  • The aim of the present paper is to study the lifts of a golden structure to tangent bundles of order r. We proved that r-lift of the golden structure F in the tangent bundle of order r is also a golden structure. We have also proved some theorems on the projection tensor in the tangent bundle of order r. Later we have established prolongations of G-structures immersed in the golden structure to the tangent bundle of order r and 2. Finally, we constructed few examples of the golden structure that admit an almost para contact structure on the tangent bundle of order 3 and 4.

  • Many projection methods have been progressively constructed to find more accurate and efficient solution of the Navier-Stokes equations. In this paper, we consider most recently constructed projection methods: the pressure correction method, the gauge method, the consistent splitting method, the Gauge-Uzawa method, and the stabilized Gauge-Uzawa method. Each method has different background and theoretical proof. We prove equivalentness of the pressure correction method and the stabilized Gauge-Uzawa method. Also we will obtain that the Gauge-Uzawa method is equivalent to the gauge method and the consistent splitting method. We gather theoretical results of them and conclude that the results are also valid on other equivalent methods.

  • A simple dimension measuring method for the measurement of human bust has been developed using projection moire. The 3-D data of a human bust was calculated from the 2dimensional image information obtained by the stripe using projection moire. The creation of 3-D geometric shape by digitizing real objects has been widely investigated in reverse engineering(RE). This procedure generally consists of three basic steps: data capture, data alignment and model reconstruction. In order to achieve a complete model, multiple scans must be taken and aligned.

  • MD (DLP, LCoS) Projection TV is appropriate for large screen display with high definition at a relatively low price and thus, has been popular in the digital TV market. In order to realize high resolutions in the DLP projection TV, we successfully developed the Pixel Enhancement Actuator. Furthermore, it is also required that the contrast ratio of projected video signals onto a large screen should be improved. Therefore, we propose a contrast enhancer which adjusts the amount of projected lights by a dynamic aperture and a attached position sensor.

  • The major aim of this paper is to develop a hypothetical set of age-specific fertility rates which are logically derived and reasonably accurate in the projection of future population. The first procedure is to select a generalized log-gamma distribution model, which includes Coale-McNeil nuptiality model, in order to estimate and project a set of age-specific fertility rates by birth cohort and birth order. The second is to apply the log-gamma model with an empirical adjustment to the actual data to estimate and project the future fertility rates for relatively young birth cohorts who did not complete their reproductive career. This study reconstructs or translates a set of cohort age-specific fertility rates into a set of period age-specific fertility rates which must be hypothesized in order to establish the broader framework of future population projection. For example, the fertility at age 20 in the year of 2020 is the fertility at age 20 for the cohort born in 1990, while the fertility at age 21 in the year of 2020 is the fertility at 21 for the cohort born in 1989. In turn, once a set of age-specific fertility rates for the cohorts who were born up to the year of 2010, it is possible for one to establish an hypothetical set of period age-specific fertility rates which will be needed to project the future population until the year of 2055. The difference in the hypothetical system of age-specific fertility rates between this study and the 2005 special population projection comes from the fact that the fertility estimation/projection model used in this study was skillfully exploited to reflect better actual trend of fertility decline caused by rise in marriage age and increasing proportion of those who remain single until their end of reproduction. In this regard, this paper argues that the set of age-specific fertility rates derived from this study is more logical and reasonably accurate than the set of those used for the 2005 special projection. In the population projection, however, the fundamental issue of the hypothetical setting of age-specific fertility rates in relation to the fertility estimation/projection model is about how skillfully one can handle the period effects. It is not easy for one to completely cope with the problem of period effects except for the a minor period adjustment based on recent actual data, along with the given framework of a cohort-based fertility estimation/projection model.

  • Background Numerous techniques have been used to achieve long-term projection of the nipple following nipple-areola reconstruction. However, the reconstructed nipple loses projection over time. We describe a technique that uses local flaps to improve the lost projection of reconstructed nipples. Methods Between November 2013 and March 2015, nine patients (11 nipples) underwent revisional nipple reconstruction for lost projection. Only C-H nipple reconstructions were included in this study. The medical history of each patient was reviewed and photographs were taken in front and lateral views. All patients attended routine follow-up visits. Deepithelialized triangular flaps were made on all four sides of the nipple and buried in the opposite corners in order to augment the volume of the nipple. Anchoring sutures were used to attach each triangular flap on the side opposite their point of origin, and the resulting defects were closed directly. Results This procedure was used successfully in nine patients (11 nipples). Adequate projection was achieved in all patients and no complications occurred. The average nipple height was 3 mm before operation, 7 mm one day after operation, 5 mm at the six-month follow-up, and 5 mm at the 12-month follow-up. The average nipple-areolar angle was $164^{\circ}$ before the operation, $111^{\circ}$ one day after the operation, $130^{\circ}$ at the six-month follow-up, and $133^{\circ}$ at the 12-month follow-up. Conclusions The method described provides a solution to the loss of projection in reconstructed nipples. We recommend this technique because it leads to better projection, greater volume, and a more natural shape.

  • We propose a rolled fingerprint merging algorithm that effectively merges plain fingerprints in consecutive frame units that are fed through rolling and detects more fingerprint minutiae in order to increase the fingerprint recognition rate. The proposed rolled fingerprint merging algorithm uses a adaptive projection mask; it contains a detector that separates plain fingerprints from the background and a projection mask generator that sequentially projects the detect ed images. In addition, in the merging unit, the pyramid-shaped projection method is used to detect merged rolled fingerprints from the generated variable projective mask, starting from the main images. Simulations show that the extracted minutia e are 46.79% more than those from plain fingerprints, and the proposed algorithm exhibits excellent performance by detecting 52.0% more good fingerprint minutiae that are needed for matching.

  • Histogram intersection method, that counts the occurrence of color pixels, is one of the easy and simple color image retrieval methods. The method has an appropriate global property but does not contain the knowledge of shape for images. The absence of spatial information makes it difficult to discriminate images of the similar histogram. The application of one-dimensional projection to each image enables to obtain shape or spatial information of image. But in this case there is another problem having different length of the projection vector according to the size of each image. Thus this paper proposes a method that uses relative distances between peaks and their maximum value in the projection vector. In order to verify retrieval performance, the experimental results between the histogram intersection method, the projection only method, and the proposed one are compared and analyzed.

  • This article investigates the situation of the Plane Rectangular Coordinate derived from the Gauss Double Projection whereby the positioning of triangulation point in Korea has been represented on. Analyzing and assessing it have been performed by means of new computational method such as computer programing. On the basis of the results brought about, it is found that a new Plane Rectangular Coordinate as well as map projection and scale factor of geodetic length may be adapted to improve the distortion along the geodetic line on a certain zone of map projection in order to enhance the accuracy and the utility of the practical surveying works. The proposals for this study are as follows; (1) projection: Gauss-Kruger's projection (2) Coordinate system: Plane Rectangular coordinate with 8 origin system (3) Scale factor of geodetic length in origin; $m_0=0.9999$

  • We propose a projection-based analysis of a new hybridizable discontinuous Gale-rkin method for second order elliptic equations. The method is more advantageous than the standard HDG method in a sense that the new method has higher-order accuracy and lower computational cost, and is more flexible. Notable distinctions of our new method, when compared to the standard HDG emthod, are that our method uses $L^2$-projection and suitable stabilization parameter depending on a mesh size for superconvergence. We show that the error for the solution of the equation converges with order p + 2 when we only use polynomials of degree p + 1 as a finite element space without postprocessing. After establishing the theory, we carry out numerical tests to demonstrate and ensure that the proposed method is effective and accurate in practice.
