  • This study was conducted to determine the nutritive value of live yeast culture (RumiSacc, Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and to investigate its effects on milk yield, milk composition and some blood parameters in lactating cows. Six multiparous Holstein cows were allocated to two groups of three cows and assigned randomly to one of two diets in a cross-over experiment. Daily 50 g RumiSacc was top dressed at the p.m. feeding for the treatment group. RumiSacc supplied a high protein and energy with high organic matter digestibility values (83.35%) determined by in vitro enzymatic analysis. Yeast culture supplementation significantly increased milk yield, tended to increase fat yield, protein yield and lactose yield of milk. Methylated fatty acid level of 18:3 (n-3) in milk fat was increased by yeast culture supplementation. The concentrations of methionine, phenyalanine, tyrosine, tryptophan and taurine were significantly increased with dietary inclusion of yeast culture. Live yeast culture supplementation did not affect other performance characteristics, milk quality characteristics and blood parameters. As a conclusion live yeast culture (RumiSacc, Saccharomyces cerevisiae) had high nutritive value and positive effects on milk production and some milk quality characteristics in lactating cows under field conditions.

  • This study was carried out to determine the differences in the growth, grain yield, and seed quality of sesame plant according to seeding date between P,E. vinyl-house and outdoor cultures. Reproductive growth period in vinyl-house culture was shorter than in outdoor culture. Stem length and capsule setting length of sesame were much longer in vinyl-house culture than in outdoor culture. Also, number of capsules per plant and 1,000 grain weight in vinyl-house culture were higher, specially the grain yield was approximately 57% more than in outdoor culture. In vinyl house culture, sesame plants sown on June 8 had longer capsule setting length, more capsules per plant, higher 1,000 grain weight, and higher percent ripened grain at the upper part of the capsule settings than those sown in May 9. They also had higher 1,000 grain weight at the middle and lower part of the capsule settings compared to May 9 seeding. However, no difference in grain yield of in seeding dates was observed. In outdoor culture, sesame plants, which was sown on May 9, had more effective branch number and capsule number and plant compared to those sown on June 8. Though sesame plants sown on May 9 had lower percent ripened grain at the upper and middle part of the capsule settings and lower 1,000 grain weight, the seed yield was similar to those sown on June 8. No difference in chromaticity value $L^*$ of sesame seeds between two culture conditions was observed. The $a^*$ value was higher in vinyl-house culture than outdoor culture while $b^*$ value was higher in outdoor culture. Sesaminol triglucoside content of sesame seeds was higher in vinyl-house culture than in outdoor culture. On the other hand, the content of sesamin and sesamolin from sesame seeds in vinyl-house culture were lower than in outdoor culture.

  • The purposes of this study are to identify quality factors of knitwears, to find out important attributes of knitwears quality, and to find attributes of knitwears quality which improvement are required. College students in the Seoul district participated in the study, a convenience sampling method was used. A questionnaires was arranged with three separates subject sections, importance degree of knitwears quality, satisfaction degree of purchased knitwears, and demographic factors. Data from 280 questionnaires were used for the statistical analysis. For data analysis, factor analysis, paired-samples t-test and multiple response frequency were conducted. The results were as follows. Knitwears quality factors were classified into six subdivisions by factor analysis; physical functions, yarn and fabric properties, fit, symbol, aesthetic, and usefulness. Quality attributes in purchasing knitwears were considered importantly in order of design, textures, color, price, size, and shape stability, etc. Among quality attributes on knitwears, there were significant differences in importance degree and satisfaction degree; important degree was higher than satisfaction degree to six factors on knitwears quality. Especially, in graph according to gap analysis, physical function and symbol were included in IV area, attributes that attention, required of quality improvement. In contrast, yarn and fabric properties, fit, aesthetic, and usefulness were included in I area, strengths, maintained presently quality levels.

  • This research investigates the relationship between the information quality, service quality, and system quality of lodging apps and the users' expectations, level of satisfaction, and intent to continue using them. For this objective, 418 respondents participated in a survey. To evaluate the hypotheses, the collected data were examined using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical software. This study constructed a model using information quality, service quality, system quality, expectancy, satisfaction, and intention to continue using the pre- and post-use relationship of users of accommodation applications. The results of testing the hypotheses indicated that system quality had no significant effect on expectancy, system quality and service quality had no significant effect on satisfaction, and all other hypotheses had significant effects. The conclusion of this research is that the app's system quality, including access speed, access barriers, and privacy, does not satisfy pre- and post-use expectations. In addition, the system quality and service quality of the application have little effect on the app's satisfaction. The information quality of the application has a considerable impact on expectation confirmation and satisfaction, expectation confirmation has an impact on satisfaction, and expectation confirmation and satisfaction have an impact on intention to continue using.

The results showed that perceived price was positively related to employee service quality and food and beverage quality and that servicescape was positively related to employee service quality and food and beverage quality. However perceived price, servicescape, employee service quality, and food and beverage quality were not related to customer value. The reasons were that these factors did not influence perceived customer value in Daegu Korean restaurants. The Daegu municipal office should require these restaurants to develop distinguished employee service and food and beverage quality and conduct consistent marketing to Koreans and westerners, so that these restaurants can become the food mecca of Korea and the world.

A demonstrative study was conducted using a questionnaire on adults over 20 years old who were considered to afford to purchase clothes. A total of 650 questionnaires were distributed, and among them, 380 were used for the demonstrative analysis. The study used SPSSWIN V.8.0 for the analysis. Factor analysis and reliability analysis were introduced as analysis methods using the varimax rotation to classify consumer evaluative criteria for clothing purchasing. In addition, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, 1-test, multiple regression analysis, and duncan test are executed. The study result is as follows. First. expectation, importance and performance are examined by customer quality perception. Four factors- practicability, care, aesthetics, and symbolism- are classified through the factor analysis of 19 evaluative attributes based on importance. Second, differences of quality perception f3r expectation, importance and performance were found partly in customers' demographic characteristics. Third, the influential relation of satisfaction and quality perception is examined. Aesthetics and practicability have significant influence on the general satisfaction of evaluative attributes by performance.
