  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the local asymptotic stability of equilibria, the periodic nature of solutions, the existence of unbounded solutions and the global behavior of solutions of the fractional difference equation $$x_{n+1}=\frac{^{{\alpha}x}n-1(k+1)}{{\beta}+{\gamma}x^p_{n-k}x^q_{n-(k+2)}}$$, $$n=0,1,{\dots}$$ where the parameters ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$, ${\gamma}$, p, q are non-negative numbers and the initial values $x_{-(k+2)}$,$x_{-(k+1)}$, ${\dots}$, $x_{-1}$, $x_0{\in}\mathb{R}^+$.

  • The coupled conduction and convection heat transfer from a protruding heated module in a horizontal channel with a variation of channel height is experimentally investigated. The input power to the module is 3, 7W and thermal resistance of module support is 0.06 , 1.03 and 158K/W. the Reynolds number ranged from 350 to 4500 corresponding to the inlet velocity(0.4~1.3 m/s) and channel height(11~35 mm). The results were obtained that the decrease of thermal resistance of module support reduces the module temperature by redistributing the heat flux and the overall thermal resistance of the module. In the study the effect of channel height is very significant in the adiabatic condition, but negligible in the conjugate condition. Finally, correlations for Nusselt number and $Q_B$/Q with a variation of Reynolds number were developed respectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 기계학습 및 기계학습 기법 중에서도 Markov Decision Process (MDP)를 기반으로 하는 강화학습에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 강화학습은 기계학습의 일종으로 주어진 환경 안에서 의사결정자(Agent)는 현재의 상태를 인식하고 가능한 행동 집합 중에서 보상을 극대화할 수 있는 행동을 선택하는 방법이다. 일반적인 기계학습과는 달리 강화학습은 학습에 필요한 사전 지식을 요구하지 않기 때문에 불명확한 환경 속에서도 반복 학습이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 일반적인 강화학습 및 강화학습 중에서 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 Q-learning 에 대해 간략히 설명한다.

  • Consider the system (i) x'=Ax. Let ${\Phi}$ be its fundamental matrix solution. If there is w>0 such that A(t+w)-A(t) commutes with ${\Phi}$ for all t, then we call this system a "generalized" Floquet system or a "G. F. system". We show that $A(t+w)-A(t)=B_1$=constant if and only if $A(t)=C+B_1t/w+Q(t)$, Q is periodic of period w>0. For this A(t) We prove that if all eigenvalues of $B_1$ have negative real parts, then the origin is asumptotically stable. We find a growth condition for a continuous D(t) which guarantees that all solutions of z'=[A(t)+D(t)]z are bounded if all solutions of the G. F. system (i) are bounded. Combining the foregoing results yield a class of perturbed G. F. operators all of whose solutions are bounded.

한국 주요 어종의 시장수요와 개인수요의 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis of Market Demand and Individual Demand for Major Fish Species in Korea)

  • Inverse demand models are well established as market demands in theory and practice of the existing literature. However, the derivation and its interpretation of individual demands from the market demands are not well known in the literature. This paper analyzes the fish market in Korea by the inverse demand model and shows how we deduce the consumer's responses from the market responses when the markets determine the prices by the quantities demanded. It illustrates empirically how this can be done applying to the korean fish market data. The empirical results show that all fishes are price inflexible and mackerels and hairtails are scale flexible in the market demand while mackerels, hairtails, and croakers are price elastic and mackerels and hairtails are income inelastic in the individual demand. The methodology and empirics used in the paper will make a contribution to the existing literature especially for the purpose of recovering consumer's demand from the market demand, thus implementing the policies to administer the fish markets.

  • In this study, microwave dielectric properties of 0.182BaO-0.818TiOS12T ceramics were investigated with sintering temperature and annealing time, and the application for the microwave dielectric resonator was studied. In the specimen simtered at 1400[$^{\circ}C$], dielectric constant, unloaded Q and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency had good values of 35.36, 5692, -4.43[ppm/$^{\circ}C$], respectively. The specimen which temperature coefficient of resonant frequency($\tau$f) was vared positive to negative value was selected, thereafter microwave dielctric properties was investigated with annealing time(0~4[hr]) in the fixed annealing temperature of 1350[$^{\circ}C$]. Increasing the annealing time, dielectric constant and unloaded Q were increased and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency was decreased.

  • It is proved [6] that there exists a basis of $L^\Gamma$ (the space of meromorphic vector fields on a Riemann surface, holomorphic away from two fixed points) represented by the vector fields which have the expected zero or pole order at the two points. In this paper, we carry out the same task for the quadratic differentials. More precisely, we compute a basis of $Q^\Gamma$ (the sapce of meromorphic quadratic differentials on a Riemann surface, holomorphic away from two fixed points). This basis consists of the quadratic differentials which have the expected zero or pole order at the two points. Furthermore, we show that $Q^\Gamma$ has a Lie algebra structure which is induced from the Krichever-Novikov algebra $L^\Gamma$.

  • In this paper, we shall be concerned with evaluation of multifractal Hausdorff measure 𝓗q,t𝜇 and multifractal packing measure 𝓟q,t𝜇 of Cartesian product sets by means of the measure of their components. This is done by investigating the density result introduced in [34]. As a consequence, we get the inequalities related to the multifractal dimension functions, proved in [35], by using a unified method for all the inequalities. Finally, we discuss the extension of our approach to studying the multifractal Hewitt-Stromberg measures of Cartesian product sets.

  • Kleefstra syndrome is caused by chromosome 9q34.3 deletion or heterozygous mutations in the Euchromatin Histone Methyl Transferase 1 (EHMT1) gene. The prevalence is estimated 1:25,000 to 1:35,000. Intellectual disability, distinctive facial features, hypotonia in childhood can be accompanied. The spectrum of Kleefstra syndrome includes behavioral/psychiatric problems, hearing and visual impairments, seizures, congenital heart defects, genitourinary defects, and obesity. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the pathophysiology and various manifestation of Kleefstra syndrome and discussing with a multidisciplinary team will help diagnose and treat Kleefstra syndrome patients.

Quantification of Allantoin in Yams (Dioscorea sp.) Using a 1H NMR Spectroscopic Method

  • Allantoin is an abundant component of yams and has been known as a skin protectant due to its pharmacological activities. In previous methods for allantoin determination using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), the separation was unsatisfactory. We herein developed a 1H quantitative nuclear magnetic resonance (qNMR) method for quantification of allantoin in the flesh and peel of yams. The method was carried out based on the relative ratio of signals integration of allantoin to a certain amount of the internal standard dimethyl sulfone (DMSO2) and validated in terms of specificity, linearity (range 62.5-2000 ㎍/ml), sensitivity (limit of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) 4.63 and 14.03 ㎍/ml, respectively), precision (RSD% 0.02-0.26), and recovery (86.35-92.11%). The method was then applied for the evaluation of allantoin in flesh and peel extracts of four different yams cultivated in Korea.
