  • In this paper, we investigate the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of a bi-Jensen functional equation $4f(\frac{x\;+\;y}{2},\;\frac{z\;+\;w}{2})$ = f(x, z) + f(x, w) + f(y, z) + f(y, w). Also, we establish improved results for the stability of a bi-Jensen equation on the punctured domain.

  • Nitrogen solubility in liquid Fe and Fe-C alloys has been measured by the levitation melting method under 1 atm $N_2$ pressure. Experiments were carried out at the temperature range of $1774-2097^{\circ}K$ and carbon content of 0-5.06wt%. The nitrogen solubilities measured in pure Fe and Fe-C alloys were $log(wt%N)_{Fe}=-424/T-1.129$ and $log(wt%N)_{Fe-C}=-[424/T+1.129+(%C)/19.14{5447/T-0.612}+(%C)^2/19.14$ 2478/T-1.265].

  • Let ∑(p)(p ∈ N) be the class of functions f(z) = z/sup -p/ + α/sub 1-p/ z/sup 1-p/ + α/sub 2-p/z/sup 2-p/ + ... analytic in 0 < |z| < 1 and let M(p, λ, μ)(0 < λ≤ 2 and 2λ(λ - 1) ≤ μ ≤ λ²) denote the class of functions f(z) ∈ ∑(p) which satisfy (equation omitted). The object of the present paper is to derive some properties of functions in the class M(p, λ, μ).

  • In this paper we modify two indicators related to the global avalanche criterion (GAC) and discuss their properties. Also, we apply the modified indicators to measure the GAC of S-boxes of DES.

  • For continuous maps f of the circle to itself, we show that (1) every $\omega$-limit point is recurrent (or almost periodic) if and only if every $\omega$-limit set is minimal, (2) every $\omega$-limit set is almost periodic, then every $\omega$-limit set contains only one minimal set.

  • In [5], Zhu introduces a bounded operator T from $L^{\infty}$(D) into Bloch space B. In this paper, we will consider the generalized Bloch spaces $B_{q}$ and find bounded operator from $L^{\infty}$(D) into $B_{q}$.

  • A Hilbert space operator T is a 2-isometry if $T^{{\ast}2}T^2\;-\;2T^{\ast}T+I$ = O. We shall study some properties of 2-isometries, in particular spectra of a non-unitary 2-isometry and give an example. Also we prove with alternate argument that the Weyl's theorem holds for 2-isometries.
