콜센터 종사자의 직무스트레스와 직무만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Job Stress and Job Satisfaction of Call Center Employees)

  • Purpose - Although various studies have been conducted on the stress of service employees, there are still lack of studies regarding job stress and job satisfaction of call center workers. Especially there are quite few studies on the job stress according to employment type. This study focused on job stress and job satisfaction for call center employees and the correlation between the two factors and aimed to provide basic materials for seeking for the plans to reduce job stress and improve job satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology - Frequency, percentage, and mean value were calculated through descriptive statistics in order to find out demographic characteristics, level of job stress, and job satisfaction. Differences in job stress according to employment type were calculated by using one-way ANOVA. Correlation between job stress and job satisfaction were identified through empirical analysis with Pearson's correlation coefficient. 150 materials were used for final analysis. The collected materials were analyzed to get statistics by using SPSS 20. Results - First, as for the job stress of call center workers, overall mean value was 2.54 in 4-point scales. Among the six sub-factors, job demands had the highest score, which was 2.67. Second, as for the job stress according to employment type, others showed higher score than mean value followed by contract job and full-time job in that order, in terms of job insecurity and organizational system. In terms of inappropriate remuneration, contract job showed higher score than mean value followed by others and full-time job. Third, as for the satisfaction with job, the mean value was 2.37 in 4-point scale and "very much satisfied" was only 3.3%. Lastly, in terms of job stress and job satisfaction, all sub-factors except for job demands showed significant correlation. The more job stress increased, the more job satisfaction decreased. Conclusions - First, as a result of analyzing job stress according to the employment type of call center workers, job stress increased more when the employment type was not full-time. Therefore, it was assumed that self-rescue efforts should be followed for effective employment management of call center business where contract employment takes most part as well as efforts to transfer them to full-time job. Second, decrease in job satisfaction of call center workers may affect the performance of an organization as well as service quality of the company providing the service. Therefore, various supports are required to decrease job stress and increase job satisfaction for call center workers through the expansion of rest area or break time. Third, I could recognize that there were lack of academic research on call center business in the whole service industry. Therefore, further research should be conducted more actively in the future. In particular, this study has special significance in the aspect that there were few studies on the job stress of call center workers according to employment type.

지역별 치위생과 학생들의 교육환경 및 전공 만족도 조사 (A study on educational environments for students from department of dental hygiene and their satisfaction level with the major in different regions)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the curriculum, educational facilities and employment guidance of the departments dental hygiene in junior colleges in different regions and the satisfaction level of students with their major in an effort to provide some information on the improvement of educational environments and satisfaction level with the major. Methods : The subjects in this study were 315 dental hygiene students in several junior colleges located in Seoul, Gangwon Province and South Jeolla Province. A survey was conducted during a 15-day period from April 15 to March 1, 2010. Results : As for educational environments and satisfaction level with the major, they gave 3.18, 2.95 and 3.11 respectively to satisfaction level with curriculum, facilities/employment guidance and the major. In terms of satisfaction with educational environments by academic year, the juniors and seniors expressed much satisfaction with the qualifications of professors, the preparation of labs and practice devices, the utilization of labs and practice devices and a supply of employment information. By region, the students from the metropolitan area were satisfied a lot with curriculum, the qualifications of professors, practice-centered curriculum, the preparation of labs and practice devices, the utilization of labs and practice devices, the system of employment guidance and a supply of employment information. By credit, the students tho got A expressed lots of satisfaction with the quality of instruction. Concerning satisfaction level with their major by academic year, the juniors and seniors were highly satisfied with relationship with dental hygiene professors and social status of dental hygienists. By school location, the students from the metropolitan area expressed a lot of satisfaction with the content of major courses and social status of dental hygienists. Conclusions : In order to boost the satisfaction level of students in non-metropolitan areas, colleges should try to improve educational environments, and full-fledged assistance should be provided to them.

A Study on the Expansion of the Employment of the Elderly in Small Business: Focusing on the Opinions of Small Business Owners

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to present a plan to expand the employment of the elderly in Small business as one of the ways to solve the problem of the supply and demand of the company due to the aging population and the problem of the elderly poverty. Research design, data and methodology: The method of this study is a qualitative research method, and the researcher visited a small and medium-sized company directly and collected data by conducting an in-depth interview with a business owner. The interview period was conducted on a total of 15 business owners from November 5, 2013 to November 18, 2013. Results: First, the reason why companies hire the elderly is because they are suitable people, and the reason why they are not employed is because the elderly are not suitable. Second, it was found that the most recruiting paths continued to work after retirement. Third, the strengths of the elderly in their businesses were diligence, integrity, leadership, wisdom, warmth, and skill. Disadvantages the elderly in their businesses include wanting to be treated as an adult, poor productivity, poor accuracy, and health risks. Fourth, in case of hiring the elderly, they were considering convergence with young employees, and it was suggested that there are no difficulties in being an elderly because the companies hiring the elderly use the elderly according to the characteristics of the elderly. Fifth, It is realistic to actively utilize the employment system after retirement. Sixth, it was found that, unlike young people, it is not easy to recruit people on the Internet, so it is necessary to improve the system. Lastly, some industries clearly distinguished between the jobs of the elderly and the jobs of the young, but in many industries, it was desirable to create jobs for the elderly by harmonizing the main and secondary jobs. Conclusion: Ultimately, the work of the elderly in small and medium-sized enterprises should be reborn as a high-quality job that can solve the poverty of the elderly by working as a regular worker in the enterprise, rather than simply working for the elderly.

  • 의인화는 시각커뮤니케이션 비롯한 여러 문화콘텐츠에 사용되는 매우 흔한 표현기법 중 하나이며 특히 아동용 콘텐츠는 거의 대부분 의인화 기법에 의존하고 있다. 또한 의인화는 시 문학을 비롯한 다른 여러 문화예술 분야에서도 다양한 사례를 살펴볼 수 있다. 함축된 언어로 이미지와 내용을 전달하는 시의 의인화와 역의인화 사례를 분석해보면 의인화 요소 가운데 인간과 인간이 아닌 것 사이에 대등한 작용과 역작용이 가능한 것을 확인 할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 의인화에 대한 개념과 요소를 재정립하고 이를 토대로 역의인화에 대한 개념을 정의하고 그 사례에 대해 분석하였다. 또한 역의인화 기법으로 소통하는 여러 양질의 사례 가운데 단편 애니메이션 "TheEmployment고용"의 캐릭터 분석은 향후 시각문화콘텐츠 분야의 역의인화 기법에 대한 학문적 자료로 활용 될 수 있다.

요양보호사의 고용특성과 시설장에 대한 변혁적 리더십 인식이 서비스 질에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Impact of Care Workers' Employment Characteristics and Perception of Facility Directors' Transformational Leadership on Quality of Service)

  • 본 연구는 요양보호사의 고용특성과 시설장에 대한 변혁적 리더십 인식이 서비스 질에 미치는 영향을 위계적 선형모형(Hierarchical linear model)을 통해 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시에 위치한 45개의 노인 장기요양시설에 거주하는 노인 240명과 장기요양서비스를 제공하는 요양보호사 200명을 대상으로 설문자료를 수집하고, SPSS 26.0과 HLM 8.0을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 시설장에 대한 변혁적 리더십 인식은 서비스 질에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만 요양보호사의 고용특성 중 고용형태와 근무시간은 부(-)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 요양보호사가 정규직인 경우, 근무시간이 적을수록, 요양보호사들이 인식하는 시설장의 변혁적 리더십이 높을수록 서비스 질이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 임금, 총경력, 근속기간은 서비스 질에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 정책적 제언을 제시하였다. 첫 번째, 요양보호사의 시급제 비정규직의 지위를 월급제 정규직화하기 위한 인센티브제 활용 및 급여체계 개편과 관련예산 확보, 나아가 전문성 강화를 바탕으로 근본적인 직업적 가치 인정을 통한 고용안정 강화 노력이 필요할 것이다. 장기요양의 공공성 강화 및 거점 공공장기요양시설 설립을 통한 지향 모델 제시 또한 방안으로 제시될 수 있을 것이다. 두 번째, 근로기준법상 요양보호사의 근로시간, 휴게시간, 연차 사용 등을 준수하는 등 적정 근로시간 유지 및 야간 근무자에 대한 수당 강화와 근무시간 감소 노력이 필요하다. 세 번째, 시설장의 변혁적 리더십 고취를 위한 교육과 개입이 필요하며, 시설장의 자격 기준을 강화해야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서 제안한 요양보호사의 고용안정 및 근무시간에 대한 정책적 지원과 시설장의 변혁적 리더십 증진을 위한 정책적 지원은 정책 입안자들뿐만 아니라 현장의 종사자들이 서비스 질 제고를 위한 방안으로 활용할 수 있다는 측면에서 중요한 의미가 있다고 할 수 있다.

간호사의 비정규직 고용실태 및 관련요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Nurses' Contingent Employment and Related Factors)

  • Korean labor market has showed remarkable change of the increase in the amount of unemployment and contingent employment since IMF bailout agreement. There is a theoretical position to explain this increase in contingent employment at hospitals with the notion of flexibility. The high flexibility of employment due to the increase of contingent employees is becoming very important part in new business strategy of hospitals. The types of contingent employment of the nurse are part-time employment temporary employment, fixed-term employment, and internship which was introduced in early 1999. Recently, Korean health care industry managers have paid attention to the customer oriented service, rationalization of business administration, service quality control so that they can adjust their business to outer environment. Especially their efforts concentrate on the wage reduction through efficient and scientific control of man power because wage shares about 40% of total cost. This dissertation aims at verifying the phenomena of the contingent employment of the nurse and analyzing the related factors and problems. To rephrase these aims in ordinal: First, verifying the phenomena of contingent employment of the nurse. Second, verifying the problems of that phenomena. Third, analyzing the related factors of the contingent employment of the nurse. To accomplish these research goals, a statistical survey was executed. in which 384 questionnaires-66 for manager nurses, 318 for contingent nurses - were given to nurses working at 66 hospitals-which have at least 100 beds-in Seoul. Among them, 187 questionnaires-38 from manager nurses, 149 from contingent nurses'- 'were returned. Then, the data coded and submitted to T-test, $X^2$ -test, variance analysis(ANOVA), correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, Logistic Regression with SAS program. The research results of the contingent nurses are followings: 1. The average career term at the present hospital 8.4 months: duty-on days per month are 24.2 days: working time per day is 7.9 hours. These results showed little difference from regular nurses. 2. Their wage level is about 70% of regular nurses except for internship nurses whose wage level is 41% of regular nurses. To break down the wage composition, part-time nurses and internship nurses get few allowance and bonus. And contingent nurses get very low level of additional pay except for fixed-term nurses who are under similar condition of employment to regular nurses. These results show that hospital managers are trying to reduce the labor cost not only through the direct way of wage reduction but through differential treatment of bonus, retirement allowance, and other additional pay. 3. The problem of contingent employment: low level of pay; high level of turn-over rate: weakening of union; low level of working condition: heavy burden of work; inhuman treatment. The contingent nurses consider these problems more seriously than manager nurses do. What manager nurses regard problematic is the absence of feeling-belonged and responsibility of the contingent nurses. 4. The factors strongly related with the rate of the number of contingent nurses for the number of regular nurses; gross turn-over nurses; average in-patients per day; staring wage of graduate from professional college: the type of hospital ownership; the number of beds; the gap between gross newcomer nurses and gross turn-over nurses. The factors related with their gross wage per month; the number of beds; applying of health insurance; applying of industrial casualty insurance; applying of yearly-paid leave; the type of hospital ownership; average out-patients per day; gross turn-over nurses. The meaningful factors which make difference by employment type: monthly-paid leave; physiological leave. The logistic regression analysis using these two factors shows that monthly-paid leave is related with the type of hospital ownership; the number of beds; average out-patient per day, and physiological leave is related with the gross newcomer nurses; gross turn-over nurses; the number of beds.

Preliminary Psychometric Properties of the Chinese Version of the Work-Related Quality of Life Scale-2 in the Nursing Profession

  • Objectives: As quality of work-life (QWL) among nurses affects both patient care and institutional standards, assessment regarding QWL for the profession is important. Work-related Quality of Life Scale (WRQOLS) is a reliable QWL assessment tool for the nursing profession. To develop a Chinese version of the WRQOLS-2 and to examine its psychometric properties as an instrument to assess QWL for the nursing profession in China. Methods: Forward and back translating procedures were used to develop the Chinese version of WRQOLS-2. Six nursing experts participated in content validity evaluation and 352 registered nurses (RNs) participated in the tests. After a two-week interval, 70 of the RNs were retested. Structural validity was examined by principal components analysis and the Cronbach's alphas calculated. The respective independent sample t-test and intra-class correlation coefficient were used to analyze known-group validity and test-retest reliability. Results: One item was rephrased for adaptation to Chinese organizational cultures. The content validity index of the scale was 0.98. Principal components analysis resulted in a seven-factor model, accounting for 62% of total variance, with Cronbach's alphas for subscales ranging from 0.71 to 0.88. Known-group validity was established in the assessment results of the participants in permanent employment vs. contract employment (t = 2.895, p < 0.01). Good test-retest reliability was observed (r = 0.88, p < 0.01). Conclusion: The translated Chinese version of the WRQOLS-2 has sufficient validity and reliability so that it can be used to evaluate the QWL among nurses in mainland China.

간호대학생의 교육서비스품질이 학생만족과 행동의지에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Quality of Education Service for Nursing Students on their Satisfaction and Willingness to Engage in a Specific Behavior)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생을 대상으로 교육서비스품질을 교육프로그램, 교수, 교육환경, 명성과 취업으로 구성하여 학생만족을 통한 행동의지에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 경남 1개 대학 간호대학생 350명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였으며, 최종 321부를 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 통계분석을 하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 간호대학생이 인지하는 교육서비스품질의 구성개념 모두 학생만족에 유의한 정(+)의 영향이 있으며 명성과 취업, 교육프로그램, 교육환경, 교수의 순으로 영향력의 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 학생만족은 행동의지에 유의한 정(+)의 영향이 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 간호대학생의 교육서비스품질을 높이기 위한 질 관리가 필요하며 영향력의 상대적 크기를 반영하여 체계적인 관리가 요구된다.

한국 제조기업의 기술혁신, 고용, 기업성과 간 관계에 대한 3SLS 분석: 고용의 양적·질적 특성 관점에서 (3SLS Analysis of Technology Innovation, Employment, and Corporate Performance of South Korean Manufacturing Firms: A Quantity and Quality of Employment Perspective)

  • 본 연구는 기업의 기술혁신이 고용과 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 변수 간 양방향 인과관계를 고려하여 분석하였다. 기술혁신의 대리변수는 기업의 특허출원 수이며, 분석대상은 100인 이상 규모의 국내 제조업체이다. 실증분석의 경우 기술혁신(특허출원), 고용(근로자 수, 숙련 근로자 비중), 기업성과(근로자 1인당 매출액)가 종속변수인 연립방정식 모형을 3단계 최소자승추정법(3SLS)으로 추정하였다. 외생변수로 기업의 경영상 특성과 일반적 특성을 통제하였고, 각 방정식의 식별변수로 R&D집약도, 근로자 1인당 노동비용(또는 기업부설연구소 보유 여부), 교육훈련투자를 사용하였다. 분석자료는 인적자본기업패널(HCCP)의 1차년도(2005년)~7차년도(2017년) 자료이며, 이를 NICE신용평가정보(주)의 기업 재무자료 및 한국 특허청의 특허정보와 병합하여 사용하였다. 분석결과에 의하면, 기업의 특허출원이 활발할수록 근로자 수, 숙련 근로자 비중, 근로자 1인당 매출액이 모두 증가하였고, 반대 방향의 인과관계도 모두 유의하였다. 따라서 기업의 기술혁신은 고용의 확대 및 질적 제고뿐 아니라 기업의 지속적인 성장에도 기여하는 것으로 확인된다.

청년층 미취업의 실태 및 원인 분석 (An Analysis of the Factors of Youth Unemployment and Nonparticipation in Korea)

  • 본고는 청년층의 실업 및 비경제활동의 실태를 살펴보고 그 원인을 분석해 보았다. 청년층 비경제활동인구를 가사 육아 학업 훈련, 기타의 범주로 구분하고 선택편의 모형 및 다항로짓 모형으로 미취업자들의 시장가능임금 을 추정하고 실업 및 비경제활동의 선태 요인을 분석하였다. 분석의 결과 미취업자의 희망임금과 시장가능임금의 차이가 실업보다는 학업 훈련 범주나 기타의 범주에 속하는 비경제활동 청년에게서 크게 나타났다. 남성, 연령이 적을수록, 저학력일수록 희망임금과 시장가능임금의 차이가 크게 나타났다. 취업 및 실업, 비경제활동의 선택에서 남성, 고연령, 가구주, 자격증 소지자일 경우 취업의 선택 확률을 높이고 비경제활동의 선태 확률은 낮추는 것으로 나타났다. 청년층의 첫 직장 경험은 취업을 선택할 확률을 크게 낮추고, 실업 및 비경제활동을 선택할 확률을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 현재 청년층의 취업의 질이 극히 낮은 수준임을 반영하는 것이라 파악할수 있다.
