the computer simulation and experiments for the 10KW SLIM.
The Diffle-Hellman Key Exchange scheme can produce a common session key between the two communicators, but its problem is that it makes a man-in-the middle attack possible. To solve problems like these, several protocols have been put forward, and the Simple Authenticated Key Agreement (SAKA) Protocol is among them. This protocol has been suggested by Seo-Sweeney, Tseng, and Ku-Wang, respectively, In this paper, we will put forward a new protocol that has been improved from all the original protocols mentioned above, but is still safe and quick to use, While the existing protocol divides the common session key production stage and the verification stage, the protocol suggested in this paper takes care of both of those stages simultaneously, therefore improving the processing performance.
Since the discovery of the high-temperature superconductors, many researches have been performed for the practical applications of superconductivity technologies in various fields. As results, significant progress has been achieved. Especially, Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) offers an attractive means to limit fault current in power systems. The SFCLS, in contrast to current limiting reactors or high impedance transformers, are capable of limiting short circuit currents without adding considerable voltage drop and energy loss to power systems during normal operation. Under fault conditions, a resistance is automatically inserted into the power grid to limit the peak short-circuit current by transition from the superconducting state to the normal state, the quench. The advantages, like fail safe operation and quick recovery, make SFCL very attractive, especially for rapidly growing power systems with higher short-circuit capacities. In order to verify the effectiveness of the SFCL, in this paper, the analysis of fault current and voltage stability assessment in a sample distribution system and a transmission system are performed by the PSCAD/EMTDC based simulation method. Through the simulation, the advantage of SFCL application is shown, and the effective parameters of the SFCL are also recommended for both distribution and transmission systems. A resistive type component of SFCL is adopted in the analysis. The simulation results demonstrate not only the effectiveness of the proposed simulation scheme but also SFCL parameter assessment technique.
Effects of rotor-stator blade count ratio on the unsteady aerodynamic characteristics of a cascade was studied by using a Navier-Stokes code. Present Navier-Stokes code is a parallel code and works on a multi-cpu machine. It is based on the SIMPLE algorithm and uses QUICK scheme for convection terms and second order back difference for all temporal derivatives. Computations were carried out for two cases : case 1 is for 3 stator cascade passages subjected to two upstream wakes while case 2 is for 2 stator cascade passages subjected to three upstream wakes. Numerical solutions show that rotor-stator blade count ratio plays a significant role in the unsteady aerodynamic characteristics of the stator cascade. Case 2 shows smaller unsteady fluctuation than case 1, even if they show the same time averaged value. The smaller fluctuation of case 2 is believed due to strong interaction between unsteady vortices. The unsteady lift variation of case 2 is shown to have many high frequency fluctuations as more unsteady vortices travel around the cascade. The unsteady turbulent kinetic energy due to the upstream wake is also shown to decay faster through the cascade passage than in the free stream.

The paper describes the incorporation of an algebraic stress model(ASM) of turbulence in to a semi-elliptic solution procedure for the prediction of turbulent flow in passage around a 180.deg. square sectioned bend. The numerical results are obtained from a finite-volume discretization with applications of QUICK scheme and full find grid system without PSL approximation. Results show that the better agreements in velocity profiles with experimental data than those from k, $\varepsilon$ equation model with wall function and PSL are obtained. Predictions of Reynolds stresses also show good agreements with the experimental data.

Cavity tone is generated due to the feedback between flow and acoustic wave. It is recognized that the period is determined by the time required for the flow convection in one direction, the time required for the acoustic propagation in the other direction and the time for phase shift depending on the flows and mode. Most of the phenomena have been investigated by experiments and a simple but fundamental theory. But the cause of the phase shift and the correctness of the theory have not been clearly explained so far. In this paper, the phenomena are calculated numerically to obtain detail information of flow and acoustic wave to explain the mechanism including the phase. High order high resolution scheme of optimized high order compact is used to resolve the small acoustic quantities and large flow quantities at the same time. The data are reduced using cross correlation function in space and time and cross spectral density function which has phase information. Abrupt change in pressure near corner in cavity is observed and is relate to phase variation. The time required for the feedback between the flow and acoustic wave is calculated after the numerical simulation f3r various modes. The periods based on the time calculated using the above method and direct observation from the acoustic waves generated and propagated in the numerical simulation are compared. It is found that no phase shift is required if we examine the time required carefully. Rossiter's formula for the cavity tone used for quick estimation needs to be modified far some modes.
