Analysis of multi-channel photoplethysmograph parameter by the changes of arterial characteries (동맥계 다채널 용적맥파 특징 파라미터 분석에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we implement the photoplethysmo-graphy system that have three channel pulse wave detects and one channel ECG amplifier. In order to detect the artery state, we measured the pulse waves at different positions, simultaneously. In general, arterial vascular system suffers the decrease of compliance, increase of resistance, and decrease of distensibility through aging. Therefore, we compared and analyzed variation of tile Pulse waves parameter both in time and frequency domains that is concerned with the changes of arterial characteries. And then evaluated the correlation coefficients between the parameters variation and the age group. As the result of experiment, we found that the Parameters have a significant correlation about aging.

Analysis of Effects of Phase Noise in Radar System (위상잡음이 레이더 시스템에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • In this paper, the effects of phase noise on the radar system were analyzed in terms of 3 point of view. The impact(s) on the compressed pulse waveform, the FMICW(Frequency Modulated Interrupted Continuous Wave) radar performance and the receiver sensitivity were investigated. From the investigation, it was indicated that the phase noise over 10 kHz offset frequency makes the side lobe level of compressed pulse worse. Also it was founded that the FMICW radar performance, especially at the noise level of range profile, is related to the phase noise. Finally, the investigation showed that the phase noise at local oscillator affects the receiver sensitivity.

  • In this paper Li-polyer batteries, which are in use of EV recently, are used. The Li-polymer batteries have high density of energy and invulnerability of the fluids and explosion. It is confirmed that the DC-bias pulse mode/cc mode characteristics on charge by designing Fast-charging system designed in three phase PWM and full-bridge converter.

  • BPF(block pulse function) has been used widely in the system analysis and controller design. The integral operational matrix of BPF converts the system represented in the form of the differential equation into the algebraic problem. Therefore, it is important to reduce the error caused by the integral operational matrix. In this paper, a new integral operational matrix is derived from the approximating function using Lagrange's interpolation formula. Comparing the proposed integral operational matrix with another, the result by proposed matrix is closer to the real value than that by the conventional matrix. The usefulness of th proposed method is also verified by numerical examples.

  • MM(multimode) PWM(pulse width modulation) Suitable for high performance and harmonic effects minimization of VSI (voltabge source invertetr)-IM (induction motor)drive system is proposed. The approximated optimal, suboptimal and optimal PWM are implemented in the low frequency range, while square wave operation is realized in the hibh frequency range. The pulse width Modulator is capable of generating control signals to a transistorized inverter operating at about 1KHz. All functions except digital comparison have been implemented in softyware making the scheme economical, flexible and reliable. Pulse width modulator is built and tested experimentally. In order to confirm the effectiveness and the reliability of the theoretical proposition, this scheme is applied to 1Hp, Three phase IM. As results, it is concluded that the scheme of MM PWM is superior to other conventional switching scheme through the discussions or analysis carried out on the items such as line-to-line voltage, current and spectrum of current harmonic components observed at the output terminal of inverter, noise level of motor.

  • Our studies diagnose insulation degradation using the method of PD system. In analysis method of degradation, we make use of degradation information that analyzed the phase angle - PD pulse amplitude - degradation time( $\Phi$- PDA - t) pattern and phase angle- PD pulse number - degradation time( $\Phi$- PDN - t) pattern using statistical operators such as skewness(S), kurtosis(K). Secondly using statically operator such as the center of gravity (G), the gradient of the discharge distribution(C), we have analyzed for the prediction of life which we can be obtained the time, occurred of many pulse of small discharge amplitude.

  • In this study a two-stage fast pulse generaor using magnetic switches is proposed. The scheme consist of a switch, an inductor and two pairs of capacitor and saturable inductors, a linear transformer. The basic principle and the operation are described using a set of given parameters. The main issue of the magnetic pulse genration scheme is the system efficiency. This study focuses on the system efficiency improvement using magnetic switches. The voltage compression ratio, energy transfer with respect to core area are investigated. The output voltage and transferred energy as a function of input voltage are also included. Also, an analysis and experiments are performed to verify the porposed topology by implementing a 10[J] class experimental circuit. The efficiency of the transferred energy a tload side is 82%.

Analysis of an AC/DC Resonant Pulse Power Converter for Energy Harvesting Using a Micro Piezoelectric Device

  • In order to harvest power in an efficient manner from a micro piezoelectric (PZT) device for charging the battery of a remote system, a new AC/DC resonant pulse power converter is proposed. The proposed power converter has two stages in the power conversion process. The first stage includes N-type MOSFET full bridge rectifier. The second stage includes a boost converter having an N-type MOSFET and a P-type MOSFET. MOSFETs work in the $1^{st}$ or $3^{rd}$ quadrant region. A small inductor for the boost converter is assigned in order to make the size of the power converter as small as possible, which makes the on-interval of the MOSFET switch of the boost converter ultimately short. Due to this short on-interval, the parasitic junction capacitances of MOSFETs affect the performance of the power converter system. In this paper, the performance of the new converter is analytically and experimentally evaluated with consideration of the parasitic capacitance of switching devices.

  • An analysis of handling characteristics of a vehicle is performed for step and pulse steering input, which may be very useful in suspension design stage. Many developed computer programs for vehicle dynamics require test data of compliance effects for proto type car. Therefore, these programs are not suitable for automobile development stage. Using the raw design data of suspension and steering system, we analyze the vehicle behavior for step and pulse steering input with commercial multibody dynamics program, ADAMS. Simulated results are in good agreement with vehicle test results. Vehicle handling characteristics parameters which are very useful in automobile suspension design are evaluated from the analysis.

  • In most EW ES equipment, S/W is developed before H/W development. The important thing is the validity of S/W algorithm should be tested before the integration between H/W and S/W. For S/W-alone test, the digital threat signal generation for the signal analysis system is needed. This paper is proposing the simulated IF signal generation which is similar with the real signal.
