The Study for Developing Evaluation Tool of Child-Care Websites on the Internet (인터넷상의 육아관련 사이트 평가 도구개발)

  • Web sites on the internet are excellent information resources for the consumers to gain health care knowledge. Especially web sites related to child-care more increase recently. But a concern has emerged for the quality of contents contained on the child-care web sites. Lack of evaluation criteria have led to inaccurate and misleading child-care related publications on the Internet. For evaluating the quality and reliability of child-care related information on the Web, rating tool should be provided and developed. So, this article reviewed and investigated the elements to evaluate child-care sites on the internet. On the basis of the review of articles and the validity test about the contents, 16 preliminary items including purpose, contents, authority, feedback, design developed. Through the pilot study that apply the preliminary evaluating criteria to 20 evaluating criteria for child-care web sites developed. This evaluating criteria have 24 items and that were categorized to purpose(2 items), detail of contents(16 items), authority(2 items), feedback(2 items), design(4 items). The result of this study suggest that the evaluation criteria for child-care web sites may be useful for evaluating the quality of child-care web sites.

  • This study aims to develop a Park Performance Assessment Tool (PPAT) to qualitatively evaluate the level of urban neighborhood park services. The Park Performance Assessment Tool (PPAT) development process is as follows. First, a pool of evaluation items was formed by analyzing domestic and foreign cases related to the Park Performance Evaluation Tool (PPAT). Second, evaluation items were refined considering domestic park conditions through expert advisory meetings and pilot evaluations. Third, the reliability of the Park Performance Evaluation Tool (PPAT) was verified through pilot evaluations. Fourth, weights for each evaluation item were derived through an expert survey and AHP analysis. Fifth, a Park Performance Evaluation Tool (PPAT) evaluation table and evaluation guidelines were prepared. The developed Park Performance Assessment Tool (PPAT) was applied to 22 neighborhood parks in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon to evaluate the quality of the physical environment. As a result of the evaluation, several urban neighborhood parks that need improved park services were identified. The Park Performance Evaluation Tool (PPAT) is expected to be used to establish a basic plan for parks and green spaces, select priority and project promotion methods for park maintenance projects, and certify excellent parks

  • The purpose of this dissertation is to develop a tool for enviromental evaluation which measures a level of physical quality in renovated rural houses and to find out the physical environment conditions of the renovated houses in rural area. To achieve these purposes, criteria for the evaluation of physical environment were built up based on practical knowledge which have been found in books and through the fold survey. Elements of evaluation tool consists of Safety, Health, Efficiency that are basic elements in the Hygienic Quality of Housing in WHO. As a results of this study, a three-level of physical environments suggested that a basic level, a inductive level and a proper measure level in renovated rural houses.

  • The quality and productivity in machining automobile parts are influenced by various factors such as cutting conditions, vibration, and used tool. To improve the quality and productivity of the automobile parts(torsion beam), lots of research on the evaluation of tool life and control of surface roughness has been required. Therefore, the width of flank wear, cutting force, and surface roughness are monitored to analyse the characteristics of tool wear and surface roughness at different tools. This experimental investigation is mainly focused on the characteristics of the tool wear, tool life and surface roughness in multi-insert milling of automobile parts(torsion beam) by using uncoated tungsten carbide tool(WC), TiN coated tool, and cermet tool.

  • Today's manufacturing industry is facing challenges from advanced difficult-to-machine materials (WC-Co alloys, ceramics, and composites), stringent design requirements (high precision, complex shapes, and high surface quality), and machining costs. Advanced materials play an increasingly important role in modem manufacturing industries, especially, in aircraft, automobile, tool, die and mold making industries. The greatly-improved thermal, chemical, and mechanical properties of the material (such as improved strength, heat resistance, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance), while having yielded enormous economic benefits to manufacturing industries through improved product performance and product design, are making traditional machining processes unable to machine them or unable to machine them economically. In this paper, mechanical characteristic evaluation test of fine powder type WC-Co alloy was accomplished to obtain clear data for miniaturized special die parts machining with high reliability and high quality.

Development of a Measurement Tool of Caring to Evaluate Quality of Nursing Care (환자간호의 질 평가를 위한 돌봄(caring) 측정도구의 개발)

  • It is important to find indicators of quality nursing care to establish the excellence of nursing practice and for the development of nursing as a profession. Caring is one of the indicators which can represent professional nursing care. The purpose of this study was to develop a measurement tool of caring that could be used as an instrument for the evaluation of quality of nursing care. The Target population for the developed tool of caring is the adult patient. The mearsurement tool of caring was developed through the following steps. (1) A list of caring behaviors was made using qualitative researches on caring that has been done in Korea. (2) Caring behaviors in nurses were selected using the list of caring behaviors developed from Watson's 10 factors of caring. (3) Items for the measurement tool of caring were developed using the caring behaviors of nurses (4) Content validity of the developed items was evaluated by an expert panel. (5) The mearsurement tool of caring was developed after a pilot study (6) Internal consistency, and construct validity of the developed tool were verified. (7) The mearsurement tool of caring with the items verified for the internal consistency and construct validity was confirmed. As a result of the study, a mearsurement tool of caring, composed of 27 items with 3 factors, was developed. The Reliability coefficient of the tool was. 9578. The tool is a 5 point Likert scale. The factors of the tool and the number of items for each factor are, 1) accessibility and availablility, 15 items ; 2) emotional support and giving information, 8 items ; 3) providing a protective environment, 4 items.

A Suggestion on Instruction Service Quality Assessment Tool (강의 서비스품질 측정도구 제안)

  • The instruction assessment, which can be a tool to realize a class of high quality, evaluates instruction system and process. The result data of the instruction assessment is analysed and used to reorganize lecture contents or to improve teaching method. It enhances qualitative level of university education. The goal of the instruction assessment is to be a tool that provides high qualitative education to raise students' satisfaction. It is important to improve education service quality through instruction assessment as a useful tool for measuring service quality. The suggestion of valid tool for improving instruction service quality is described in this paper.

How Can We Develop and Make Use of the Quality Assessment Tool of Web-Based Instruction(WBI) for Nutrition Education\ulcorner (웹기반 영양교육 프로그램의 질 평가도구 개발 및 활용가능성 탐색)

  • The purposes of this study were to: a) develop the quality assessment tool of Web-based Instruction (WBI) for nutrition education, b) evaluate the operated WBI (NutriZone) by this tool, and c) do the feasibility study about quality assessment tool for WBI by establishing the instruction and operating strategies. The developed quality assessment tool of WBI for nutrition education was divided into three categories of instruction design, contents and support & operation. And a total of forty items were measured by Likert 5 point scale, computed as one point per item, and amounted to forty points in all. As a result of evaluation, NutriZone got 21.79 out of 40 points and fulfillment rate of 54.5%. The IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) was applied to establish the instruction and operating strategies, and nine items characterized as attractiveness, multimedia, and learner-initiative were in 'Doing Great, Keep It Up', and so it was regar-ded as program designed with concern in WBI's characteristics unlike the conventional face-to-face education. But twelve items such as 'Errors on switch to other screens are few.', 'Ready correction leads to be out of systemic error.', 'Highlight marks and moving pictures were used in sign of importance.' and etc. that got high importance and low performance needed to be focused in instructional strategy.

The Development of a Quality Measurement Tool for a Contract-Managed Hospital Foodservice (병원 위탁급식 품질관리를 위한 품질평가도구 개발)

  • The purposes of this study were: a) to develop the a quality measurement tool for the contract-managed hospital foodservice, and b) to evaluate their performance with the developed quality measurement tool, and c) to verify the reliability and validity of the quality measurement tool. The developed quality measurement tool comprised two parts, which were foodservice management and medical nutrition care service. The foodservice management part was classified into six functional categories which were Menu, Procurement and Storage, Production and Distribution, Facility and Utility, Sanitation and Safety, and Management and Evaluation. The medical nutrition care service part indicated the medical nutrition care provided. Quality measurement tool had 91 standards and 324 indicators. The quality measurement tools were distributed to the hospital foodservice manager employed by the foodservice company. The 324 indicators were measured by foodservice manager on the 5-Likert-type scales, and then adapted to a 100 point scale. The SPSS Ver. 11.0 was used for statistical analysis. The categories whose scores were evaluated as being high were Procurement', General Sanitation', Personal sanitation' and Waste' and the categories whose scores were evaluated as being low were Diet Order Manual', Standard Recipe', Appropriateness (Facility and Utility)', Check (Facility and Utility)'and Information Management'. All the categories of medical nutrition service were evaluated as having seriously low scores. Therefore, it was necessary for the contract-managed hospital foodservice to improve its performance in the area of medical nutrition care service. For the verification of the developed quality measurement tool, the reliability obtained by calculating Cronbach's α was 0.8747, and the content validity was also proved by scrutiny of the modification of the Professional group's techniques. An Application of Total Quality Management Efficiency Model in the Korean Distribution Industry

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the efficiency of the service quality activity itself by using the DEA Model, in contrast to previous quality evaluation methods, as an attempt to evaluate the service quality activities of the distribution industry. Furthermore, by complementing the shortfalls of the weighted value of the DEA Model, it recommends a DEA/PS Model that is appropriate in the evaluation of service quality activities. Based on this model, the study proposes the SQAE Model, an evaluation tool to complement the traditional measuring method. According to the results of the analysis of 18 sample distribution businesses, there was a discrepancy by business in the results of the Traditional Scoring System and the Evaluation Measuring System. Therefore, it is most desirable to not only be active in service quality activities but also increase efficiency at the same time.
