  • This article introduces definition and theoretical background of the managing records for ISO 9000 compliance, especially, quality record management and describes the method of establishing efficient system for the control of quality records in engineering corporation. To establish the best control system of quality records, the organization must not only understand ISO Code requirements for quality record completely but also identify the documents to be controlled as a quality records correctly. This will provide the guidance which need to establish the system for quality control to the organization which produces documents in accordance with ISO Code requirements.

  • This study deals with a case analysis on the implementation of ISO 9000/14000 Integrated Management System. The intention is to provide some general guidelines, in particular, to small-to-medium-sized companies that are planning to introduce the Integrated Management System. First we briefly review each of the ISO 9000 series, ISO 14000 series and Integrated Management System. We then investigate the case of a small-sized company that have built and is successfully operating the Integrated Management System. We start with introducing the company, and then examine the background and the procedure for implementing the Integrated Management System. We investigate effects of the Integrated Management System, which are the main focus of this paper. This study is meaningful in that, to our best knowledge, it is the first field report appearing in the literature in regard to the actual implementation of ISO 9000/14000 Integrated Management System in Korea.

  • ISO 9000 series, as quality management system that assesses quality system based on the documentation such as quality manual, documented procedures, specification is properly operated and then decides to give a certification, is a screening documented system that includes factors which may influence quality. Therefore, to have a proper documented system and its performance accordant to it is very important to the company which hopes to acquire the certification of ISO 9000 series. So, the objectives of this paper are to increase the efficiency of the work by cutting down efforts necessary to establish and revise documented procedures for the certification of the ISO 9000 series in the company using the documentation system.

  • The chemical industry has been a leader in the number of registrations for many decades. The big chemical companies in Korea were clearly committed to ISO 9000 and had strong senior management support. However, not many people in the chemical industry are familiar with ISO 9000 and understand how to develop a ISO 9000 quality manual and how to organize a campaign to get the ISO 9000 registration. The purpose of this paper is to briefly summarize the key concerns of chemical companies and how companies can address those concerns and conform to the various elements of the ISO 9000 standards. The case studies of two domestic and foreign companies in establishing ISO 9000 quality system are also discussed.

  • This paper studied about effects of the certificate of ISO 9000 in the manufacturing companies whose number of employee is under three hundred. First, most of company answered that acquiring the certificate of ISO 9000 is very helpful for the company management. therefore the company has the competence in the change of domestic and international economy. Second, after acquiring the certificate of ISO 9000, there were many improvements in company culture, quality control and business process productivity. As a result, the acquisition of the certificate of ISO 9000 system makes the company culture preparing the future to become a world first class company.

  • ISO 9000 is a management standard that provides customers with assurance thu their registered suppliers have a consistent quality system to which they adhere. this paper draws on four sources to show how ISO 9000 can lead to performance improvement. 1)theories of induces innovation and improvisation 2) the literature on ISO 9000 3) a case study of a telecom company. we find that the extent to which ISO 9000 is associated with performance improvement depends on the level of its assimilation, and the degree to which an organization goes beyond the minimal requirements of the standard.

ISO 인증 중소기업의 사후관리에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on the ISO 9000 Follow-up Management Practices of Korean Small Enterprises)

  • The ISO 9000 Follow-up Management Practices (FMP) as an integrated area including training, QM systems, management commitment, customer focus, communication and related issues are examined. A sample of 191 small and medium-sized firms data from mail survey is analyzed by the SPSSWIN. A model of FMP including three factors (Systems, Training, and Customer Focus) is introduced. In this paper, a focus is laid on the comparison between ISO 9000:1994 vs. ISO 9000:2000 or 05 9000 certificates and between groups classified by the time length after certification, and on regression relationships between FMP level and business performance. The result shows that the difference of FMP level is significant between two versions and between groups. Quality level and system satisfaction are influenced significantly by the three factors.

  • This thesis is to research for analysis of ISO 9000 Quality Management System application status of small & medium-sized Industrial Companies. For this research, 10 companies certified by ISO 9000 standard were selected. By using an evaluation method and a software for analysis of application, this thesis compared, analyzed and evaluated the application status before and after certificate of ISO 9000, and identified the performance and difficulty of QMS application, and then proposed improvement methodology for ISO 9000 effective application.

국방 품질경영시스템 인증제도의 효과 (The Effectiveness on the Certification of the Defense Quality System)

  • The objective of this paper is to analyze the effect of the defense quality certification system on the military user's dissatisfaction. In this paper, an empirical research is performed to compare the effectiveness of ISO 9000 : 2000 and Korea Defense Quality Certification system 0050-9000. The research result shows that (1) the Defense Quality system is better than ISO 9000 : 2000 to reduce the military user's dissatisfaction level. (2) the Quality Assurance types 4, 5 have more user's dissatisfaction than types 2, 3. (3) small and medium sized companies have more user's dissatisfaction than large companies.

  • ISO 9000 has brought about significant positive effects to the quality management system and quality improvement. This paper develops effective and flexible ISO 9000 quality system based on telecommunication manufactured goods with CSU(Channel Service Unit), ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line), Fiber Optic Multiplexer, HDSL(High-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line), FDSU(Flexible Data Service Unit), 73 DSU(Digital Service Unit). The case studies of venture telecommunication corporation in establishing ISO 9000 qualify system are also discussed.
