연구개발사업에 QFD(품질기능전개)를 적용한 시험평가 항목 선정에 관한 연구 (The Study of the Test and Evaluation Item Applies QFD in Research & Development Progject)

  • Purpose: Test & Evaluation items are main contents which verify performance of the development system and they are deduced going through project management system stages. However, there is no systematic or standardized framework for Test & Evaluation items, so a lot of differences occur between projects and people are questioning whether verification items are selected for the optimization of the development system. In this regard, this research proposes the process of deducing Test & Evaluation items in a systematic way during a development stage by applying QFD (Quality Function Deployment) technique which reflects customers' requirements. Methods: Test & Evaluation items are recognized as customers' requirements, and QFD technique which refines and gathers various requirements of customers effectively during general products' development stage is applied to complete HOQ (House of Quality) Conclusion: There is no specific methodology for Test & Evaluation items, so currently, they are selected by including items which are given by similar projects or higher authorities. However, by utilizing QFD technique, selection of evaluation items which goes through more systematic process is expected to be possible.

도서관 서비스 품질 향상을 위한 QFD 적용에 관한 사례 연구 (A Case Study on Applying QFD to Improve Library Service Quality)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 도서관의 서비스 품질을 평가하고 향상시키기 위해 이용자 요구에 기반을 둔 QFD 모델을 적용하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 D대학도서관의 서비스가 사례로 사용되었다. QFD는 고객의 요구 사항이 제품이나 서비스 개발의 각 단계에 반영될 수 있도록 하는 강력한 품질 경영 도구이다. 도서관 서비스 분야에 QFD 기법을 적용하기 위해, 먼저 이용자로부터 요구 사항을 도출하고 이용자의 만족도, 중요도, AHP 분석을 위해 포커스그룹인터뷰를 실시하였다. 다음으로 도서관 실무자와 전문가 그룹 인터뷰를 통해 기술 특성을 도출하고 품질표 및 상관관계를 정의하였다. 최종적으로 CUPID 프로그램을 사용하여 각 단계에서 수집되고 해석된 데이터를 입력함으로써 D 대학도서관 서비스의 품질향상을 위한 품질의 집을 완성하였다. 본 연구는 도서관 서비스 품질 향상을 위한 도구로서 QFD 적용과 그 방법에 보다 초점을 맞추고 있다.

어린이용 휴대폰 기능 및 설계 요소에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Function and Design Factors of Mobile Phones for Children)

  • These days mobile phone which were used mainly by grown-up persons are now widely used among children as well due to new social demands. Despite this trend, existing mobile phones are still being designed and produced according to the taste of people in their 20s and 30s, even the elderly, not satisfying physical, emotional and cognitive characteristics raised by children. This study aimed to extract the design factors of mobile phones for children by reflecting functional factors requested by children and parents in QFD's customer demands. First, functional and design factors requested in mobile phones for children were extracted from existing products and documentary records and some functional factors were selected through a process of integration and omission. The survey research was conducted on children and parents, based on the selected functional factors. Based on the survey research, functional factors were analyzed using AHP, and key functional factors considered by children and parents in mobile phones for children were investigated. Finally, in order to reflect the results in QFD, the correlation between functional factors and design factors was constructed as HOQ through experts' evaluation. The results showed that both children and parents recognized the basic functions such as telephoning, text messaging and phone directory as high priority functional factors, even though the relative importance was different between children and parents. Therefore, it is likely to satisfy the desires of both children and parents by designing mobile phones for children in consideration of design factors such as menu depth, button independence and button arrangement. It is expected that this study will promote experiments on design factors and propose basic data for and guidelines to mobile phone design for children.

항만물류 서비스 품질 분석을 위한 DMQFD 모형의 개발 (Development of DMQFD Model for Analysis of Port Logistics Service Quality)

  • This study define the concepts of port logistics service by investigating various elements of port logistics service and grouping them in six attributes using a Data Mining technique. The QFD (Quality Function Deployment) technique is applied to measure the quality of port logistics service, and those results are analyzed. The DMQFD (Quality Function Deployment using Data Mining) model proposed in this study is a model for analyzing of port logistics service quality which is produced by combining those two stages. Using the DMQFD model, the requirements of customer could understand more correctly and systematically, and it could be an alternative tool to accomplish a customer satisfaction.

통계적 유의성을 고려하여 고객 요구속성의 중요도를 산정하는 방법 (A Method to Determine the Final Importance of Customer Attributes Considering Statistical Significance)

  • Obtaining the accurate final importance of each customer attribute (CA) is very important in the house of quality(HOQ), because it is deployed to the quality of the final product or service through the quality function deployment(QFD). The final importance is often calculated by the multiplication of the relative importance rate and the competitive priority rate. Traditionally, the sample mean is used for estimating two rates but the dispersion is ignored. This paper proposes a new approach that incorporates statistical significance to consider the dispersion of rates in determining the final importance of CA. The approach is illustrated with a design of car door for each case of crisp and fuzzy numbers.

Corrective TIR Determination with Reflecting Effectiveness and Adjusting Relationship Strength

  • The customer unsatisfaction in the new products exists, though the most of enterprises using QFD. It is mainly caused by the failure of corrective determination of technical importance rating(TIR). To derive the technical importance rating, the impact of the fulfillment of design requirements on the satisfaction of customer requirements must first be quantified. This has been accomplished through the use of a 1-3-9 or a 1-5-9 scale and ignored the peak of the house of quality(HOQ). In this paper we suggested the methodology reflecting effectiveness among engineering characteristics and adjusting the relationship strength between customer attribute(CA) and engineering characteristic (EC), by using limit probability and PCMR(pairwise comparison and median rank). With using this method, the determination of TIR would be more suitable for the voice of customers objectively. Here negative correlation is ignored.

소비자 감성을 고려한 소파 설계 DB 및 Interface 개발 (Development of Data Base and Interface for Sofa Design Considering Consumer Sensibility)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop data base and interface for sofa consumers and sofa designers. The human sensibility ergonomics method was used to find the consumer needs and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method was used to extract the designing characteristics required for sofa production. About 200 words and 100 images were gathered from sofa and furniture related catalogs and internet sites to find the best emotional words and images that can express the various sofa aspect. Among the collected words and images, 34 emotional words were selected for sensibility experiment according to the opinions of experts, relations of closeness and frequency of use, and 50 images were selected for the experiment by the diversity. Selected words and images were used for the semantic differential method with 94 subjects, and sensibility characteristics of sofas were defined through various statistical analysis methods including basic statistical analysis, factor analysis and multi-dimensional scale. In reflecting design characteristics of sofas, design factors of sofas were divided into backrest, seat, armrest, neck support and leg, and relative importance of each factor for design was determined with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) by utilizing the experts' opinions. Based on the results above, relationship analysis between emotional evaluation results and design factors was performed. Also, as various sofa images are presented diagrammatically through multidimensional scaling method, it can be used as an important tool for the development of sofa design. This study will contribute improving the product quality of sofas as it enables applying consumer needs into the sofa design.
