펄스 레이저 증착법으로 layer-by-layer 성장시킨 $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7}$ 박막의 초전도특성 (Superconducting properties of layer-by-layer grown $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7}$ thin film prepared by pulsed laser deposition)

  • C-축으로 배향된 고품질 $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7}$ 박막을 펄스레이저 증착법으로 $SrTiO_{3}$(100) 기판위에 제작하였다. STO 기판을 고온 산소열처리로 원시세포 높이의 테라스가 발달한 atomic-flat한 표면상태로 가공하였으며, 이 기판위에 최적의 조건에서 증착된 $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7}$ 박막은 원시세포단위로 층상으로 적층 성장됨을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 박막은 임계온도${\ge}90$ K, 전이폭${\le}0.6$ K, 상온비저항${\sim}300{\mu}{\Omega}cm$, 잔류저항${\sim}0$ 및 임계전류밀도${\sim}4.6{\times}10^{6}A/cm^{2} $의 초전도 특성을 나타내었다.

Sensing Properties of Ga-doped ZnO Nanowire Gas Sensor

  • Pure ZnO and ZnO nanowires doped with 3 wt.% Ga (‘3GZO’) were grown by pulsed laser deposition in a furnace system. The doping of Ga in ZnO nanowires was analyzed by observing the optical and chemical properties of the doped nanowires. The diameter and length of nanowires were under 200 nm and several ${\mu}m$, respectively. Changes of significant resistance were observed and the sensitivities of ZnO and 3GZO nanowires were compared. The sensitivities of ZnO and 3GZO nanowire sensors measured at 300℃ for 1 ppm of ethanol gas were 97% and 48%, respectively.

  • Electromagnetic analysis has been made for the design of 3 MJ Compulsator (Compensated Pulsed Alternator, CPA) that will be used as the power supply system of the electrothermal-chemical launcher system. using finite element method with ANSYS/Emag. From the analysis results, it was possible to decide the excitation MMF and the rotor/stator size to obtain the desired output current. And using electromagnetic forces from the analysis results. the stresses on the components of 3 MJ CPA could be analyzed. The detailed design based on the analysis results has been made and the fabrication of 3 MJ CPA is in progress. Before assembling components into 3 MJ CPA. an experiment is being made to check the correspondence between analysis results and measurements.

  • In this study, we propose a small high voltage power supply which use a half-bridge ZCS resonant and Cockroft-Walton on circuit, for ESP (Electrostatic Precipitator). This power supply transfers energy from ZCS resonant inverter to step-up transformer and the transformer secondary is applied to the Cockroft-Walton circuit for generating high voltage as discharging source of electrodes. It is highly efficient because its amount of switching losses are reduced by virtue of the current resonant half-bridge inverter, and also due to the small size, low parasitic capacitance in the transformer stage owing to the low number of winding turns of the step up transformer secondary combined with the Cockroft-Walton circuit. From these results, the best operational condition is obtained at the switching frequency of 9 kHz and the duty ratio of 50 % in this ESP.

  • THE CARBODY AND BOGIE FRAME OF AN URBAN RAILWAY VEHICLE CONSIST OF MULTI-LAYERED WELDING STRUCTURE. IN KOREA ENDURANCE LIMIT OF AN URBAN RAILWAY VEHICLE IS STSTED IN THE RULE OF MANAGING URBAN RAILWAY VEHICLE UNDER THE LAW OF URBAN RAILWAY. IN KOREA AN URBAN RAILWAY VEHICLE IS DESIGNED AND MADE TO KEEP ITS QUALITY OVER 25 YEARS. WHEN THE RAILWAY VEHICLE BECOMES 25 YEARS OLD, CORROSION OF CARBODY AND UNDER FRAME OF A RAILWAY VEHICLE IS EVALUATED ACCORDING TO THE NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING. IT CAN BE USED AS LONG AS 40 YEARS. IT IS STATED IN THE ARTICLE 4 'THE METHOD AND STANDARDS OF PRECISE DIAGNOSIS' UNDER THE RULE OF MANAGING RAILWAY VEHICLE IN KOREA. SO, IN THIS STUDY, WE HAVE INVESTIGATED PERFORMANCE OF PULSED EDDY CURRENT TESTING METHOD BY MEASURING THICKNESS VARIATION OF FABRICATE OF CARBODY AND UNDER FRAME FOR URBAN RAILROAD CAR. AND THEM, THE PROCESS OF EVALUATING REMAINING LIFE ACCORDING TO TESTING OF CORROSION AMOUNT IS INTRODUCED.

Improved Field Emission Currents of Carbon Nanotubes after Laser Irradiation

  • Field emission (FE) currents were measured for silver-pasted and glass-pasted single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) after illuminating the tubes with a pulsed 532 nm laser. A very low turn-on field of approximately 0.4 V/m m and a high current density ~1700 $\mu A/cm^2$ at 3.5 V/m m was obtained for the silver-pasted SWNTs after laser irradiation but on the whole, no improvements were found for the glass-pasted SWNTs. Two roles of laser irradiation for the silver-pasted SWNTs were proposed. First, the embedded SWNTs and SWNT bundles inside the silver paste were immerged on the outer surface due to an instantaneous melting or annealing of the silver metals by the laser resulting in an increase of the field emission sites. Second, the laser irradiation was thought to improve the electrical contact between SWNTs and the silver metal by reducing the contact resistance via laser-induced thermal annealing, which was responsible for increasing the FE currents.

  • In a wide variety of high-voltage applications surface flashover plays major role in the system's performance and yet has not been studied in great detail for atmospheric conditions with modem diagnostic tools. surface flashover for both direct current and pulsed voltages in considered. within the setup, parameters such as geometry, material characteristics of the applied voltage can be altered. This paper review surface flashover of insulator, primarily in atmosphere. It discusses theories and models relating to surface flashover and experimental results. surface flashover of insulators in atmosphere generally is initiated by the emission of electrons from the cathode triple junction point (the region where the electrode, insulator, air). the electrode material was copper, and a AC voltage was applied between the electrodes. these results were compared with the surface flashover characteristic of epoxy.

극성반전에 따른 공간전하 분포와 전도전류의 변화 (Study on the effects of space charge and conduction current by reversal of polarity)

  • 본 논문에서는 고분자 절연체가 인가된 전압의 시간에 따라 변화하는 공간전하와 전도 전류의 영향에 대하여 조사를 하였다. 또한 극성반전에 따른 공간전하의 분포와 전도 전류에 변화에 대한 연구를 실시하였다. 기존의 공간전하 분포 측정법들은 주로 고분자 절연재료 내에서 공간전하분포의 측정만을 목표로 한 반면에 공간전하 측정법 중의 하나인 PEA(Pulsed Electro-Acoustic method)을 개선시켜 공간전하와 전도전류의 동시 측정을 가능하게 하였다. 개선된 PEA법은 시간변화에 따른 공간전하와 전기전도의 직접적인 상관관계와 미리 형성 되어 있는 공간전하가 전기전도 및 절연특성에 미치는 영향을 직접적으로 분석할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 공간전하와 전류의 동시 측정법을 이용하여 연구하였다.

ZnO 바리스터의 펑처 현상에 관한 보로노이 시뮬레이션 (Voronoi Simulation on the Puncture Phenomena of ZnO Varistors)

  • ZnO Varistor is an electronic ceramic device to absorb the surge voltage from low voltage to high. To investigate the puncture mechanism occurring in NnO varistor, the Voronoi simulation for formulating the relation between the applied voltage and the increase of the temperature inside grain is applied. The Voronoi network can realize the structure of the practical varistor better than the established simple network. Using the current through each grain and the voltage applied to the grain, Joule heating energy is calculated and the phenomenon that the puncture occurs can be analyzed quantitatively by simulating the electric and thermal characteristics according to the externally applied pulsed voltage.
