  • In this study, we propose a pseudo golf club which can sense user's swing motion and virtual golf simulation system using the pseudo golf club. The proposed system is a virtual golf simulation system of a complex play type in which a player can enjoy various types of golf play according to the user's taste by providing a play mode for hitting an actual golf ball and a play mode for swinging the pseudo golf club. This virtual golf play system calculates and displays the trajectory of a golf ball by a simulator just like playing a real golf, and suggests suitable swing motion, so it helps users to learn golf easily.

  • When supersonic flow is through an internal duct, there forms a flow structure called pseudo-shock. Pseudo-shock is a result of shockwave-boundary layer interaction(SBLI) and to simulate pseudo-shock correctly, one needs to correctly anticipate not only the strength of the shock but also the boundary layer behavior as well. In this study, pseud-shockwave structure at a rectangular duct will be numerically simulated using dedicated inlet boundary conditions to obtain accurate solution in terms of its structure and pressure rise pattern.

  • The electrical characteristics of strained-SOI wafer were evaluated by using pseudo-MOSFET. The electrical characteristics of sSOI pseudo-MOSFET were superior to conventional SOI device. Moreover, the electrical characteristics were enhanced by forming gas anneal due to reduction of back interface trap density between substrate and buried oxide.

  • Strained silicon 기술은 MOSFET 채널 내 캐리어 이동도를 향상시켜 집적회로의 성능을 향상시키는 기술이다. 최근에는 strained 실리콘 기술과 SOI(silicon On Insulator) 기술을 접목시켜 집적회로 소자의 특성을 더욱 향상시킨 SSOI(Strained Silicon On Insulator) 기술이 연구되고 있다.

  • Interval censored data often occur in an observational study where the subject is followed periodically. Instead of observing an exact failure time, two inspection times that include it are available. There are several methods to analyze interval censored failure time data (Sun, 2006). However, in the presence of competing risks, few methods have been suggested to estimate covariate effect on interval censored competing risk data. A sub-distribution hazard model is a commonly used regression model because it has one-to-one correspondence with a cumulative incidence function. Alternatively, Klein and Andersen (2005) proposed a pseudo-value approach that directly uses the cumulative incidence function. In this paper, we consider an extension of the pseudo-value approach into the interval censored data to estimate regression coefficients. The pseudo-values generated from the estimated cumulative incidence function then become response variables in a generalized estimating equation. Simulation studies show that the suggested method performs well in several situations and an HIV-AIDS cohort study is analyzed as a real data example.

  • This study was conducted to clarify the floristic composition and to investigate the landscape structure of habitats of Aconitum pseudo-leave var. erectum. A. pseudo-leave is designated an endemic plant in Korea. Floristic compositions of habitats were mainly composed of Quercus mongolica community. Other elements in this composition were Weigela subsessilis, Corylus sieboldiana and Cornus contioversa. Landscape ecological structure of habitats were defined by soils of mesic, loamy skeletal, slope of more than 60$^{\circ}$, sixty percent of woody coverage at 460-520m above the sea level and 25m away from drainage. Distribution patterns of A. pseudo-leave var. erectum plants in Taejon were presented on the 1km X 1km grid map.

  • In this paper, we prove that a diffeomorphism f on a normal almost contact 3-manifold M is a CRL-transformation if and only if M is an α-Sasakian manifold. Moreover, we show that a CR-loxodrome in an α-Sasakian 3-manifold is a pseudo-Hermitian magnetic curve with a strength $q={\tilde{r}}{\eta}({\gamma}^{\prime})=(r+{\alpha}-t){\eta}({\gamma}^{\prime})$ for constant 𝜂(𝛄'). A non-geodesic CR-loxodrome is a non-Legendre slant helix. Next, we prove that let M be an α-Sasakian 3-manifold such that (∇YS)X = 0 for vector fields Y to be orthogonal to ξ, then the Ricci tensor 𝜌 satisfies 𝜌 = 2α2g. Moreover, using the CRL-transformation $\tilde{\nabla}^t$ we fine the pseudo-Hermitian curvature $\tilde{R}$, the pseudo-Ricci tensor $\tilde{\rho}$ and the torsion tensor field $\tilde{T}^t(\tilde{S}X,Y)$.

  • Treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS) has been defined as the persistence of positive symptoms despite two or more trials of antipsychotic medication of adequate dose and duration. TRS is a serious clinical problem and occurs in approximately 30% of patients with schizophrenia. It is important that patients who do not adequately respond to antipsychotics be reevaluated to exclude or address causes other than non-responsiveness to medication, that is, the possibility of pseudo-resistance. In particular, non-adherence to oral antipsychotic treatment should be monitored to rule out pseudo-resistant cases of TRS. Moreover, patients with TRS who take their medication as required may have subtherapeutic antipsychotic plasma levels, secondary to pharmacokinetic factors. In this paper, we review the concept and exclusion of pseudo-resistance, especially owing to non-adherence or pharmacokinetic factors, and present methods to enhance drug adherence.

  • The aim of this paper is to investigate Betchov-Da Rios equation by using null Cartan, pseudo null and partially null curve in Minkowski spacetime. Time derivative formulas of frame of s parameter null Cartan, pseudo null and partially null curve are examined, respectively. By using the obtained derivative formulas, new results are given about the solution of Betchov-Da Rios equation. The differential geometric properties of these solutions are obtained with respect to Lorentzian causal character of s parameter curve. For a solution of Betchov-Da Rios equation, it is seen that null Cartan s parameter curves are space curves in three-dimensional Minkowski space. Then all points of the soliton surface are flat points of the surface for null Cartan and partially null curve. Thus, it is seen from the results obtained that there is no surface corresponding to the solution of Betchov-Da Rios equation by using the pseudo null s parameter curve.

  • To determine the faults of ceramic cup it is proposed to use pseudo reverberation time concept estimated by impact test in room. Schroeder curves estimated from impact test for a cup with small crack and without one are utilized to estimate pseudo reverberation time. Pseudo reverberation times are compared and discussed according to a sort of impact hammers and impact points and also boundary conditions. As a result. proposed method is proved to be very useful to detect the existence of faults for candidate cups.
