A Systematic Review of Psychological Distress as a Risk Factor for Recurrent Cardiac Events in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease (관상동맥질환자의 심질환 재발에 영향을 미치는 심리적 디스트레스에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine whether psychological distress is an independent risk factor for recurrent cardiac events in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods: A prospective cohort of studies that measured psychological distress and the incidence of recurrent cardiac events in the adult population were included. Three computerized databases were assessed (PubMed, CINAHL, and PSYCINFO). Meta-analysis was conducted using a random-effects model to determine summary estimates of risks of major recurrent cardiac events associated with each psychological distress. Of 506 publications identified, 33 met inclusion criteria, and 24 studies were used to estimate effect size of psychological distress on recurrent cardiac events. Results: Mean number in the research sample was 736 and mean time of follow-up was 4.0 years. Depression, anxiety, anger, and hostility as psychological factors were studied. According to estimation of effect size using random model effect, depression (OR=1.39, 95% CI: 1.22-1.57), anxiety (OR=1.22, 95% CI: 0.96-1.56), and anger/hostility (OR=1.29, 95% CI: 1.07-1.57) CAD patients in significantly increased risk for recurrent cardiac events. Conclusion: Finding suggests that psychological distress in forms of depression, anxiety, anger, and hostility impact unfavorably on recurrent cardiac events in CAD patients.

  • The main purpose of the study were to investigate a selection motive of clothing and the feeling of wearing of Korean high school students. The results were as follows ; 1. For underwear, the body appearance and the hygienical aspect were shown as important factors in a selection motive of clothing. And the property of matter and hygienical aspect were shown as important factors in the feeling of wearing. 2. For outwear, a functionality and the psychological aspect were shown as important factors in a selective motive of clothing. And a exeroise and the psychological aspect were shown as important factors in the feeling of wearing. 3. For skirt, the psychological aspect was shown as an important factor in a selection motive of clothing and the feeling of wearing. For pants, a functionality was shown as an important factor in a selection motive of clothing. 4. A exercise was shown as an important factor in the feeling of wearing with the silhouette of outwear. 5. The hygienical aspect was shown as an important factor in the demand of selection motive of clothing for comfort.

Factor associated with depression in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (임신성 당뇨 임부의 우울 관련 요인)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to determine the fatigue, self-esteem, and depression of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (G-DM), and to reveal associated factors of depression. Methods: As a descriptive correlation study, data was collected from 119 pregnant women with G-DM. Data was analysed using t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Fatigue, self-esteem, and depression averaged $2.09{\pm}.62$ (range of scale 1~4), $2.63{\pm}.32$ (range of scale 1~6), and $0.45{\pm}.25$ (range of scale 0~3), respectively. The depression varied with a statistical significance according to the age (p=.008), employment (p=.014), child (p=.034), and physical and psychological adjustment of pregnancy (p<.001). We also identified fatigue as the most influencing factor and the physical and psychological adjustment of pregnancy as the second most influencing factor, self-esteem as the third, age as the fourth, and child as the influencing factor on the G-DM women's depression. Conclusions: This research provided a valuable opportunity to recognize G-DM as a personal, and societal problem, which calls for relational support as well as personal support. The healthcare providers need to recognize the emotional aspects of the women with G-DM, and make various efforts to promote the physical and psychological health of the G-DM patients.

An Analysis of Value and Personality for the Crippled Person's Psychological Rehabilitation (지체장애인의 심리적 재활을 위한 성격 및 가치관 분석)

  • This study is search for analyzed the primary factor of psychological characters of crippled person toward psychological rehabilitation that is the most foundmental to all rehabilitation for a crippled person. The research is, make a comparative analyze to personality character, value character, and motion, and then examined the relation of among then, by applies to high school's crippled students. First. in the personality character aspect, a group of crippled student's is shown that the factor of family relations is lack harmony than normal group, that is, shown up that a parents and family members is oversensitiveness to crippled person, So sometimes they overprotectiveness, unconcered, and not accept it is. Also, in the factor of confrontability aspect, a group of crippled person's average is shown to high as compared with normal group, and then, it shown that they are irresponsible, have a weak self-control, and show a marked trend toward self-control. This is means that crippled person have scruples about psychological and social adaptation. But friendship, adaptability, cheefulness. and emotonal stability is shown no difference with normal person. Accordingly, in the personality aspect, the falter of family-relation and confrontability can be know that the object of psychological rehabilitation. Second, in the sence of value aspect, crippled students is show that the average score had higher than normal group toward the factor of variety, therefor we can know that they have purpose to more pursur of variety in the living. This is consideration that a raise from the limited of social contact chance and badly informed and experience. Also, the factor of purpose-intention is shown that crippled students had low non than normal group, then, that means that they have a weak will toward cope with various problems in daily living. Crippled student is, in contrast to lacked fixed purpose with self-living, and also insufficient tring to accomplish their objects. Third, crippled students motion shown that related to low level of personality character and a sence of value factor. Daily living activity is show that related to the factors of confrontability and cheerfulness. This means that rehabilitation service given a change to confrontability and cheerfulness that can be effect is related. And the activity of home is related with confrontability, psychological rehabilitation for the change of activity is can say that it should be contribute to strengthen toward responsibility and self-control from self-central to intention at rho others. Fourth, the relation between an motion and a value of crippled student is shown low level of regulations that can be ignore. In sum, in the rehabilitation of crippled person, hereafter, a study subject is if which search to character factor and to find out effect inter-factors within the the factor of psychological rehabilitation as medical, occupational, social rehabilitation, then probably more effective development toward rehabilitation programs. Conseguently, hereafter for the crippled person's rehabilitaton, the study should be rquirement for establish a character and factors each filed of rehabilitation. The study sibject toward crippled person's rehabilitation for the fature is search for character factor toward medical. occupational, and social rehabilitation. and find out inter-relation among then like as search of this study for psychological rehabilitation. For the rehabilitation of crippled person, if is not preceding of study like this, it ought to be difficult to creation service as well as development to effective program.

The Effect of the Elderly Participation in Lifelong Learning on Psychological Well-Being (고령자의 평생학습 참여동기가 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향)

  • This study empirically analyzed the effects of elderly people participating in lifelong learning on their psychological well-being. For this purpose, 160 elderly people who participated in lifelong education programs in hospitals C and D located in Cheonan city were selected as the subjects. A survey was conducted for 10 days, from May 8, 2019 to May 17, 2019. First, does the goal-oriented factor, which is part of the lifelong learning motivation of the elderly, have a positive effect on their psychological well-being? Second, does the activity-oriented factor of the elderly have a positive effect on their psychological well-being? Third, does the learning-oriented factor of elderly people's motivation for participating in lifelong learning have a positive effect on their psychological well-being? To answer these research questions, variables such as gender, age, marital status, and education level were controlled through correlation analysis, and simple regression analysis was also performed. The results of the direct effect analysis showed that goal-orientation (${\beta}=.244$; p<.001) and activity-orientation (${\beta}=.321$, p<.001) have statistically significant positive effects on psychological well-being. However, a learning-orientation (${\beta}=.284$, p>.001) was found to have no statistically significant effect on psychological well-being. Based on these findings, lifelong learning programs for the elderly should be more goal-oriented and activity-oriented than learning-oriented to promote the psychological well-being of the elderly.

Effect of University Students' Smartphone Addiction on Their Life Management: Mediating Effects of Protective Factor and Risk Factor (대학생들의 스마트폰중독이 자기생활관리에 미치는 영향: 보호요인과 위험요인의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of positive psychological capital as an protective factor and mental health as an risk factor on the relationship between smart phone addiction and self life management of university students. The following are the results of the analysis on the measures of smart-phone addiction, positive psychological capital, mental health and self life management among the 266 college students. First, the analysis of the correlation between relevant factors, smart-phone addiction showed a significant amulet correlation between self life management and positive psychological capital and a significant static correlation between mental health. Second, the positive psychological capital showed a mediate effect as a result of the analysis of university students' smart-phone addiction and self life management. Third, the results of a regression analysis between positive psychological capital and psychosomatic health sub-factors, optimism and resilience in the positive psychological capital and Depression and Impulsion in mental health, had a significant impact on managing self-life management Based on the results of this study, we discussed educational implications for the management of university students ' lives and suggestions for further research.

Effects of Psychological Ownership on the Job Attitude of Employees in General Hospitals (일부 종합병원 종사자의 심리적 주인의식이 직무태도에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives : This study investigated the effects of psychological ownership on job attitude markers (job satisfaction and affective commitment) of employees in general hospitals. Methods : Data were collected using self-administered questionnaire completed by employees in two hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do province, from May 21 to 26, 2014. Job attitude markers were measured by job satisfaction and affective commitment. We analyzed 300 cases using SPSS 21.0. Results : Psychological ownership of hospital employees had a significant effect on the job satisfaction and affective commitment. Psychological ownership explained a total of 20.5% and 9.9% of the variance in job satisfaction and affective commitment while controlling for gender, age, marital status, work position and work experience. Conclusions : Psychological ownership of hospital employees is a useful factor and key to recruiting and conducting training program for them, thus enhancing job attitudes.

Mediating Effect of Psychological Empowerment on the Causal Relationship between High-Performance Work System and Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Social Welfare Organizations

  • The study is to examine the mediating effect of psychological empowerment on the causal relationship between high-performance work system and organizational citizenship behavior. This study collected data from public organizations that are responsible for social welfare provision in Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk-Do, and Pusan in South Korea. This study employs confirmatory factor analysis in Amos 21 to find the discriminant validity of all constructs and regression analysis by Baron and Kenny (1986) to test that psychological empowerment is a mediator of the causal relationship between high-performance work system and organizational citizenship behavior. As the result of the analysis, psychological empowerment has a significant mediating effect on the relationship between high-performance work system and organizational citizenship behavior. The study suggests to the managers in social welfare organizations how they need to enhance organizational citizenship behavior through psychological empowerment themselves.

The Effects of Psychological Separation from Parents and Family Adaptability on Child's Adjustment to College (부모와의 심리적 독립과 가족의 적응성이 자녀의 대학 생활 적응에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed to explore psychological separation from parents, family adaptability, and child's adjustment to college, in order to assess general standards and sex difference. It also investigated explaining variables on children's adjustment to college. The study subjects were 243 college students(male students; 123, female students; 120).The data collected from questionnaire were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t test, Pearson's correlation and hierarchical multiple regression. The main results were as follows: Firstly, psychological separation from parents of college students were lower than those of average score. But family adaptability and adjustment to college of students were higher than those of average score. Secondly, psychological separation from parents was negatively correlated to adjustment to college, but family adaptability was positively correlated to adjustment to college. Finally, variables that explain child's adjustment to college was cohavitation with parents and family adaptability. In addition to these variables, psychological separation from parents was a major factor for female students.

  • The purpose of this study is to present the psychological capital as a leading factor affecting organizational commitment, to determine the role of job satisfaction as a mediator among those, and finally to find the way to increase the commitment by suggesting a new idea for human resources management in the foodservice firms which were having difficulties in finding new employees and in high turnover rates. A survey was conducted on the employees in foodservice firms including both franchise management and direct management restaurants for the period of the month of February 2012, and the data were analyzed with frequency analysis, reliability test, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, path analysis, and mediating effect analysis by using SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 7.0. As a result of the study, the psychological capital factors such as hope, resiliency, and optimism had significant effects on organizational commitment, and job satisfaction strongly mediated the relations of the psychological capital factors as presented above and the organizational commitment.
