본 연구는 지역사회 공론장으로서 공공도서관의 역할을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 공공도서관이 운영한 공론장 사례에 대한 분석을 통해 공론장에서 나타나는 도서관 역할의 주요 특징과 의미를 고찰하였다. 데이터 수집은 서울 성북구립도서관의 공론장을 운영한 사서와의 면담을 통해 이루어졌다. 수집된 데이터의 주제별 분석을 위해 NVivo를 사용하여 코딩하였다. 연구 결과, 공론장에서 확인된 도서관 역할의 주요 특징과 의미는 1) 지역 주민의 만남과 소통, 교류의 장, 2) 주제에 대한 정보제공과 토론을 통한 주민의 학습과 성장 지원, 3) 지역사회의 주민 참여를 확대하고 시민으로서의 역량 강화, 4) 지역 주민의 민주주의 경험을 확대, 5) 도서관에 대한 지역 주민의 인식 개선과 주민에 대한 도서관의 영향력 확대라는 다섯 가지 유형으로 나타났다. 특히 이 연구에서는 도서관의 정보서비스를 통해 공론 주제에 대한 시민의 상호작용과 공론 확산이 강화되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이 연구의 결과는 도서관이 지역사회 공론장으로 개발되고 지원되기 위한 근거로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

대다수 국가에서 공공도서관은 지역사회를 위한 지식정보 및 복합문화의 허브이자 만남과 소통을 위한 제3의 장소다. 근래의 공공도서관은 디지털 전환과 4차 산업혁명 시대에 부응하기 위해 디지털 기술을 이용한 핵심역량 제고와 서비스 확장에 주력하고 있다. 그런데 COVID-19 팬데믹이 발생한 이후 공공도서관에서 폐관, 재개관, 부분 폐관이 반복되자 비접촉, 디지털, 온라인 대체서비스를 제공하는데 모든 자원을 투입하고 있으며 향후에도 계속될 것으로 예상된다. 이에 따라 미래 공공도서관은 디지털 확장성, 복합문화공간화, 지식정보서비스 장소로서의 중요성이 상충되는 트릴레마에 직면할 수밖에 없다. 본 연구는 포스트 코로나 시대의 공공도서관 트릴레마를 담론화하고 극복 방안을 제시하였다. 미래 공공도서관의 지향성은 다중성과 다목적, 장소와 공간, 지식정보와 복합문화, 대면접촉서비스와 비대면 원격서비스를 아우르는 화이부동이다. 공공도서관의 본체는 손가락(디지털과 비접촉)이 아니라 달(지식정보센터)이다.

모바일 기상 정보 서비스에서 USN, 휴대폰, 대중 교통차량 등 다양한 클라이언트로부터 센싱된 데이터는 무선 통신망을 통하여 서버에 수집되어야 한다. 수집된 데이터는 지속적으로 증가하는 대용량 데이터로서 특별한 쿼리 방법과 자료 구조가 요구된다. 이 논문은 기상 정보 서비스를 위해 필요한 시스템 구조를 설계하고 자료구조와 쿼리 유형을 분석한다.

The aims of automation efforts in libraries are the rationalization of interval work and improvement of user services. After a period of exclusive internal computer utilization, later voluntary contact with the computer (e.g., circulation control with self services), patrons of American libraries now have to go to a computer terminal if they want certain information. Online public access catalogs(OPAC) have been used in American libraries since the end of the seventies. But OP AC are accepted by patron only if they have a useful and flexible user interface. This paper briefly describes the use of online catalogs in different type of libraries, categories of user (user, non-user), aspect of catalog use in context with computer experience etc. The disscussion then focuses on the characteristics of the final report of online catalog use study of Council on Library Resources and user problems in searching, as reported in many other catalog use studies.

The one of the most meaningful change in the recent ubiquitous environment is the omnipresence of public digital display device for providing ubiquitous information. It is the important issue to provide publicity as well as adaptive information to each user in the field of the public digital display device. This research proposes the idea ensuring fast response speed by the selection of user preference function. The preference function is selected by statistics using Zipf distribution in the system comprising mobile device and digital display device based on NFC (Near Field Communication). The idea is proved by CPM-GOMS model and the improvement of user response can be achieved.

교회교육의 정상화와 기독교 문화 형성을 위하여 교회도서관의 현황과 문제점을 질문지법으로 조사하였다. 교회도서관 설립은 5년 미만인 교회가 많고, 교회도서관은 시설, 자료구입비가 여전히 빈약하고 전담사서의 배치도 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 일반서적 구성비가 종교서적 구성비보다 높으며, 2007년 이후에 소규모로 단독 신축된 어린이도서관의 어린이자료가 약 80%에 달하였다. 많이 시행되는 프로그램은 독서지도, 동화구연, 가족문화행사, 아동문화행사의 순으로 나타났다. 제언으로는 교회도서관의 적극적인 설치와 자료구입예산의 확보, 비도서자료의 다양한 구비, 도서관 홈페이지의 정비와 검색기능 강화, 전담직원의 확보, 교회내 타 교육기관과의 협력, 지역사회와의 협력, 타기관 도서관과의 상호협력을 주장하였다.

This study aimed to suggest the way to support flood disaster older survivors with analysing how relief services and their human resources are used. For this study, the data was collected from 184 elderly aged over 65 years from Inje and Pyungchang in Gangwon province where lots of flood damages were done. The results of the study was elderly used human resources of public servant/military soldiers, volunteers as public or official services than as private resources. These results provide the evidence that public or official human resources are very helpful to control their emergency situations because there is hardly any use of their private human resources except for assistance from their family. And it shows that older people are willing to use services of life rescue and information services of their family members safety rather than basic supplies, medical care or medicine providing. With this findings we suggest informing the news of family safety including basic necessaries are highly signigicant. Thus, it is useful for disaster planners to understand building immediate life rescue and accurate information delivery systems. These are relevant to older adults' psychological well-being, thus, providing news of family safety including offering material resources are highly needed for older disaster survivors.

Interest about Information infrastructure construction is enlarged socially according to arrival of information age, and various information systems are constructed for efficient business processing, customer service in public sector. According to subjective method for performance improvement for information system of public sector and engine that propel information system construction because it is no definite hardware sizing guidelines for information system caterer, is calculating resource volume of information system. It is situation that problem of excess of scale or reduce sizing is happening and is causing various kind of problems that is waste of information budget and service decline thereby. In this research, we proposed hardware sizing framework for information system that is applied to pubic sector.

1990년도부터 확산되기 시작한 미국 공공도서관 인터넷 서비스의 활성화로 새로운 측면의 도서관 e-서비스에 대한 이해와 측정 평가가 중요한 문제점으로 대두되어 왔다. 이에 본 연구에서는 미국 공공도서관의 인터넷 서비스 품질 평가에 영향을 미치는 주요 결정 요인과 이용자 서비스 만족도 및 서비스 리퍼럴(service referral)과의 관계를 제시하기 위하여 마케팅 경영 분야에서 서비스 품질 평가의 대표적 모델로 알려진 SERVQUAL과 SERVPERF 그리고 현재 미국 대학도서관에서 각광을 받고 있는 도서관 품질 평가 모델인 LibQUAL+ 모델들을 비교 분석하였고 이를 활용하여 인터넷 서비스 품질 평가 모델을 개발함으로써 4가지 주요 인터넷 품질 평가 요인 및 이용자 서비스 만족도와 서비스 리퍼럴(service referral)의 관계를 구체적으로 제시하였다.

본 연구는 국내 공공도서관에서 청각장애인에게 적절하고 전문적인 서비스를 제공하기 위해 필요한 청각장애인 서비스 지침의 개선 요소를 제안하였다. 이를 위해 문헌연구, 국내외 지침 및 매뉴얼 사례분석, 국내 설문조사를 이용하였다. 국내외 사례조사 및 설문조사를 토대로 도출한 구성요소를 필수 요소와 권고 요소로 나누어 국립장애인도서관지원센터에서 개발한 "도서관 장애인서비스 기준 및 지침(2009)"의 개선 요소를 제안하였다. 공공도서관에서 청각장애인 서비스 지침이 개선되어 제시되면 사서는 보다 체계적이고 전문적인 서비스를 청각장애인에게 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
