Analysis of Phase Current Ripple and Torque Ripple of a 6-Phase PMSM Controlled by Interleaved PWM (인터리브드 PWM 방식의 6상 영구자석 동기전동기 전류 맥동 및 토크 맥동 분석)

  • In this paper, phase current ripples and torque ripples of six-phase PM synchronous motor controlled by interleaved PWM are analyzed. The cause of the increase of phase current ripple in the interleaved PWM was mathematically analyzed based on the mutual inductance of stator windings and effective voltage vector. Simulation and experiment verified that the DQ current ripple and torque ripple can be reduced by interleaved PWM control. The FFT analysis of torque waveform confirmed that the magnitude of harmonic torque corresponding to double the PWM frequency was reduced.

  • 본 논문은 단상 3레벨 조건에서 unipolar 및 bipolar PWM의 구현 및 동작에 대해 서술하였으며, 교류전기철도용 전력보상장치의 병렬 운전 상황에서 unipolar PWM과 bipolar PWM에 따른 인터리빙 효과에 대해 비교하였다. 또한, unipolar PWM 조건에서 전력보상장치의 3병렬과 4병렬 시스템의 인터리빙 결과에 대해 비교하였다. 이를 통해 단상 unipolar PWM을 사용한 병렬 시스템의 인터리빙이라는 특수한 조건에서는 PWM 캐리어의 180° phase shift가 포함되는 2병렬 및 4병렬의 경우 마치 bipolar PWM처럼 동작하여 스위칭 리플의 저감효과가 기대한 결과보다 낮음을 확인하였다. 따라서 스위칭 리플의 저감 측면만을 고려한다면 전력보상장치의 병렬 시스템은 180° 캐리어가 포함된 4병렬 시스템보다 120° 캐리어를 사용하는 3병렬 시스템이 유리한 것을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 PWM 방식을 이용한 THERMO-CON 제어 회로를 제안하였다. 제안한 회로는 정전압을 형성하기 위한 레귤레이터, 신호를 처리하기 위한 op-amp, 삼각파를 만들기 위한 OSC, 그리고 부하의 상태를 감지하기 위한 AMC 와 ISC 로 구성된다. 테스트 결과 서지 전압인가 시 PWM 방식으로 동작하여 회로의 P/sub D/(Power Dissipation)을 줄여 소자의 파괴를 막고 중부하 시(여러 개의 릴레이 구동 시) PWM 동작을 하여 소자의 파괴를 막는다는 것을 확인하였으며, 출력 쇼트 시 쇼트보호회로에 의해 출력 트랜지스터의 파괴를 막는다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • SV_PWM inverter for Induction motor drive system was designed at SIMULINK environment in MATLAB. This paper was performed the analysis of output current harmonics using DSP blockset. It was roved in this paper that SV_PWM method has been ore effective than triangle comparison PWM method on harmonic reduction at steady state.

  • 대용량 반도체 소자인 IGCT를 사용하여 철도차량용 AC-to-DC 단상 PWM 컨버터를 제작 실험하였다. 컨버터의 용량을 향상시키기 위해 2대의 PWM 컨버터를 병렬 운전하였으며 병렬운전시 각각의 컨버터 스위칭각을 다르게 제어하여 각 컨버터의 전류 리플을 상쇄시켜 전원의 고조파 함유를 줄였다. 출력전압제어는 입력전류의 측정 없이 내부 계산에 의해 수행하였으며 단위역률을 제어하기 위해 소프트웨어적으로 간단히 PLL을 수행하였다.

  • This paper presents a n analysis of the output voltage waveforms of the double sinusoidal modulated PWM inverter, and are studied on the driving characteristics through the 3 phase induction motor using 6502 microcomputer. The double sinusoidal modulated waves are produced during the interval 4$\pi$/3 [rad] for one cycle, and the switching loss can be reduced. The amplitude of fundamental wave of double sinusoidal modulated PWM inverter is 1.15 times higher than that of the sinusoidal PWM inverter, but the practical measured value by FFT analyzer is 1.13 times.

  • In conventional zero-current-switching(ZCS) PWM converters, the switching loss, stress and noise can't be minimized because they adopt auxiliary switches operated in hard-switching. In this paper, new ZCS-PWM converters of which auxiliary switches always operate with soft-switching are proposed. Therefore, the proposed ZCS-PWM converters are most suitable for systems requiring high-power density. The characteristics of these converters are verified by experimental results.

  • In recent years H-bridge multievel inverters have been focused on and selected as the power inverter in several high voltage and high power application. This paper proposes an new PWM method for the multievel H-bridge inverter systems. The proposed PWM method is a carrierwave-based space vector PWM method which utilizes the phase voltage redundancies considering both the switch and conduction loss of the devices. We describe the new PWM method in detail and the effectiveness of the new PWM method is verified by the simulation results.

  • A new PWM method for voltage source inverters is described. The switching instants determination of the proposed PWM scheme is simple. Therefore, hardware implementation with a microprocessor system is easy and high frequency operation of an inverter can be obtained. The maximum line-to-line output voltage of 3-phase inverter with the proposed scheme is larger than that of the SPWM inverter under a linear modulation region. Principle of the proposed PWM method is described and harmonic characteristic analysis is carried out.

  • This paper proposes the hybrid PWM scheme that can obtain less harmonic characteristics in GTO inverters. By employing the variable of the dc-link voltage Vdc, the hybrid PWM pattern can ideally compensate the dc input fluctuation together with selected harmonics elimination. The transient behavior, which the magnetic flux and torque are altered and the large current flows instantly, may be produced when the mode change. To reduce such an undesirable transient behavior, it is also presented the technique for the gear changing of inverter operated with the hybrid PWM. The results are verified by simulations and experiments.
